OCEANVIEW Salvo – Ocean Spray Rd. - Your family will be happy as a FAT GULL at this fun and amenity-filled Hatteras Island beach house. Beach access is just at the end of this quiet street in south Salvo, and there is nothing finer than relaxing on one of the decks amidst the sea breeze and salt air. The bubbly hot tub is perched on the first level deck with easy-lift cover. Enjoy a game of pool in the multi-purpose game room which also offers a comfortable area for viewing the TV with DVD and Wii console. An apartment size refrigerator is available in this room for convenient access to drinks. The great room on the top level of the home is bright and decorated with an island flair. A game table for board games, and a TV and Blu-ray provide entertainment while meals are prepared in the kitchen with upscale appliances and plenty of space for prep. The dining table seats 8 and the breakfast bar seats another 4 so that everyone can dine together. When it's time to retire after a full meal, your FAT GULLS can choose from 4 bedrooms on the mid-level of the home. There are two master bedrooms (king, queen) each with private baths and TVs with Roku. The other two bedrooms (queen, pyramid bunk and single) share a hall bath. When it's time to plan your next Hatteras vacation, look no further than THE FAT GULL. (Fireplace seen in pictures is not available for guest use.)

Beautiful home with a few setbacks

Beautiful home, well equipped kitchen and open spaces so no one feels cramped. Ocean & sound view(sorta) are there but with limited sight lines. Lots of steps. If you have someone with mobility concerns it may not be the location for you. Check in was later than 4, but we just stayed on the beach until we got our text. We arrived to dirty linens left on the front porch in a bag (still there when we checked out) and queen sheets for the king bed. We called but the next morning we found a storage bin outside near the hot tub with the sheets we needed. Managed with 2 twin tops for the night. Hot tub. Some jets work, others do not Cleanliness of the home was wonderful. You could smell the bleach as you arrived in the front door. The only true downsides. #1 Cockroaches. Saw 1 day 1, by day 4 we knew they were present. Went to bed with one having climbed into my shorts 😣 #2 The walk/dunes. The dunes are difficult to cross on the hottest days. We opted to walk down a bit to a boardwalk. If you're carrying a lot of gear, you need a hand or 5! The beach is gorgeous and clean however. Overall just on the roaches and walk we'll most likely be looking for a different location. For the price, in season it's a decent house for the $

Our overall vacation was okay. We had issues with the house on day one. The breaker flipped. Front door would not lock. Long black hairs on the mattress covers. We could not use ice machine, but was informed that there were ice trays, that were not there. Our skillet to cook out of, handle was off and laying in the skillet. Our grill outside was needless to say pitiful. Last but not least, we had no tv in the family room. No matter what channel or device it stated we needed a 5 digit code ???? We called emailed ect with no response. That was very aggravating especially with my 5 yo granddaughter and my mother! 2 weeks after vacation and still have no communication from surforsound ?

The house was beautiful and well equipped. We loved the house and location. Great customer services... Dryer wasn’t working properly, we called and someone was sent out and dryer was fixed almost immediately.

We really enjoyed our stay. The 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms really gave us the space we needed. The hot tub was nice for days when the wind was too much on the beach.

Beach vacation

The place was very nice loved the pool table was very much used by all close to beach only complaint I have is the maintenance service the call I made Tuesday for hot tub screen door an a/c problem was never fixed not sure why but we still enjoyed that was the only thing I didn't like so thank you for everything an will look u guys up for future vacation rentals Thank You Michael Scott Miller
