About this property

Deep Cove Waterfront - The Wheelhouse

Brand new waterfront suite with private deck and hot tub. You will be right on the water with full access to the waterfront deck, beach, outdoor shower and hot tub. Ideal for a couple - can accept up to 4. Just a few minutes walk to the charming village of Deep Cove, and less than 30 minutes drive to downtown Vancouver. Enjoy the beach and hot tub, do the Quarry Rock hike and enjoy the beautiful views of Deep Cove. At the end of the day, you can cook in the full kitchen, use the barbecue or visit one of the many excellent restaurants in the Village.

You will be staying in a locked off ground level suite. Lockbox access through the sliding glass doors.

I live in the upstairs part of the house - and there is excellent soundproofing, so you probably won't hear me. I will be available by cell phone if you have any issues with the property, or any questions. If I am away I will have somebody available to help.

I will occasionally pass by your deck to access the beach or the private dock which is shared with my neighbour (no guest access-sorry) but your privacy will be respected.

Comfortable queen size bed will be made up for your arrival. There is also a double futon that can sleep two kids (or friendly adults!) Both beds have upgraded mattresses and are very comfortable! Brand new - enjoy your stay in Paradise.

Please note that there are approximately 40 steps down to the suite. These are wide steps with a hand rail, but guests with mobility issues may want to discuss this before booking.

Deep Cove is a very quiet and restful place. Loud noise and parties are not allowed - sound carries over the water! Quiet hours after 10PM please.
Guests must be able to climb stairs. Our beachfront suite is approximately 3 stories down from the street (and back up!)
Use of deck, beach, hot tub, kayak and paddle board strictly at your own risk. Children welcome, but must be supervised at all times.

Lovely little place with great views over Deep Cove. Had seals visit the beachfront. Paddle boarding was a nice bonus. Hot tub was super relaxing after a long walk. Close to walking trails and only 45 minutes drive from the city. Great communication from host Blair.

This modern and beautifully equipped apartment right on the water is peaceful and comfortable with everything we needed for a delightful stay. It is a few steps from the Quarry Trail hike (which is challenging, by the way) and a short walk to a pretty park with nearby restaurants. The owner was very considerate and helpful and provided clear instructions for everything. We felt fortunate to stay there. Thank you.

Noteworthy location

We spent 3 lovely days in Vancouver BC at the Wheelhouse. The accommodations were exactly as described, clean and comfortable with a beautiful view. There is a charming park as well as several trails in walking distance Pack lightly as there are several flights of steps down to the studio. Would definetly stay again.

A True Gem!

The location of the Wheelhouse was perfect and the views of the cove were stunning. We saw a seal several times from the deck. I went kayaking and saw many more seals. We walked into town one day for ice cream and some shopping. The kitchen was nice and well stocked and the bed was comfy. We hope to stay here again!

Great place

We had a great time during our stay at the Wheelhouse. Blair was readily available for the few questions we had. The apartment is recently remodeled and was very clean upon arrival. We enjoyed the water views, use of deck and watching the seals swimming right in front of the property. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you Blair!!

Best place ever I highly recommend

This is a must-stay!!! The room is squeaky clean and huge. The TV is big and stereo is very nice. Full kitchen has everything you need. The laundry machine and the washing machine are very nice and new. I love everything about the place. It is very private and has a wonderful lake front view. We used the Jacuzzi at night and it was a great experience. I stayed with my wife and my daughter who is 14 months. She seems really enjoy it since the room is large and kinda safe for babies. The walk down to the room is a little bit steep and narrow but we enjoy it. The neighborhood is so peaceful and beautiful. The restaurant and coffee in nearby town which you can walk for 15 mins are delicious. I can't say enough nice things about this room. Just book it. It's definitely the best place you can find in Vancouver for couples or small family. Will definitely comeback and stay here again. Thanks for hosting us.

Mini-moon

This place was a wonderful place to stay. We got to use the hot tub. Great location for being close to the city and attractions but far enough out that we can enjoy peace, quiet and the amazing views. Only gave this a 4 star because the information was a little out of date. The wifi was wrong, and code to get in the lock box for the key was wrong. Luckily, Blair was on sight to help get the lock box open. Also, he had an instruction book to help with the wifi. I will saw as a warning... the driveway pretty steep, it has a lip that is a little high on it. So, if your vehicle has a low clearance and is manual take it slow make sure your car is not weighted down. Other than that, I would gladly recommend and stay here again. Thanks for everything!
