Great holidays in the Basque Country
We are loyal to the BaskoParadis and came already a couple of times to spend our holidays in the Basque Country, with the charming host family in Louhossoa, about 25 km away from Biarritz. And this for various reasons: The apartments are nicely decorated, comfortable and always impeccably clean. We at once felt „at home“. But, the nicest housing would be nothing without the special hospitality of the family, their animals - donkeys included. The Basque Region has so much to offer, especially for families with kids: The landscape is a blast, anytime we come back, we are amazed by these unduling hills, the place to be for all those who love hiking. The seaside is the one of the world wide hotspots for surfers. It takes just one hour to get to the amazing city of San Sebastian on the spanish side of the Basque Country. To put a long story short: What ever you're looking for during your holidays: Culture, Sport, good Food, nice setting, you all get it here! Just go and see! We'll be back anyway!

Herrliche Ferien im BaskoParadis
Wir haben das französische Baskenland und baskoparadis im Herbst 2018 entdeckt. Wir lieben Bergsport (wandern, raften, Mountainbiken), Golfen und Wassersport (Surfen und Bodyboard) und konnten entweder direkt von unserer Wohnung Baigura aus loslegen oder in der näheren Umgebung. Unsere überaus hilfsbereiten und freundlichen Gastgeber Natascha und Bodo haben uns bestens mit Tips versorgt. Die Dörfer sind wunderschön, das Essen ein Gedicht. Die Atmosphäre im baskoParadies ist total friedlich und der Rundumblick ist einfach phantastisch. Wir haben uns in die beiden Esel Olive und Schumi verliebt! Die Ferienwohnung ist super sauber und tiptop ausgestattet. Uns als Allergikern war vor allem der ökologische Ansatz wichtig und wir fühlten uns in der gesunden Umgebung sehr wohl. Das gute Bett tat sein Übriges dazu, so dass wir alle gut erholt aber auch wehmütig wieder nach Hause fuhren. Wir kommen wieder, es war total toll bei Euch!

A mes basques...
Lieu calme, caractère rural et paysage Basque très vert, ouvert sur les collines, moutons, anes des propriétaires et chiens du voisinage garantis... La terrasse offre ce spectacle... Au village, pain et un resto avec ambiance et produits du cru. En auto proche de tout, etre prudent au sortir vers la Nationale rapide.. Plusieurs accès au hameau.... Sympa avec des jeunes enfants aussi, jplobet et dedet posset

Vous avez pu profiter de notre emplacement privilégié pour découvrir la culture basque des terres et de la mer. Vous étiez enchantés d'explorer des lieux emblématiques tels qu'Espelette, Biarritz, Bayonne et à ne pas oublier San Sebastian.
Si jamais le lecteur pense que nous habitons près de la Nationale ou Départementale, nous en sommes à un 1km en hauteur ensoleillée du village rural Louhossoa totalement au calme. Ce sont les "bruits" de nos ânes et des brebis du voisin qui nous bercent.

Beautiful stay in the mountains
What a great stay! We had a wonderful time with our 5 year old twins in the Basque Country. The hosts Natascha and Bodo are very welcoming and know the area very well. They made great suggestions for various day trips. There really is something for everyone, whether you want to explore the mountains or the beach, local culture & food, nearby towns like Biarritz, Bayonne, Espelette or (our favourite) San Sebastian... Couldn't recommend it more.
