I was looking for a place near Cambridge for the Ironman race in Maryland. The property is beautiful and has its own beach and pool. The Michelle and Woody, the hosts, were very welcoming and went out of their way to make our experience a wonderful one. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying the great scenery.
We had a lovely stay at Michelle and Woody’s B & B. The view is stunning and we enjoyed sitting by the water, reading and watching the birds and wildlife.
The accommodations are newly renovated and beautifully decorated. Woody made us a delicious gourmet breakfast each day, which we enjoyed while gazing at the beautiful view.
We will definitely return here for a future stay!!
My wife and I visited for 2 nights to support our son in a local Iron Man competition. We were very pleasantly surprised by the property when we arrived. The view across the lawn and water is stunning, the host and hostess were both extremely nice, they showed us around the property, suggested local restaurants and invited us to a bonfire the first evening. The bonfire was a lot of fun and a good way to unwind. Breakfast was also above expectations.
We will definitely stay here again, there are many biking trails in the area and the host and hostess are more than willing to suggest trails.
It seems unusual for an Eastern Shore house to be on such a high elevation above the water. Beautiful lawn rolling diwn ti the Choptank..Very thoughtful hosts. Thank youi
I had a great weekend at the Anchorage. The host and hostess were exceptional and helpful. The grounds were much better than I expected - wonderful water views. I plan to try to come back with my husband next Spring/Summer!
Breakfast was amazing and the property was stunning
My husband and I were there to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. We could not have picked a better place to stay. Woody and Michelle were perfect hosts - super friendly, funny, and incredible chefs! Breakfast was fantastic, we felt like royalty sitting outside eating a multi-course breakfast while overlooking the beautiful view of the water. Bed was comfy, everything was super clean, just perfect all around. Wish I could give 6 stars!

The owners welcomed us upon arrival, told us about the property/area. Answered any questions we had. Beautiful house and location. Most importantly, the beds were comfortable, sheets soft and breakfast was delicious! Staying here made a great weekend even better!
The property was beautiful. Loved the views and small beach. Woody was an excellent welcoming host. We truly enjoyed speaking with him and learning about the activities and attractions nearby. He also makes wonderful breakfasts...and this is coming from someone who usually skips it. My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future.
A wonderful, serene place tucked away along the eastern shore! The Anchorage is well appointed with beautiful upgrades to compliment the historic structure. Woody and Michelle are lovely hosts who make your stay enjoyable and relaxing, with plenty of recommendations on things to do in the area. It’s a close drive to places like St. Michael’s and Oxford, but you might prefer to stay on the grounds because of how nice they are!
I really enjoyed my stay at this B&B! Great proprietors and guests! I would definitely return to this oasis on the Maryland Easter Shore! J Urban

My husband Woody and I recently moved to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. We both love to travel, cook, are avid cyclists and enjoy nature and the outdoors. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our home and sharing what the Eastern Shore has to offer!
Why they chose this property
The property is very private and quiet with fantastic water views and a sandy beach. We are also close to several small towns, all with some great restaurants and things to do. Great for kayaking or cycling!
