Lovely and cozy cottage centrally located on the water side in Friesland

Lovely and cozy holiday home Marretoer is in a prime location in the lake district of Friesland. The house has a jetty with swimming ladder and a large front and backyard with lots of privacy. Without a bridge, you can sail to the beautiful Frisian lakes within fifteen minutes.

NEW: CHARGING POLE FOR ELECTRIC CARS

On the water side of the holiday home there are 2 spacious terraces, 1 of which has an outdoor fireplace/BBQ. The large lawn is partly fenced so that little ones and/or dogs stay in the garden. There is also a cozy terrace screened with vegetation on the street side. This way you can enjoy the sun or the shade all day long.

The facade on the water side consists almost entirely of glass. From the living room you have a beautiful view of the water and the spacious garden.

The ground floor has a living room, an open kitchen and an entrance with toilet. All opening windows have mosquito screens. The sun canopies on the ground floor keep the house cool on hot summer days. The kitchen is fully equipped, including kitchen linen.

On the top floor of the holiday home there is sleeping accommodation for 7 people. The master bedroom has a 2p. king size bed and balcony on the water side. In the other 2 bedrooms, one has a 2p. queen size bed, and in the other a 2p. and 1p. bed. The bathroom has a double sink, a bath/shower and a second toilet. There are towels ready for you in the bathroom cabinet. All bedrooms are insulated, have a fan and all opening windows have mosquito screens.

EXTRA OPTION: During the summer period it is only possible for guests of the holiday home to rent the adjacent holiday studio. This means that a group of 9 people can stay in both accommodations. Two people can retreat quietly to the studio. The studio is located on the ground floor and is walker-friendly.

The holiday studio was completely renovated in 2024 and has a lounge area with TV, a kitchen, air conditioning, a sleeping area with king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. The studio has its own front door and a private terrace and can be rented for a minimum of 3 days. You can ask your parents, family and friends to join you on holiday for a few days or a week.

The holiday home is equipped with free WiFi, TV, Netflix, a lockable shed to store bicycles, 3 spacious free parking spaces and a charging station for an electric car (charging not included). The house has a washing machine, dryer and dishwasher.

Schöner Urlaub in ruhiger Lage

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in dem Haus. Alles war wirklich super und gepflegt. Man merkt, dass die Inhaber in den Wintermonaten dort selber wohnen. Der Garten ist sehr geräumig und das Angeln vorm Haus hat wirklich Spaß gemacht. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Mooi plekje en fijn huis! Helaas was het huis nog niet klaar toen we kwamen en de motor van het bootje deed het niet. Wel hebben we een heel fijn weekend gehad in een gezellig ruim huis!

We hebben een hele leuke week gehad in Uitwellingerga! Het huis is heel centraal gelegen, een goede uitvalsbasis om de Friese meren te gaan verkennen! Een boot, een stijger en de zon, wat wil je nog meer? De kinderen vonden het geweldig om zo vanuit de tuin het water in te kunnen springen! Prima huis op leuke locatie! Groet, Familie Hamer

Op deze A locatie hebben we volop kunnen genieten van de natuur, het sfeervolle huis.

Gezellig ingerichte woning waar we ons meteen thuis voelden. Vanaf de eigen aanlegsteiger aan het water waar de kinderen konden zwemmen maakten we prachtige tochten met de boten door Friesland. We snappen nu waarom deze mooie provincie is uitgeroepen tot nr 3 van Lonely Plannet Europe. Er zijn mooie fietspaden en veel authentieke dorpjes waarvan het dichtbij gelegen Sneek een van de grootste is. Daar hebben we een paar zeer gezellige avonden doorgebracht op de terrassen in de binnenstad en ook heerlijk gewinkeld. Op het terras bij de woning hebben we gebarbecued en genoten van het zwemmen van de kinderen en van de rust. Een echte aanrader om hier je vakantie of lang weekend door te brengen.

Wunderschöne Pfingsttage in Friesland

Wir haben 4 wundervolle Tage in und um Jellys Ferienhaus in Uitwellingerga verbracht. Das Haus ist toll eingerichtet und die Lage ist traumhaft. Mit dem Boot ist man schnell auf dem Sneekermeer und ein Naturschwimmbad ist zu Fuß schnell errreicht. Abgesehen von der sowieso schon tollen Kommunikation mit Jelly, hat Jelly uns auch noch ein Segelboot von einem Vermieter organisiert und direkt an den zum Haus gehörenden Steg legen lassen - ein toller Service! Wir kommen sicher wieder - danke!

