Breath Taking Cliffside Villa in Punta Ixtapa, Mexico's Top Private Resort
Set on a spectacular site on Mexico’s Pacific coastline and overlooking Isla Grande, this cliffside villa, which graced the cover of Architectural Digest on August 2000 (see pictures), blends itself to the natural landscape and has dramatic 360 degree views of the ocean, the island, Ixtapa Bay and the surrounding mountains.
Taking advantage of the excellent year-round temperature, this exquisite house was conceived for outdoor living and entertaining. A huge palapa encompasses the living room, bar, dining room and professionally equipped kitchen. Lush vegetation separates the common areas from the 5 bedrooms which are laid out as distinct structures, each with a full bathroom. Two of them have a king size bed and the other three have two queen size beds each. There is also a full guest bathroom.
The master bedroom has direct access to the overflowing pool which creates the illusion that the water plummets into the ocean. You can also enjoy magnificent sunset views from the rooftop terrace!
Set behind the public spaces are the service areas which include two service quarters, laundry room and garage. A full time staff of three caters to every guest's need, including both local and international cooking for breakfast, lunch and dinner, daily housekeeping and butler service throughout the day. Airport pick-up and drop-off can be arranged.
This house is located on a private and highly exclusive beach complex called Punta Ixtapa with controlled access and 24 hour surveillance. It has five beautiful private beaches and two beach clubhouses with full service restaurants and bars for resort guests. Resort amenities also include tennis and paddle tennis courts, full size gym, running circuit and beach club swimming pools.
A 50 feet motorboat is available for daily charter upon request.

It's difficult to convey the awe I felt when we arrived at the Casa. We walked through lush, established landscape to an incredible view from the main outdoor living area...the coast spread before us like a banquet for the eyes. The house itself has a lovingly artistic feel to it, and one instantly knows it is entirely unique - nothing like it exists anywhere else. Furnished with beautiful art and artifacts, every angle pleases the eye. We loved it so much, along with the sweet, attentive staff, we didn't want to leave the property at all. Everything we wanted was there! It was only toward the end of our visit that we discovered all the amazing beaches in the surrounding area. I don't know if we'll ever be able to go back and visit again - but it is a grand experience, if you are lucky enough to go, and worth every penny.
