Very clean property with a well-appointed kitchen and other necessary provisions. Multiple grill options are also provided as well as an outdoor fire ring with more than ample wood. The bay view is very pretty at high tide with plenty of sealife to see if you take time to look.
This was absolutely wonderful! We had everything we needed, our cabin was spotless, well appointed, lots of room for cooking, eating, relaxing, playing games, as well as chairs for outside, amazing views of the bay, solitude without feeling totally isolated. We had instant hot water- and enough so we could all shower and not run out. It was so quiet - heard a porcupine scrambling through the underbrush one night, lots of bird calls, the rush of the changing tides. So much to see and explore on the shore-even saw a jellyfish swimming around one morning. So close to beaches, lighthouses, boat rides, hiking and fresh lobster. Is there such a thing as a perfect vacation? Yes!! And it's here, at Apple Cove. Thank you SO much!!
Perhaps a little to isolated for us. The junk yard across the road was a little off putting.
All in all we still enjoyed our stay, the home was comfortable and certainly well stocked. Have a great view of the cove.
This is one of the best rentals we've ever stayed in. The location is perfect: secluded but with a beautiful view and bay access but close enough to dining options and scenic drives.
The beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. When we arrived, everything looked clean and orderly, and it smelled clean, too.
The owners were very responsive and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
The
We had a wonderful, relaxed experience in a beautiful location. The kitchen was generously supplied with cooking essentials and basic equipment. The beds were very comfortable, and the home layout and furnishings were tasteful and well maintained. Lubec is rich in history and provides easy access to coastal attractions, outstanding food, and remarkable parks and forests. We would recommend this location to anyone looking a quite get away and chance to reconnect with old friends.
Beautiful open kitchen/dining/ living
area with large A-Frame ceiling and windows looking out on pines and water below. Outside of town, so it’s very quiet. Everytging we needed for cooking. Happy to find this rental at such a late date.
This is a beautiful newer home right on Johnson's bay. We arrived with hurricane Lee and owners Linda and Mike were very flexible with checkin. They also gave us a rebate for that Saturday due to power being out on all of N. Lubec road. Very generous considering we did not ask for one. We highly recommend this house if you're looking for a quiet, well equipped home to explore the bold coast.
Beautiful home on a quiet cove near hiking trails. This home is equipped with everything needed for your stay. Sparkling clean. This is our second time at this home and we hope to return again.
Location, facility and amenities were all excellent. Out a ways with a nice view and very quiet. Timely communication with Linda/Mike. Highly recommend.
Apple Tree Cove Seaside House was a perfect getaway location to relax and explore the local surroundings. We brought our bikes and kayaks, so we were able to see most of the local attractions and hikes. The house allowed for a great balance of staying active while also relaxing. We were able to enjoy lazy mornings with coffee on the platform overlooking the water and come back after exploring to relax and make dinner and have a fire. The home is very comfortable with all the amenities we needed and Lubec is a quaint town with good food and drink options.

About the host
Hosted by Linda Sanchini and Mike Cyr
Born in Lubec but grew up in Connecticut, Mike has always spent summers here. It's the place that centers our spirit and allows us to do the activities we love most, hiking, cycling and kayaking.
Why they chose this property
One of the owners, Mike, was born here and after his immediate family moved away, summers were spent here. It has been his dream to have a place of his own to enjoy and spend quality time with family that remained in Lubec.
What makes this property unique
Lubec, Maine is a lovely old fishing village that feels stepped back in time. In a setting of pristine beauty, on a hill at the end of a peninsula jutting into the Bay of Fundy and abutting Campobello Island, it has remained isolated from the frantic quality of modern life. We love the views from the house and deck. Being able to be part of sunrise from the easternmost shores of the USA brings us tranquility and joy. And that's what it can bring to you if you want to be part of a slow pace, quiet, friendly place.