Wir (4 Erwachsene, 3 Kinder und ein Hund) hatten ein wunderschönes verlängertes Pfingstwochenende in diesem süßen Haus. Die Betreuung und Kommunikation mit Jelly, der Besitzerin, war sehr nett und hilfreich. Besonders schön war unser Bootstag, wir haben die Schaluppe gemietet und haben den gesamten Tag auf dem Wasser verbracht. Fazit: wir kommen gerne und ganz bestimmt wieder!!!!

Jelly, We hebben de pinksterdagen met 6 personen in je huis mogen verblijven. Het is een heerlijke plek aan het water dicht bij het Sneekermeer. Prima kunnen zeilen, vissen, lezen en ook genieten van de rust. Geweldig!

Entspanntes Familienwochenende

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes und entspanntes Familienwochenende . Vor allem die Polyvalken direkt vor der Haustür waren super und wir haben einen tollen Tag auf dem Sneeker Meer gehabt. Aber auch die beiden Terrassen wurden ausgiebig von uns genutzt.. Jelly hat uns sehr freundlich wilkommen geheissen und hat uns mit guten Tipp für unser Wochenende versorgt. Das einzige was wir im Haus vermisst haben war eine Tee/Kaffeekanne. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Schönes Osterwochenende

Wir waren über das verlängerte Osterwochenende in diesem gemütlichen Ferienhaus, es war alles wie in der Beschreibung angegeben. Es war sauber und schön eingerichtet, im Garten konnten die Erwachsenen grillen und entspannen und die Kinder nach Ihren Ostereiern suchen. Wir haben über die Vermieterin zusätzlich eine Schaluppe gebucht konnten die Landschaft rund ums Haus per Boot erkunden. Jelly ist eine wundervolle Vermieterin wir können das Objekt nur weiter empfehlen und kommen selbst auch wieder!

Bezaubernde Tage in Uitwellingerga

Ina + Stefan: Es stimmte einfach alles bei unserem kurzen Aufenthalt in Uitwellingerga: der freundliche Empfang von Jelly in ihrem schönen Haus, mit dem sich zum Kanal hin erschließenden Garten. Der Pollyvalk lag am hauseigenen Bootssteg und wartete darauf, dass wir losssegeln.Dies konnetn wir an allen Tagen ausgiebig. Das traumhafte Wetter lud am Abend dazu ein, lange auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und den herrlichen Blick zu genießen und die Ruhe zu spüren. Es fehlte uns an nichts. Einfach perfekt!!! Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und wir wollen gerne wiederkommen.

A very nice place for nice holiday

We spent a very nice week in this house. The owner, Jelly, is very sympathic and she warmly welcome us. Her house is very comfortable and clean. The location is very calm and pleasant. I recommand this house for a family with 3 childrens. But take care of water just in front of the garden ! If I had something negative to add, I would say that one thing is missing in the house : a toaster for breakfast ! But It is a detail ! ;-) not very important.

Raised in Friesland and as an avid sailor I am aware of the great locations and events Friesland has got to offer. I often assist guests of the Marretoer cottage in selecting activities during your holiday.

After 30 years in the entertainment business I have changed my course to leasing the cottage and chartering with guest on the 13,5 meter convertible motorboat or offering guests a great sailing experience on my 75 year old wooden 30m2 yacht, which is also being sailed in races.

As a true and hospitable Frisian I enjoy preparing the cottage for my guests to ensure a careless and amazing holiday.

The cottage has a warm and cozy ambiance. The cottage offers all possibilities to relax, play indoor or outdoor games and do sports. Direct acces to water and related sports gives an extra dimension to the cottage, and with possibilities to rent a boat and discover Friesland trough its elaborate network of lakes and canals from your holiday home is a great way to celebrate a holiday.

What makes this property unique

Great assets of the cottage a the large gardens an the proximity to the Frisian lakes, in which the cottage has a central location. The gardens offer privacy and a spring nearby offers a natural pool with a beach, where children can enjoy themselves. Near the cottage are several typical Frisian natural reserves that can be explored.
