Berlin, NH is a hidden gem near Gorham. We enjoyed our stay. The house is updated with still a feel of the history of the home. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked. Thank you for everything. We would stay there again.
House was very comfortable for our family. We were very pleased with the house and it was exactly how it was described. Communication was excellent too.

The house was clean and had everything we needed in working order
Overall, great place to call home for the week. Well stocked house. Interior is nice and clean. Good location for getting everywhere we needed quickly. Good communication with the owner. The exterior needs some work. The description listed 2 full bathrooms but there was 1 full bathroom and one 1/2 bathroom. Main tv couldn’t be used because it couldn’t be plugged in but we only wanted to use it once so not a big deal. Would stay here again if available.
House was well maintained, clean and inviting. Our only issue was that we had trouble accessing the TV channels. But, overall it was very comfortable. As I’m from Berlin, the location was perfect for family and friends. Thanks!!
This house was a very comfortable and convenient base for our small group of hikers as we explored the White Mountains and general area. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the entire house was nicely furnished, while retaining the charm of an older house (including stained glass windows, glass doorknobs, wall sconce lights). The host responded promptly to our questions, and also took the initiative to bring us extra air conditioners during very hot weather (much appreciated). We would be happy to stay here again and recommend it to others.

The location of this home was great for us. It was an easy trip to mountain activities, trails, waterfalls, autumn color, and Mt. Washington. The home was overall comfortable and generally well supplied. There are a couple of concerns that we had and things that should be addressed. First of all, the listing states that one of the bedrooms has a king bed. There is no king bed in any of the bedrooms. Two bedrooms have queen beds and then there is another room with bunk beds. One of the bedrooms has a side room with a single bed, but again no king bed anywhere in the house. The listing should be updated to reflect that. One of our travelers has some mobility issues and the outside steps and sidewalk leading up to the house are quite treacherous. There is crumbling sidewalks, and metal strips that need attention. The only bathroom with a shower had plumbing issues and the tub would not drain properly. The tub also really needed a good cleaning and there was lots of hair in the drain. Overall the house was charming and generally comfortable. I think if these issues were addressed it could be a five star home.
The home is well equipped with the things you will need for your stay. Dishes, towels, extra blankets etc. The carpet was slightly damp when we entered which was most likely from being cleaned but I would recommend the cleaning company to use industrial fans to prevent that or to remove the carpet entirely because it was kind of gross. There are several runner carpets through out that get shifted often, and should be removed because they are tripping hazards and kept getting bunched up. Besides the carpet, there were some things the cleaners could improve on, the floors needed to be mopped especially in the bathrooms and the shower had lots of hair. There was also a major ant problem. This could have been prevented better by making sure previous tenants cleaned out the cabinets. We found old sugar, pasta and other food items in the cabinets. We did find the decor to be charming and pleasant though. The beds were comfortable, but no top sheets only a light blanket and bottom sheet. There is air conditioners in every bedroom except the one with a bunk bed. There are fans. Communication with the host was good. I do recommend investing in a property manager with a copy of the key who can come to the home within notice to the guest if needed by the guest. They expected us to let someone in, which was not communicated and we were out having plans scheduled. Close within 30-40 minute drives to lots of things to do like Santas Village and Storyland.
