The cabin had amazing views, the option of two decks for viewing. My children loved the pool table and option of board games. This was our first vacation rental and has truly set the standard for future stays. Their was way more steps then i expected and it was truly a workout. Challenge was accepted.
We loved our stay! Host made himself available which brought comfort if needed. House was in a great location, everything was as described. We would definitely love to come back one day.

Very cozy and comfortable property. Directions and check-in info was very detailed. Amazing view of Lake Arrowhead from both floors of the cabin! We also loved the huge decks.

Family Friendly Cabin with Awsome View and Amenities
We stayed November 24-26. This cabin has an awesome view of the lake and has many amenities. My children really enjoy playing pool, and game boards. Full kitchen, tons of space throughout the cabin, very clean. I will definitely recommend staying here.

Our stay in Lake Arrowhead cabin on Thanksgiving
The cabin was very old and much maintenance needed. The 45 steps to get to the cabin was frustrating and not comfortable for elderly, children and or sick people at all. The cold breeze was easily getting into the property through the windows due to unsealed edges. The view from the living room on both levels were nice and easy to view the lake. The 3rd room was actually a loft with a pool table with difficulty to play due to limited space.

beautiful views. Great house. Great location
the property was great for our family. However we booked this vacation to get away from the heat. And the house was extremely hot due to the fact that it didn't have air conditioning. I was not aware of this nor did I think to even ask. Living in the low desert, I assume all houses have air conditioning. This made the trip very uncomfortable for our family. It was 95 inside all day until the sun went down and we could open windows. The portable ac units did nothing to cool the place down. On the plus side, the house had everything we needed for our family of 3 plus two dogs. The dogs loved going to the lake. The house does have great views of the lake. There is nice area outside on the porch to eat and play games. It would have been great if it wasn't so brutally hot.

Just as the review says, we have fantastic views of the lake and it is a great house and at a great location. It has been brutally hot everywhere in Southern California this summer and that includes our mountain community and the coast. Houses generally do not have A/C in mountain communities and at the coast. We like to listen to our guests and we have installed a centralized A/C system now in our house to help our guests in summer.
We have also enhanced our house with a new living room set with reclining sofas and a new sofa bed upstairs. We strive to provide a 5 star experience for all of our guests by offering them a very clean house with a beautiful view of the lake from all levels. We however, still cannot control the weather outside.
The house was really hot. AC did not work that great. There were cobwebs everywhere. We spent the first hour after driving a great distance cleaning up the property including the deck. We talked to the property manager, and he was going to send someone out the following day, but no one showed up, and he never responded when I told him. (other than that he was really responsive) The lock on the front door continuously beeped and the next day locked us out. (property manager helped us get in but later on it started beeping again sporadically) Nail on deck sticking out was dangerous and a nail on the spiral staircase was dangerous. Although the view was beautiful we would not recommend the property.

Got us through the weekend, but wouldn't stay again.
The house is... fine. The stairs into the house didn't bother us (young couple with two small children) and the view was really nice. However, the house has two sets of stairs once instead and one set is a metal spiral staircase that has tennis balls on it to protect you from hitting your head.
The basement, which is advertised as the "master bedroom" is far from the advertised "romantic retreat" and smells like animal pee. Although it's advertised as 3 bedrooms, it's really only one bedroom with a basement and loft - requiring small children to either be closest to the front door or in the basement alone. The third bed was a mattress on the floor in the corner of the basement.
The upstairs bathroom sink is a pedestal and wasn't attached - my husband leaned in to shave and nearly knocked the entire thing over and we couldn't turn the water on more than a trickle or it came out like a fire hose.
Lastly, we got into town 2.5 hours ahead of schedule and stopped by. We saw that the house was unoccupied and tidied so we asked if we could go ahead and go in, but in spite of those things they wanted to charge us an extra $45. I get that they can't accommodate every early check-in situation, but we were literally parked outside and it was abundantly clear that between the 2.5 hours nothing was going to inconvenience anyone - except for the parents of two small children who had to drive around aimlessly killing time.
I don’t typically air grievances in reviews, but it was even too much for me to ignore. We loved the area, but the cabin was the worst part of the trip.
Very nice 3 level home with an upper and lower deck, both with an amazing view of Lake Arrowhead. The sunsets were beautiful. There is a propane BBQ on the upper deck, we had a beautiful family dinner on the deck as the sun was setting over the lake. The kitchen was fully stocked with dinning wear, coffee counter, air fryer, full stove/oven, pretty much everything a chef might need. The owner just put in air conditioning. On the 3rd level is the billards/game room. There is a full size pool table which we enjoyed and family games and puzzles. The lower level deck has nice hanging lights for atmosphere. The property Mgr was very nice and very responsive, checking in was simple. Our family enjoyed our stay. The only issue we encountered was being in good enough, physical shape for the 47 steps down to the front door. Our family usually over packs, so, we definitely got a workout going up and down those 47 steps. All in all, it was a great family adventure including our 2 small dogs, we enjoyed the nearby beach and village.

