THINGS TO KNOW
The Skykomish and the North Central Cascades are a historic area for the Great Northern Railroad, built between 1889-1903 by John Frank Stevens, for whom Stevens Pass was named. Trains still pass through the area to this day, creating occasional noise as they pass through the area. Most guests find this a charming aspect of the home and the area. We provide earplugs as a courtesy for any sensitive guests.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) Acceptable Accommodations
The home is tucked away a few miles off Rte 2. The approach through the neighborhood offers a rustic sense of wilderness. The roads are well maintained. The location along the river is spectacular as is the outdoor space surrounding the home. The interior of the home leaves much to be desired. While there are some efforts to maintain an updated interior there are a few areas where money could be spent to dramatically improve the experience. The first suggestion would be to replace the couch (very uncomfortable). The storage space for clothes and personal belongings is poor in the main bedroom. The bathroom is small and the sink was not affixed to the wall so if any weight is placed on the front of the vanity, it tips forward (making a big mess). The kitchen was acceptable with a coffee maker, a ton of utensils, pots, pans, cutting boards, and knives. It is time to replace the cover on the hot tub. It was impossible to remove the cover of the hot tub as it was decomposing and completely water-logged. The owners provide a Sony PS2 which was fun for my kids as well as access to digital media (Netflix, YouTube, etc). We probably would look for a bit more value in a home for our text trip to Washington. The property manager for the home was exceptionally responsive with prompt help when needed. Thank you.

Beautiful view, overall very cosy cabin. Only drawback was the kitchen.
Beautiful river views from the windows, the hot tub worked great and felt decently private (although you can see the neighbors a bit on either side of the privacy screen), and it was nice that it is close enough to stores. Inside was very clean and cozy other than the dishwasher. It was covered in mold and was also broken (only had the top pull out section), which was pretty gross and called into question the cleanliness of the dishes. Other than that, the bed was pretty comfortable, they had thoughtful equipment available for pet owners, and they had plenty of towels and good guest instructions. There were no dinner knives and the kitchen equipment is pretty limited so keep that in mind (only have one oven baking pan, no foil/parchment paper, etc), but did come stocked with helpful things like wine/beer openers, a microwave, coffee pot, etc. The road is decently busy and in view of certain angles, but inside the cabin you can hear zero noise which is nice, and the river sound distracts while outside. As mentioned in other reviews, it's a bit of a dicey walk to the river directly out of the cabin, but we walked about 15 minutes down the road to a parking area and walked along the river a bit from there.

Superb quiet location with river view and hot tub under the stars.
Too bad the beautiful property is not maintained the way it should be. The kitchen inventory was also incomplete (for example a broken coffee machine).
