LA GROSSILLE: a traditional CĂ©vennes farmhouse.

La Grossille / Graussille owes its name to Occitan "GRAU" meaning "estuary" or "channel" also used to designate a mountain pass.

The cottage of 126 m2, completely independent, located in a wing of this old building of the XVII century has kept the discreet charm of living memories.

Its covered terrace opens south on a vast landscape of chestnut trees, oaks and on the ancient village of Sainte Croix de Caderle.

The secure swimming pool of 8X4 is reserved for the holiday makers of the lodging during their stay.

The garden offers relaxing moments for listening and discovering a calm and serene environment.

Access to the GR 61 is close to the house, it connects Saint Jean du Gard to Mount Aigoual.
Other hiking trails, PR, take you in 1 hour to Mount Brion, the Mercou Pass or Sainte Croix de Caderle by the royal road.

La Grossille is close to the Cevennes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and labeled "International Starry Sky Reserve".

From the mountains to the sea the heritage is rich and just waiting to be discovered: the Maison Rouge Museum, the small train of the Cevennes, the bamboo garden of Prafrance, the Pont du Gard, the arena of NĂźmes, the duchy of UzĂšs and good for other curiosities, to illustrate a travel diary.

Beautifully located in stunning south of France. Crickets singing you to sleep at night. Wonderfully warm welcome from Patricia and the house and pool are just lovely. Would love to visit again.

TrÚs belle bùtisse, idéalement située au coeur d'un pays magnifique qui invite à la découverte. L'hébergement est totalement indépendant, Patricia sait à la fois etre accueillante, serviable et discrÚte. Malgré une période caniculaire (+40°), avec une belle piscine à disposition, nous avons passé un excellent séjour

Le cadre, et notamment la vue, vous enchantera dÚs votre arrivée. Vous serez accueilli avec douceur et bienveillance par Patricia, à l'écoute qui saura se rendre disponible si besoin tout en discrétion. Le gite est trÚs confortable et trÚs propre. Enfin, la piscine est un vrai atout, d'autant plus que Patricia s'emploie à ce qu'elle soit toujours impeccable. Un trÚs bon séjour.

Nous avons passĂ© 15 jours de tranquillitĂ© avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes des CĂ©vennes. Petit bĂ©mol la vĂ©randa aurait besoin d'ĂȘtre Ă©quipĂ©e de stores pour les mois caniculaires !! Les propriĂ©taires qui habitent sur place sont trĂšs discrĂštes et arrangeantes quant aux horaires de frĂ©quentation de la piscine . Je recommande cette location si vous chercher le calme !

Endroit magnifique

Location fidĂšle Ă  la description et aux photos. Logement spacieux avec d'immenses chambres. Vue imprenable sur les CĂ©vennes et dĂ©part de randonnĂ©es Ă  2 pas de la maison. Piscine agrĂ©able mais systĂšme de bĂąche un peu compliquĂ© et horaires d'utilisation un peu stricts (10-18h30). C'est prĂ©cisĂ© dans le descriptif mais c'est dommage. D'oĂč 4 Ă©toiles sur 5 au final.

We spend an incredible three weeks in La Grossille. Quite, with a beautiful view on the Cevennes..

A spacious accommodation, a “Mas” of original rural design, with a swimming pool from where you can overlook the Cevennes mountains.

Nous avons passé des trÚs bonnes vacances. Les propriétaires nous ont trÚs bien accueillis avec un grand sourire. La propriété était propre et spacieuse avec une belle chambre d'enfant avec des jouets. Une belle vue sur les Cévennes était compris.
