Hi Tommy,
Thank you very much for the great review. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your vacation at our home. We hope you will come back again!
Regards,
John and Lois
Overall space was great , it had everything my family needed. The only issue is the stores being so far away which has nothing to do with the home.
Great stay
Arriving to this property it was just breath taking. Absolutely gorgeous home, property and view of the lake. House was super clean, everything was ready in each room. The open floor plan is perfect for large family gatherings. I can’t say there’s anything at all I would change with this property. One thing I would invest in would be a covering of some sort on the dock for some shade. Didn’t discourage us using the dock but some shade would of been great! Definitely recommend this home for large family vacations! Absolutely gorgeous!!
First I’d like give a shout out to Greg Bane your property manager, his professionalism and communication are impeccable! And I am all about customer service . The house is spectacular and with all the amenities that were included was awesome! We had a party of 15 adults and there was plenty a room for everybody, I personally never left the property for the entire week. Such a relaxing and well needed family vacation,. Highly recommended! My only suggestions would be stairs from the upper deck to the back yard , and a covered area on the dock ! Will definitely recommend to family and friends ! Thanks you
We were very impressed with the peacefulness of the property on the lake. We loved the house, it was big and beautiful and just like we expected from the pictures posted.
Our group consisted of 5 families, 10 adults and 8 children ranging from 1- 12. Everyone had a great time and we made so many memories together.
We are hoping to return again next year to the exact same house.
We were very happy with our stay at Shore to Please! The house has more than enough room for several families and was fully stocked with everything that you could possibly need. The location on the lake was perfect - further down but not too far from where we liked to take our boats and anchor up. It seemed very quiet down on our end where the house sits which was nice. Overall, we were thrilled with our stay and have already booked again for next year!
The house was absolutely perfect for our large extended family visit. SO comfortable, immaculate and well-appointed. The lake was lovely and we had an amazing trip. The folding tables allowed us to all dine together. The kitchen was huge and perfect spot to hang out when not in the lake. Kitchen also has large walk in pantry that was wonderful to stash all of our food for easy access and visibility - so much nicer than trying to find space in cabinets or leaving out on counters, Followed the suggestion of previous review and brought 2 very large pots from home. Plenty of pots and pans in kitchen but having oversized worked well for us. Greg the property manager was WONDERFUL. Very responsive to every text or call. Had a glitch with the grill and he came over as soon as possible to repair. Overall a great experience!
Shore to Please was everything it promised to be. The house is clean and well stocked. Everything was in order. The lake is just beautiful, calm and clean. The view is spectacular. The house gets the morning sun shining on the lake. We spent most of our time at the lake on the paddle boards and kayaks. There is a little sanded area by the lake which our grandchildren loved. Lake Anna State Park is 15 minutes away, and has a beautiful beach and hiking trails. We vacation together each summer, and all agreed this was the best place we had ever stayed at. As a suggestion, if you have small children with you, bring their own life vest. Although there are a few life vests available, , there were not any for young children.

Lake vacation
the house was beautiful, and the amenities were great, my family really enjoyed all the activities on the lake
Shore to Please is a fantastic house and area. The house is spacious. Our family of 18 to 20 some ppl always get together every Memorial wknd and we try to look for different area and places. So far this has been our favorite spot and house. From booking to answering questions to check-in process to checkout it was smooth. The owner sent a detailed email prior to our arrival, the house care taker was available for any concerns we had during our stay.
The details about the house are accurate online. There is so much room. Few things that could have made it even better, the house needs just a few more kitchen items for the size of the group. We drove so we tend to bring at least one big pot and pan just in case but if we didn't we would've needed one. Not a big deal to cook in different pots but for the number of ppl the house accommodates it could use more. There were enough plates and bowels and cups and glasses but could use few plastic ones. The glassware was good for adults but for kids the plates and bowls were too bulky. Again in no way this should deter anyone from coming to this beautiful property. The view the location and the comfort was great.
Thank you again for letting us stay at your home.
We had the opportunity to visit Shore to Please for a short adult get-away. We had a total of 5 couples, The house was perfect for needs with 5 king beds. Beautifully situated on the lake, the sunsets were awesome.
Extremely beautiful and accommodating room. Tons of things to do in the house itself and also a beautiful location with a nice lake view. Really enjoyed kayaking around early in the morning. Made some great memories here and highly recommend this property.
Great house, amenities, and location. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We hit the jackpot with the weather so the fire pit, kayaks, and paddle boards were where we spent most of the time.
It's in the woods and we expect there to be an element of nature but the outside needed a more recent power wash and the outdoor chairs were the kind that created a perfect environment for spiders to hide. We were told that regular pest maintenance takes place but we had spiders outside, inside, and had to do our own cleaning upon arrival. These elements deterred us from utilizing the deck space as much as we would have.
Listing says it sleeps 19 and while that could work, the seating and dining areas wouldn't fully accommodate our group of 12 and we had to split up for group dinners.
Overall, it's a great place to stay and a nice weekend getaway. It's comfortable, location is good, and the water is quiet (no wake zone). The few elements we mentioned could improve the experience but they didn't deter us from having a good time.
We had an excellent time at shore to please. House open floor plan was ideal for family gathering We rented pontoon boat from dukes creek marina and it was a great addition Typical August weather gave us some rainy afternoons/nighttime but lake temperature was perfect way to cool off and relax. Backyard was steep so not easy to use and as typical of this time of year lots of spiders and bugs. Basement had plenty of available activities to keep folks busy
Great space for large family gatherings. This is the best stocked kitchen we have seen in a rental. Plenty of plates, silverware and glasses for our group of 18. The kayaks and paddleboards were a big hit with all the kids as was the basement entertaining space.
We loved our stay in this beautiful home, which had more than enough room for our family. Our kids found the bunk room to be a fun hideaway (though we did not allow them to sleep there because it has a separate staircase and they are young - it would be perfect for slightly older kids). The lake views are gorgeous and we loved making s'mores by the fire pit. After the kids swept, we enjoyed playing cards and trivia in the basement. Our only complaint was that the TV system did not work - we intended to watch a basketball game and had a lot of login issues. Other than that, everything was wonderful!
