This is a 4 season recreational area with many activities: hiking, kayaking, ATVing, skiing/snowboarding, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. This unit features living/dining rm, 1 LED smart TV, high speed WIFI, fully equipped kitchen, full bath for 4 guests. ATV & Snowmobile from our door. Ideal for travelling nurses/doctors who want to stay long term.

This was a perfect spot for us to lay our heads at night and occasionally rest and relax on our little trip to Berlin and the mountains. It’s perfect for two and is nicely decorated and kept! Reasonable price and we were not disappointed!

Clean place, responsive host.

The apartment was spotless and comfortable. Communication with the host was good; the only issue was that the keypad lock kept locking me out. However, the host was very responsive and able to let me in when needed. I was pleased with the stay; everything was as described.

This “apartment “ worked very well for our needs. Only downside was the lawn had not been mowed in quite some time so sitting outside and doing a fire was less enjoyable. It was mowed while we were out one day and that was much nicer. Definitely worked for us as we were there to ATV and hike

Small but nice

Property is centrally located, and nicely appointed with expected amenities nice but basic level comfort furniture. Property is great for two people but 4 adults would be extremely tight, 2/2 would also be tight even if kids were small. Does have a strong washer and dryer which was very appreciated.

We appreciate Jason's comments. Typically the apartment is primarily booked for no more than 2 guests. However having the sleep sofa available helps in cases when guests come with children and are looking to save some costs. We also have hosted long term guests in this unit. It really comes down to what the guest needs are.

Great place but not for noise sensitive person

The hosts have done excellent job keeping the property clean, organized and well prepared for all the essential supplies. It is a very spacious apartment located in beautiful Berlin town. Close to the Mt Jasper trail, which is worth the hiking to overlook the city. I would highly recommend staying here. The only down side, unfortunately is my top priority is the sound proof. The house is made up of several units, and somehow it is not as sound proof. If you stay on bottom floor, you basically could feel or hear any heavy jumping and food steps upstairs, also the sounds of water from toilet flushing and shower. I would recommend the hosts to make a house rule for reduced night time activities to minimize the impact.

Not clean to regular or COVID standards

I did not have a good experience at this VRBO. The owner does not live in town, and has someone else managing the property for him. I spoke with him at check-in and his co-host about how the apartment wasn't clean. I actually got him on the phone and the co-host only texted me. The co-host asked to come by 10AM the following day, but when I asked for her to come earlier -- I got no response. I had reservations for the COG railroad at 11AM, and couldn't wait that late for her -- so, I slept the first night in an uncleaned apartment. After feeling uneasy on the situation and her lack of communication, I texted the co-host again that following morning and asked if she could come earlier so I could be at the apartment while she was there. I got a response saying, "she'd try". Well I needed to get going for my reservations, so I texted her again saying I was leaving. I asked her if she could come by later in the day ~ 5:30PM as I was going hiking. She agreed. While hiking I had no signal, and when I finally got to a place where I had it -- I had a text from the co-host wondering if we were still on for the same time. I told her how far away I was and my estimated arrival time back the apartment, as it was later than I had planned. All I got was a response saying I already dropped off supplies. No, I'll be by later or anything. So, I came home and texted the co-host again -- no response, and was left to clean the apartment myself. After reaching back out to the landlord, I was told it was my fault for not communicating with him and showing up at the apartment at the time the co-host was there. Sad part was -- the co-host never told me she was there. I would not recommend renting this property. I stayed two nights in a completely unclean apartment. The tub had pink mold on it and grime along the sides. The sheets had hair on them in the bed. The couch was covered with some dog hair, even though the property doesn't allow pets. Lastly, there was no paper products including paper towels, sponges, toilet paper, or enough soap for cleaning.

Base camp

Apartment is very clean! It had everything we needed. Nice size for a couple. Dining options were somewhat limited in Berlin but Gorham (5 miles away) had plenty. Things may change as we come out of Covid. Not the nicest of neighborhoods but it served us well as a "base camp" for hiking, biking, canoeing in the area. Appalachia trailhead is only 15 minutes away! We were there in August, but plenty to do in the winter as well!
