The view was great, the cabin cozy and bedrooms perfect. Kitchen is well equipped and it’s a convenient location to Old Forge and Inlet. It was pleasantly decorated for Christmas, making it feel like home. Loved it!!

Lovely Cottage in a Beautiful Setting

Our stay at the 1910 cottage exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and had all the luxeries of home. Kris was very responsive and such a wonderful host. The lake access was super convenient and we enjoyed using all the lake toys. It was a stress-free, relaxing experience and we're looking forward to staying again!

One of the best in ADK

One of the best properties and owners ever. Owner has thought of everything down to the fresh flowers and hand written note awaiting us upon our arrival. One of the most peaceful and relaxing weeks we've had in a very long time. Stop searching and book this cottage when you can, I promise you won't regret it.

Wonderful vacation spot!

We really enjoyed our stay here! We have never been to the area before and the cottage was so cute and peaceful. The lake and scenery were so beautiful. We could sit on the back deck and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and look at the beautiful lake. So relaxing! It was close to both Old Forge and Inlet which are really cute towns to shop and eat at. Kris did a wonderful job of making us feel very welcome. We loved it!

Restful Retreat

We had the best time! You can't beat the lake view and smell of the pine trees. The kids loved paddling and evening smores with new friends renting next door. I haven't felt this rested in ages. The house is the perfect mix of newly renovated and super clean, but still with mountain decor. We can't wait to go again!!

Beautiful Guest House and Location

We stayed in the smaller of the two houses on the property. The houses are close to one another yet it still felt private. Each place has a separate fire pit area. It's right on the lake so has a lovely view. Very clean and comfortable. I hope to return with more family members!

Wonderful Cozy Cottage

We had a lovely time visiting Old Forge even though there wasn’t enough snow for snowmobiling. Kris is gem and quickly answered any of our questions. I would highly recommend her properties. Second time

This is our second year in a row coming to this beautiful home and as wonderful as it was for our first visit, the owners have somehow made it nicer. A spectacular view from either on the lake front, on the deck or from within the house makes this home special. But when you add the updated bathroom with a comfortable shower, the kitchen that is well stocked with everything you need to make a meal, comfortable beds, firewood for a campfire, clear instructions on using the television and a cabin that is spotless, you have a location that beckons your family to return. Hoping for a three-peat!

The View

Just focus on the view. Forget that the property was very clean. Forget that the kitchen was well appointed and stocked with everything needed to cook a meal. Just focus on the view. Forget that the owner would immediately reply to any and all inquiries. Just focus on the view. Forget about the attention to small details like providing firewood and fire starter. Forget about having kayaks and life jackets for all sizes. Forget that the owner provided a gift bag upon our arrival. Just focus on the view. Forget about the comfortable bed. And finally did I mention that the view is excellent from the living room, the deck and the waterfront. Can’t wait to get back next year.

Great for snowmobiling in oldfordge

The place had every comfort of home of home. When we got there we had a small issue that was resolved immediately. Easy access with the trucks and trailers also access right to the lake from the property on the snowmobile‘s We had a wonderful time

Comfort, cleanliness, and Amenities Gold Star

What a beautiful spot on fourth Lake! Views are stunning, beds were dreamy to sleep in, and there were so many small things everywhere that show these people put so much time and effort into making sure anything you could want is accessible. From the wood for the woodstove, to fully stocked kitchen cabinets which made it so easy to prepare meals together we were impressed. I have stayed at many different rentals, and I can truly say this was the first that we all agreed deserved five out of five stars! The response time from both owners with suggestions for where to go cross country skiing, and a small glitch with a GFC outlet, were swift and plentiful!!! My friends were happy with the Keurig, and a cabinet that even held spices, olive oil, and all kinds of condiments so there was nothing we felt like we forgot. We had planned to go out to eat but this kitchen was so nice and well stocked that instead we cooked all our meals. Seating areas were very comfortable, and it was so incredibly quiet! Great location, 10 minutes from Old Forge and close to Inlet with lots of options for skiing, hiking, and snow mobility. We would definitely all come back again!