The cabin run down and 46 steep steps
You said several stairs it almost fifty the stairs were so run down when you step down the boards they bend and we got splinters-on our hands. The decks boards we so rotten that when we walked out on they bent the screen door had holes in it and couldn’t get it to slide. The place was generally run down. Also had trouble with the electricity. Overall the place doesn’t match the pictures online.
Great place to relax and unwind with friends and/or possibly family. Silent and peaceful.

45+ Very Steep Stairs but Great View!
I want to give this cabin between 2 and 3 stars. This cabin has very steep stairs and they are okay if you are not a senior or a toddler. Better be in good shape! they are dangerous especially when moving your luggage in and ice coolers...this cabin is not clean and needs some renovations. They put plug-ins to cover the smell downstairs. Some of the pots and pans are very disgusting and should be replaced. The same goes for spatulas. There are no bowls for food preparation. I emailed the host to make sure we had what we needed for cooking and he says yes. If only the host/homeowners would put just a little EFFORT in the upkeep of the cabin, it would have been a better experience. There is only 2 bedrooms not 3 (it is an open loft with a pull out sofa). We had to hunt for towels...there is no toilet paper holder in the downstairs bathroom and not even a shower head holder either. You have to hold the showerhead while taking a bath. The twin bed downstairs sits directly on the carpet; some of the lamps did not work and there was not any lighting over the kitchen table - we were eating in the dark. YOU ARE PAYING FOR THE VIEW ONLY. THE VIEW WAS AMAZING...BUT I would definitely not stay here again.
The A-frame house is in a nice location with a beautiful view of the lake.It has all basic necessities but there is no luxury. We stayed here during the week in mid September which was very quiet and perfect for a short get away.

Too many stairs
I gave this place three stars, when overall it really earns four. This is because the 45 very steep stairs made it very difficult for us to come and go from the property. The listing says "several stairs." No! 45 very steep stairs. If you have knee or heart issues, or are over the age of 60, this is probably not the place for you. Otherwise, the house is nice and location good. But the ad needs to fess up to the stair problem for older visitors.

Renter Beware
Arrowhead Cabin
The cabin is priced at a 4 star rate but the quality is about 2 stars. It is badly in need of a update.
Rickety very steep and dangerous stairs from the street to the cabin.
Ridiculous yellow Tennis balls are on the underside of spiral staircase to protect your head when you hit it which you will. The staircase is coming unbolted and is dangerous.
The loveseat is so close to the spiral staircase that my son hit his head on it as he was walking.
There are only 2 bedrooms not 3 as stated. The supposed 3rd bedroom has a full-size pool table with broken pool cues taking up the entire floor and a small couch right up next to it.
The air conditioning is terrible the thermostat is located on the lowest level and there is not much of any insulation on the other 2 floors. So you freeze when on the lower level and sweat and are very uncomfortable on the other levels.
We had to drive to other lakes because Lake Arrowhead does not allow renters to use the lake.
The screen door needs to be replaced it has to be wrestled to open and close.
Almost every corner is cluttered.
We had to hunt for towels and washcloths.
All pots and pans were dirty with food stuck on them. The same for spatulas.
The pots and pans need to be replaced the nonstick coating is scraped off with metal showing.
We needed to wash all plates, bowls and silverware before use. They were all dirty.
No mixing bowl, or measuring spoons. No spatula for scrambled eggs.
A clean sponge was not supplied we had to hunt down a washcloth to clean all of the dirty kitchen ware before use.
The main bedroom on the lower level is either very dusty or moldy. My eyes itch, nose gets stuffy and throat gets scratchy when I am down there. It smells like febrezz or something else was used to cover up odors.
The carpet on the stairs is completely worn out.
The claw foot bathtub does not work properly the switch from handheld shower head to spout is broken which means you have to hold the shower head while taking a bath.
We were very disappointed and will rent elsewhere in the future.
A/C doesn't work. Over 100 degrees. 50 steps straight down to get to home. Bed bugs or spiders. Bathroom has water damage and mold. Stay somewhere else! No help from home owner or management Co. Vbro didn't help either. Ruined our trip. Don't ruin yours. Good luck...

First of all, guest was verbally abusive. On the phone and also via Voicemail. Guest threaten to call his bank and cancel payment, i offered him a refund and refused it, then after his vacation stay he called VRBO to say all these lies and negative comments. I submitted our conversation stating the refund and him turning it down. So it makes sense that he leave a bad review and add VRBO with it, because he didn't get what he wanted.
Also did not read house rules and property description.
We stayed a week here and had a great time. The home is exactly as listed. 3 stories, very clean, beautiful view. LOTS of stairs down to the property and then up and down the 3 stories, but it was a good workout! We didn’t mind the street noise on the patio from the street below, as we’re used to it living on a busy street ourselves. Kitchen was well stocked with the essentials we needed to cook all week. There was a side yard where our doggies could do their business. As long as you know you cannot access the lake and are ok with going elsewhere for your water play, this was the perfect location. We made day trips to Big Bear and Green Valley lake to get in the water, but also enjoyed visiting the village at Lake Arrowhead. The host, George, is awesome and very responsive. And the owner, Ana, is lovely and sweet. Would recommend.
