Hi Amy, Thanks for the positive review and feedback. Its unfortunate that our housekeepers left the towels in the dryer. Had we been notified during your stay we would have immediately remedied the concern to ensure you didn't have to incur inconvenience or cost. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hopefully you can visit us again.

We have had amazing guests for the past 4 plus years and in general people respect this home and take great care during their stay. Unfortunately, this guest will not be welcome to stay at the home again, so I am not surprised there is some retaliation on their part. I was never made aware that the guest had any issues gaining access to the property, but it might be because they attempted to arrive before the check in time, which is why the property wasn’t ready. The cleaners were not called to come back, there were doing laundry off site when the guests arrived. Regardless, the reason we contacted the guest upon departure was to discuss the damage and the fact they has more than 10 guests at the property, while only indicating there were 4. The blinds were broken in the guest room, the landscaping rocks were pushed down the hill, both of which I determined were kids being kids and told the guest it wasn’t a big deal. What was more concerning is the fact the bedding sheets had urine and feces, the back yard had been dug up with holes, and the dirt was put in the pool along with grass, landscaping rocks, toys, and debris. the guest apologized and indicated this was the kids. Again, I said its not a big deal and the grass will grow and the bedding can be washed (albeit we decided to replace them at our expense). The area of the most concern was the pool. I started to share that the pool service company had been turned away 2x and shared with me that there were between 10-12 people in the pool upon arrival. I shared that it doesn't excuse putting dirt and debris in the pool, for which she apologized and stated her son is special needs. The guests simply said she was sorry and would speak to her husband about how to compensate us for damage to the property and the pool cleaning. She ghosted me, which resulted in her damage deposit being forfeited per the VRBO policy. I never heard a word about any chair incident when I spoke to the guest the day of check out, but I can agree that we too wish they would have stayed at the Wyndham as we spent more $$ on pool services, cleaning, and repairs that the guest actually paid us. It is unfortunate, but like I said in the beginning, we have had amazing guests with wonderful families that enjoy and respect the property, so we look forward to continuing to share our home with those folks and consider this an isolated unfortunate incident

So many false accusations and claims its not worth addressing. The one truth is she was charged a damage deposit and VRBO processed this based on the facts and evidence provided. Damage and theft occurred, which forced me to file the claim. Its unfortunate there are people like this. We use this as our personal vacation home and have opened it up for others to enjoy.
