Great location but it didn't met our expectations
This is a small cozy cabin with a nice lake view. We just spent 5 days during christmas this year. However, there were a few things we didn't like: the cabin was not clean as it should be especially during these Covid times. We found trash on the balcony right when we got there. The bedsheets were dirty and smell like used, we found hairs within sheets and covers in the beds ew!. The dishes most of them were old, there weren't enough kitchen utensils (forks, spoons, etc for 11 people). I am glad we took our own plastic utensils. The blender is a joke, is way too small! Another problem was the hot water, not enough for all my family members. We were constantly having issues not having enough hot water. The room downstairs is way too cold and the mattresses are horrible! I could not sleep at all in the "queen" bed downstairs. I would not recommend staying in this cabin if you are taking your whole family. Hopefully, they take care of these issues...

I apologize the cabin was not up to your expectations during the holiday season. I know housekeeping is very busy during this time but all spaces should be clean, linens washed and changed between every guest.
Since your stay a brand new hot water heater and furnace were installed in March of 2021. We have added additional silverware, dishes and a new blender as well. Thank you for your feedback.
The downstairs is suitable for kids or teens or individual sleepers. It has a twin over full bunk bed and a single twin, there is no queen bed listed in description.
Check in process was very easy.
Location of cabin/parking was a little challenging to find but we managed.
The throw blankets were Faux Fur my group suffers from allergies the first day we couldn't stop sneezing but nothing some febreze fabric spray can't fix.
I would recommend for the group to take disposable plates/cups/utensils.
Pots and Pans are a little outdated.
Host deserves a 5 star rating we actually caught a snow storm and had trouble heading out the day of check out a few of us had to stay an extra night communication was very good and welcoming.
Definitely recommend this home/cabin.
Fantastic location and atmosphere. Clean, cozy, spacious and well equipped. Very responsive host. Family friendly.
Bathrooms especially showers could do with some updating. Little difficulty showering in tight bathtubs with only plastic screens. In winter storm , could not access parking since access road was snowed in. Had to park on road and walk about 200 feet. Housekeeper was extremely helpful and helped us get our car out of the ice.
Lower bedroom was a bit colder than rest of house but manageable.
Overall quite satisfying for 2 or 3 days and the kids loved it.
We all loved it......the ambience was perfect. Everyone enjoyed themselves and all pitched in when ready to leave.....Would definitely come back with our large adult family.

Thank you very much for your feedback Ann! Very happy your family enjoyed themselves.
We did not have the opportunity to see snow but it was fun except that the basement bedroom I think need to a makeover. For me it was a creepy room and no one sleep on it. We prefer to sleep in the living room

Thank you for your stay Itzayana. The soft lighting, vintage clawfoot tub and other vintage furniture on bottom level many find charming but may be too rustic for your taste. Thank you for the feedback
6 of us stayed in the cabin, 4 adults and 2 toddlers. The booking was easy and the owner had clear and quick communication. Check-in was easy and smooth. We were expecting 4 bedrooms and 3 baths in the main portion of the house and were surprised there are only 3 bedrooms (with 4 beds bc one is a trundle) and 2 baths. It appears there’s only the additional bedroom and bath if you add on the basement. The view is gorgeous. The patio is the only outdoor area on the property to comfortably hang out because the front yard is a steep slope and the back is the access road. It snowed heavily on our visit and we felt lucky to have the access road for snow play and sledding. The house had 3 sleds and an array of snow clothes (still bring your own clothes, of course). I was grateful to borrow a set of gloves when my daughter’s got soaked. The kitchen is cute and had the basics but I would suggest guests to bring their own cutting knives. Hot water is in short supply so quick showers are a must and should be timed out from other usage. Overall we had a great time and the cabin met our needs.

Thank you for your notes Jaclyn, the entire house (4 bedrooms, 3 baths) are now included when you rent through VRBO.
I also replaced the hot water heater and furnace with brand new ones -March 2021.
It was our first time in Lake Arrowhead and Kylee could not have been more communicative and helpful before and throughout our stay. With COVID there are a lot of restrictions on lake access and she did everything to help us navigate the process. The house was lovely and much of it felt recently renovated, but also very cozy. The balcony offered a sliver of lake view which was beautiful. The location was perfect. Just a few minutes from Blue Jay. We would definitely stay at this house again!

About the host
Hosted by Kylee Cochran
I have lived half my life in Los Angeles, CA and consider it my home. Everything you can think of is available in this town and within an hour and a half I can be in the mountains at our chalet skiiing or enjoying the lake. While I love being at my home, I like knowing that within moments I could be enjoying all the area has to offer. I am a very active person and I've spent a great deal of time exploring the great outdoors. The first half of my life was spent growing up in Utah and I’ll always have an affinity for the mountains and pines! I am a marathon runner and love to hike and run wherever I travel. I have 4 wonderful children and they love to help me host in our beautiful home in the city and our cozy mountain chalet.
Why they chose this property
I chose this property for its floor to ceiling windows that look out in to the pines and the 2 story rock fireplace. It has a very open floor plan on the main level. The kitchen flows in to the dining area and in to the comfortable living room. It has a woodsy feeling but is very comfortable and I've taken great care to renovate the place with comfort in mind. It is close enough to the lake to walk around the lake path and close to Blue Jay village for breakfast, dining, glass of wine or a movie and the grocery store. NOTE: There is a bottom level to the property that can be added to your rental for additional fee. It is a fully self-contained studio apartment with full bathroom and kitchenette. It may be available during your stay to add to your reservation if you need extra space or access to laundry facilities. It sleeps up to 4 guests.
What makes this property unique
Glimmerville Prow style cabin has floor to ceiling windows in the great room that give you the feel of being part of nature while staying cozy inside. It is close to Blue Jay village for all necessities and comes with Lake pass for access to the lakes Beach Clubs for swimming and the lake walking paths. UPDATE: Due to COVID19 the Lake Association is restricting beach clubs access to members and their immediate family only, ID will be required for entrance.
