Ocean views!

We would definitely stay again. Waking up to the ocean view was incredible. The hammock, outdoor patio areas, and stocked kitchen made it a perfect house for catching up with family, playing games, and cooking great meals. The only disappointment were the bikes, not in riding shape so next time we will probably plan to rent bikes.

Gorgeous Sunrises

This home is a true gem. My husband and I enjoyed such beautiful morning coffees from the front porch every day. This house has it all - beautiful views, great TVs/technology, well-stocked kitchen/bedrooms and well thought out for what a guest would need. We adored our time at Bald Head Island and were grateful for the memories of such a lovely home.

Perfect Island Getaway

Carrie was a gracious hostess, assisting promptly with all of our questions before our arrival and during our stay. We came from Wrightsville Beach on our boat and rented a boat slip, and Carrie made sure her golf cart was at the marina for us to use to get to her beautiful home. (Note that the island tram will not give you a ride unless you come on the ferry) The home has a gorgeous ocean view from the porch, is very light and airy with nice furnishings, a wonderful outdoor shower, plenty of beach towels and chairs and 3 golf carts to use to explore the island. This home was well worth the expense. We even unexpectedly got to witness a sea turtle laying eggs during an evening walk on the beach. We hope to return sometime soon!

Thousand year storm !

First I want to say the house was beautiful, taste fully decorated, beautiful views of the ocean very comfortable. However, the storm came.it was so serious every business closed, it flooded most of the streets. Our golf carts broke down the first day after a couple of days the beautiful home turned into a prison we could not go anywhere. We called the owner who tried to help as best she could to get the golf carts exchanged but everything was as closed. When the storm finally ended, beautiful beaches and finally enjoyed the last few days It goes to prove that no matter how much you Plan and save for that wonderful week God has other plans. M

Best Stay in 13 Years!

We have been coming to BHI for 13 years. every year a new house or even 2 different stays... This is the place.. Location is stellar and they thought of everything in terms of wants/ needs.. You can even leave your shibumi at home!! They've got a surf board, SUP and kayaks.. all needs for beach! Kitchen well stocked.. Smart tvs ready to go with surround! and the View is amazing!

Private Oceanview Beauty

We loved the privacy of this beautiful oceanview beach house. All porches have lush tropical foliage around them providing privacy. The 3 Golf carts came in handy. We could walk the short distance to beach or ride. Bikes too! Loved our stay.

Peaceful vacation home

My spouse and I enjoyed our 3-night stay at this comfortable, gracious home with a perfect location! The house is set on a quiet, wooded way near East Beach, and it has expansive views of the ocean out back. Just a quick walk to the beach. Sunlight pours into the numerous large windows in the second floor living areas throughout the day. We enjoyed excellent views from multiple parts of the home, though the three downstairs bedrooms are surrounded by the woods. The spacious, updated, and beautifully decorated property felt very clean and well prepared for our visit. We also appreciated how well equipped and stocked the home is. Three golf carts meant we never had to worry about transportation. One highlight of our trip was strapping the owner’s 2 kayaks to the cart roofs and paddling Bald Head Island’s marsh creek. The owner communicated promptly by text when we had a couple of questions. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Property is simply amazing. Much better than advertised. It is very well equipped and lives large. The views are amazing and the house is positioned with the sun perfectly..... Sunrise views over the ocean then not very hot in the afternoon/evening. There are 3 golf carts and they are the fastest on the island. Love that. Being on East beach that is a plus. You are away from the crowds but can get to anywhere on the island in a flash (as long as people will let you pass :-). Carrie, the host, is just lovely and very responsive. We had a great time with awesome weather. Can't wait to come back.

The loveliest home in the perfect location!

As a first timer to Bald Head Island we could not be happier with our stay in wind over waves. The house was well equipped with everything we could have possibly needed and more. The upstairs entertaining space was large enough to accommodate multiple groups of family doing different things and the porches topped it all off! We woke up daily to watch the sunrise and were excited to see pods of dolphins swimming by every afternoon. The decor of the house was elegant yet very comfortable. East beach is SO lovely! The house sits a block away from the public access point which makes it a breeze for getting the whole family there. There were multiple mornings and evenings when we had the beach to ourselves. The feel of east beach is very relaxed and friendly. A few tips for newbies to the island. As soon as you book a house make sure and make a reservation to get a tram from the ferry dock to the house. All the trams were full the day we arrived, and although we worked it out, another time we’d definitely plan in advance. The conservancy is a few blocks from this house and they are a great resource for nature lovers, but those tours fill up fast. They even have kids camps! I would recommend signing up for those early too. Lastly, coming to the island we knew we would be cooking a good bit but we’re also planning on eating out. The restaurants on BHI were overly busy and chaotic. We did visit right before they get things going for the summer but it’s something to consider if you’re going in the off season. All in all we had the loveliest time and are looking forward to spending more time in BHI. Thanks for having us!