Cozy weekend getaway

We stayed at the cottage in February. It was super clean, cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway. We planned to go snowmobiling and the cottage was in a great location. We were able to access trails right from the property. We even had access to the frozen lake from the boat launch. There was plenty of parking for the truck and trailer. The driveway and walkway were plowed and salted. The cottage is between Old Forge and Inlet so there were plenty of choices for restaurants. Our host thought of everything. The decor was beautiful and the kitchen well stocked with essentials. The beds and linens were clean and comfortable. And you can’t beat the view of the lake, even in winter! We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning!

Beyond Great

1) The cabin was spotless, the decor was tasteful Adirondack based and shopped locally. 2) The hosts Kris and Don were just wonderful and answered any questions we had. They were both friendly, kind and went the extra mile. 3) Location is perfect, Great shoreline, outside place to have a fire or sit and enjoy the spectacular views of the lake. 4) The cabin creates a wonderful space for a spiritual cleansing, and recentered both of us. The woodstove is wonderful. 5) I had an accident hiking and the hosts let me recover and stay after our original checkout date for some time with no extra charge. That's going the extra mile and more. 6) if you want a perfect place in a perfect Adirondack setting, this is it, I highly recommend you book it, you will be very happy you did.

Perfect Quiet Weekend in the ADK

We spent the weekend here with 4 adults and 1 9 year old. The house was beautiful, the owner was friendly and helpful and the views are spectacular. The edge of the lake was perfect to sit with a book and a drink and enjoy the beauty around you. Lots to do in the surrounding area- hiking, shopping and food. We loved our time together and this property was exactly what we needed! We hope to come back again

Beautifully decorated cabin with amazing views and easy access to hiking

We had an unforgettable time at the guest cottage! There were 3 adults and two small children in our party. The cottage was very cute, clean and had everything we needed to feel right at home! The grounds were perfect for the kids and the boat launch area was perfect for our 2.5 year old to splash around in the water. The launch area has nice sand and is only a foot or two deep. We took advantage of the paddle board and kayaks available for those staying in the guest cottage. We also spent some time hiking the Bubb and Sis trail that is just a short drive or even walk from the cabin. The trail was easy for the whole family to hike. This was a great spot for a mini family vacation. The views of the lake were breathtaking! We will be looking to come back next year!

Perfect spot for our honeymoon

I stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon and absolutely loved the property! When we got their, we felt so welcomed with a card and gift basket as I had mentioned it was our honeymoon. The place was very clean and had everything we needed for the week! We loved the views on the lake and had fun kayaking too! We enjoyed the fire outside during the week as well which was so nice to sit at and look out at the lake. This was great for our honeymoon but we’d love to go back with friends or family as well. Outstanding communication and easy check-in too, definitely recommend!

Great location

The house is right on 4th Lake, easy drive to Old Forge, Eagle Bay and Inlet. We were there in February and found really nice cross country skiing very nearby. The house had everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen. We would definitely come back to this house any time of the year.

My family and I have been coming to Old Forge, NY for many years. It wasn't until 2015, when we found Camp 1910 at Windsong Acres. To me, it's one of the most peaceful places on earth because of its mountain vistas and sparkling clean waters. Everytime I'm here, I find peace and harmony in my life. It's always hard to leave. The cottage is so charming and cozy and it's so magical no matter what season you decide to visit.

Why they chose this property

Camp 1910 at Windsong Acres is a magical place. 4th Lake is so close to the Guest cottage and Main house where you can easily go boating, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, snowmobiling and ice fishing.

What makes this property unique

The Cottage is perfectly located and allows for you to access the water easily. You're also within walking distance to the Mountainside Grill and Trail 5. In the evenings, you can hear the loons, see deer walk around the yard, along with turkeys, ducks, and small animals running around the yard. The mountain and lake views are incredible and it never gets old. You instantly feel relaxed when you're at Camp 1910 at Windsong Acres.
