About this property
Stunning 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom retreat on 4th Lake between Old Forge and Inlet!
Camp Cliffview is a magnificent, private estate occupying over four acres and 300 feet of pristine shoreline on the banks of Fourth Lake in the Fulton Chain.
Built in the Adirondack style, the distinctive, spacious main house is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests, making it ideal for family gatherings or group retreats by the water. Set along a private stretch of shoreline, the home offers expansive living areas where everyone can gather, along with multiple bedrooms that provide privacy and comfort. Large windows fill the house with natural light and showcase beautiful lake views. Ceiling fans hang comfortably throughout wood-paneled rooms, giving the house a natural, grounded vibe. A fully equipped kitchen, generous dining space, and cozy common rooms make it easy to share meals and memories together.
Outside, multiple decks, a private dock, and open natural spaces create plenty of room for swimming, boating, relaxing, and enjoying long days by the lake without ever feeling crowded. The south-facing side of the house has sliding doors that open to a massive main deck. There, one can find an abundance of open seating and lounging areas, a covered BBQ area, as well as ample seating and dining areas suitable for use during inclement weather. Stairs lead down to the boathouse and private docks, providing additional areas available for all types of recreation. The boathouse entertainment area with its bar, refrigerator, and stereo are great for social gatherings and sunbathing. A floating swimming dock awaits offshore. Dock your own boat or water craft at Cliffview after using Inlet’s public boat launch located just minutes from the estate.
Feel like leaving Camp Cliffview for an excursion or two? Old Forge and Inlet are classic Adirondack lake towns: rustic, friendly, and deeply tied to the outdoors.
Old Forge is generally considered the livelier hub. There, one can find:
Enchanted Forest Water Safari (a long-time family favorite that gives the town a playful, kid-friendly buzz); mini golf, arcades, ice cream stands, and souvenir shops lining the main drag; local restaurants, casual bars, and small shops selling Adirondack décor, fudge, and outdoor gear; easy access to lakes, hiking trails, and snowmobile routes.
Inlet, just up the road and within walking or biking distance from Cliffview, is a bit quieter. It’s known for its: stunning lake and mountain views; quaint shops, galleries, and cafés; boating, fishing, and paddling activities, with calm waters and uncrowded shorelines; seasonal events and festivals that bring the community together without overwhelming it.
Whether you feel like horse-back riding or taking in a newly released movie at the cinema, one can find both in Old Forge or Inlet. And then, of course, return to Cliffview to unwind and continue to build memories.
Please note:
Even though Cliffview has additional accommodations (carriage house and guest house) on the premises, you and your party will be the ONLY guests utilizing the property at your time of stay.
If you are interested in expanding your accommodations beyond the main house, perhaps for a family reunion or larger gathering/celebration, please contact Cliffview’s host with inquiries and for further information.
