My new favorite place!

Perfect place to stay! Not only is Edna an absolutely amazing host but the property checks all the boxes. Located within walking distance to the best restaurants and shops in Topsail, the property is lovingly maintained and offers the most stunning views. Already scanning the calendar to book another trip!

Fantastic location and accommodations

We really enjoyed our stay at SoundSide Haven! A lovely house in a great location. Our family enjoyed fishing off the pier and sitting on the deck enjoying the views of the sound! The house was very clean, had everything as advertised, and Edna was very helpful. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay for the second year. The property allows for beach access via a very quick walk as well as the ability to fish and swim off the back yard. Easy walk to the park and town for food, putt-putt, shopping, and ice cream.

Spring Break ‘25

Had a wonderful week of weather and awesome sunsets. My wife and I continued to work each day and leave the island but enjoyed each evening and some fun on the beach late Thursday.

New years on the sound

This was our first time staying in the sound side , it really peaceful this house is just a short walk to a public beach access and super close to Jolly Roger pier. OHH and Don said this place has the best view of the sun set and he wasn’t kidding !

Beautiful location!

We had a spectacular week at Soundside Haven! It really is the perfect spot…right on the water, beautiful sunsets, short walk to town, great dock for fishing, boating, etc…The cottage is cute and comfortable and has everything you need. Our teens loved walking to the bookstore, the arcade and the roller rink, while we enjoyed peaceful evenings on the deck. Edna was wonderful and goes above and beyond with help and communication! We would love to come back someday!

We had a wonderful stay at this beach house! It sits right on the Intracoastal Waterway, and the water has a fantastic, clean sandy bottom that makes it perfect for swimming right out back. Plus, when we wanted to hit the ocean, it was just a short, easy walk to the beach. You truly get the best of both worlds here. Highly recommended!

Our family stayed here for a week in August. The location was great, house was well set up and stocked. Walking distance to town, the beach and the dock out the back was perfect. Great communication. We'll definitely stay here again!

Just wonderful!

This is a very cozy, lovingly kept house that became our home for two rejuvenating, fun, beauty-filled weeks. It has a charming ‘beach-retro” feel and was just perfect for us: right on the sound with it’s stunning sunsets, long pier, and easy access for our kayaks — and yet only a short 2 block walk to a beautiful, uncrowded beach. The property owner/manager is highly responsive and charming. There are small locally-owned businesses nearby (e.g., fresh seafood market & food truck, a deli, a coffee/wine bar with live music nearly every night, 2 restaurants, an honestly some of the best ice cream we’ve had anywhere! — all within walking distance of the house), Plus, it’s an easy 10 - 15 minute drive up the beach to various other restaurants and stores. Thank you Edna for a lovely time. We’ll be back!

Beautiful

The house is beautifully set on the sound with a sandy beach and pier perfect for swimming and fishing. My teens were able to walk to play putt putt and to the arcade and also to get ice cream safely. Perfect vacation property!!

Just what we needed!

This cozy cottage within walking distance to town was the perfect place for us to get away for a few days to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets, fishing off the dock, and nice dinners on the deck. It’s been so nicely updated and has everything one needs to make a very comfortable vacation. Edna is so easy to work with and communication was always easy. All around a perfect stay!!!

Comfortable and peaceful

The home is very comfortable - open kitchen/dining/living with great views. The bedrooms and bathrooms are good sized. The porch and the dock make enjoying the sound easy! And it's a very short walk to the beach. Plus you can walk to shops/restaurants and the pier. I plan to come back!

A perfect fall getaway

We loved this cozy cottage on the sound. The beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, and the location was ideal—two blocks from beach access, and a short walk to Quarter Moon Books and wine bar. We spent much time on the porch, with beautiful views of the sound. The owner responded immediately to questions—highly recommend!
