House was perfect for us. Awesome garage and bar area for hanging out in a large open area.

This is a private home that is sometimes rented out. It is not a dedicated vacation home, which is fine, but that was not clear in the listing and not expected based on the price. This meant that there were personal belongings around the house (including around the computer space) and personal clothing throughout the house. There were not open closets or dressers for guests use, which was not expected especially based on the price. Additionally, the bed situation wasn't great. The main listing states that there are: Bedroom 1 (queen), Bedroom 2 (queen); Bedroom 3 (queen); bedroom 4 (queen); and Bedroom 5 (double futon). When we got the house we discovered that there is actually: the primary bedroom (comfy queen); the boys room (single over double bunk bed); the makeshift closet room (with clothes hanging around and a blow-up queen mattress); the office (with computer and work information and a double futon with a surprisingly comfy mattress, but not a queen size); and then the pull out couch in the living room (which we did not open because there was trash and granola bar wrappers under the cushions). Now, if you click the link for "See all rooms and beds details" the listing does clarify that the "futon" is the pull out couch in the living room; there is an air mattress in one room; and there is a queen murphy bed which is actually the futon in the downstairs office. While I wouldn't say the listing is a lie, it's not an accurate picture of what you're getting.
What a beautiful property! Stayed here with a group of girlfriends, and enjoyed the open yard, hot tub, and all the amenities with the house. Ryan and his wife were very quick to respond, and gave the best recommendations on marinas and the best eats in their local town.
Would 10/10 recommended to family and friends. We loved our weekend on torch lake in Rapid City!
We stayed here for a 13 girl bachelorette party. The listing is completely accurate. You are less than 15 minutes away from Torch Lake, yet completely secluded. They had all of the amenities we would need (fire wood, propane for the grill, bedding, etc.). Ryan + Jodi were so relaxed on our check in and check out times, and were just great people to rent from. 10/10 recommend for your next girls trip!
The property was very nice. It was inset in the woods but not far away from Torch Lake. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The bonfire pit was nice and the garage had a nice bar where we could all just hangout. I would highly recommend the place. Communication was clear and fast which made things easier when you may have little cell service.
We came here with 8 guys for a golf weekend. Unfortunately it rained the majority of the weekend. The huge garage ended up being a perfect place to hang out with the group as we waited for the rain to pass, while playing cards, bags, and watching sports on the huge TV.
It's very close to Fabiano's for a boat rental to take to the sandbar (if it wouldn't have rained), and within 20 minutes of 10 different championship golf courses. The location is great as long as you don't need to be on the water (and don't want to pay extra to do so).
Just a note- the property says it can hold 8-10, and that would work fine with couples and families where you're sharing beds. One of the beds noted in the listing is an air mattress. The ability to hook up a camper or trailer was a great benefit in order to allow for everyone to have their own bed.
