I rented one bedroom in this beautiful historic home. I enjoyed all small details of the home and would definitely stay there again if I were ever in the area again. The only downside was the busy road outside, I could hear the traffic at night. But I suppose that could not be helped!
Extremely spacious and homey, convenient location, and outstanding price
My partner and I had a lovely staycation here! If what you are looking for is a homey, historical, secluded retreat, then this is the perfect stay. I can’t imagine a better place to visit! We stayed for 4 days during the week and it was everything we needed. The house is a charming antique stead of distant vintage, and we had it to ourselves (there are a number of bedrooms each with a personal bathroom to use). My partner and I booked the first bedroom as you walk in, which is connected by a lockable door to another bedroom, and provides personal use of a bathroom not directly connected to the room but off the living room. The bed was very comfortable and linens were all fresh. I would love to visit again and perhaps book the entire house for when family is in town and needs a place to stay!
My husband and I were happy with our stay. Even though we had a neighbor with a connecting door, he was very quiet. The bed and bedding was very good and the temperature adjustable. Things that overnighters might want to know: there is a shared bathroom accessed through the living area. Bring washcloths with you if you use them. I needed a cup at the sink and found one in the kitchen that I left at the sink. I also found bar soap in a cupboard since there was only liquid in the shower. We were permitted our dog, which we really appreciated. We brought our crate with us. We will come again.
Accommodating nice renters, a beautiful place to stay. Clean good experience

Excellent Experience
This posting is for a room in a six bedroom house. I don't know what the deal is with the other bedrooms as they were empty when I stayed, but when I asked if I could use one of the other beds I was told that they are also rented out. The house is old with some modern renovations, but it's nice overall. The bed was extremely comfortable. The surrounding area is beautiful, but there's a main road out front with cars traveling about 50 mph or so. Having said that, street noise is pretty minimal inside and the house is on a hill that is far from other houses, so there is privacy. For the price, I have no complaints. In fact, I would love to return.
Although we arrived very late, Josh waited up for us to arrive, had our room heated, and everything we could need preplanned for our 4 day stay. His family’s home is spotless, with privacy and comfortable amenities well planned.
