It is comfortably furnished yet stylish to help you enjoy all the comforts of a home. This is our home away from home, and we hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes our cabin unique is it is privately managed by the family and has the warmth of a home; it is not managed by the big property management companies who do not pay attention to the details. All furniture and accessories were selected for the cabin to make it warm and cozy. It is also quiet and somewhat secluded rather than in a busy neighborhood with cabins built on top of one another. While staying in Smoky Hollow Cabin, you will be surrounded by nature and tranquility even though other cabins are nearby.
The cabin is easily accessible with a safe drive.. The driveway is long and straight and can easily accommodate up to 4 vehicles. With 3,300 square feet, the cabin boasts plenty of space to spread out. The children can play outside or in the basement game room. Adults can gather around the fire in the family room, have a drink at the bar in the sunroom, sit around the 8-person table while grilling dinner on the patio, or simply relax on the rocking chairs and swings on the porches. We also have an outdoor fire pit that can be used with adult supervision to warm up or make smores. Not many cabins offer this kind of space, so take advantage of the time staying in to enjoy your time together. The cabin is equipped with WiFi and cable throughout the home with the 5 TVs in the cabin. There is a TV in each bedroom with DirecTV as well as one in the family room and the gameroom.
The main floor is easily accessible with only 3 steps to enter at the main level. The kitchen, dining, and living rooms are open and inviting with a floor to ceiling stone, gas-log fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need except your food. We operate on the honor system, so if you use the last of something, then we kindly ask you to replace it. A king-sized master suite includes a walk-in closet, double vanity, jetted tub, and a separate steam shower. There is also a separate bathroom just off the kitchen which includes a shower; this is also just off the basement stairs. Walk outside on the porch to go to the attached sun room - a great place to hang out and is complete with a wet bar. There are porches galore which offer many places to sit and enjoy the tranquility of this peaceful setting with the natural sound of water running through the property’s own brook.
Walk upstairs to the second floor and overlook the living room from the catwalk or step outside onto the private porch...a beautiful space to sit outside with a cup of coffee or curl up with a good book. The second-floor bedroom includes a queen-sized bed and has a very large en suite bathroom with a standard shower/tub. This room also has an exciting Kidz Cave (closet they will think is amazing!) where the children can play in their own, secret hiding spot or sleep - a sure bet to keep them occupied!
The basement level includes the third bedroom with triple-decker, double-sized bunk beds and a separate double bed to sleep 4 - 8 people! The game room is in the garage which includes ping-pong, foosball, games, toys, and more. This is also the location for the large laundry room with washer and dryer. The bottom floor porch can be accessed in three different locations to lead to the outdoor dining area complete with a grill and 36" Blackstone griddle. You can also walk out on the little bridge to sit by the brook or gather around the fire pit for s’mores. We do not have a hot tub. We had a wonderful time at Sleepy Hollow! There was enough space for our big group to spread out and so many fun games to play. The bunkbed room was especially a hit with all our kids! We loved hearing the little brook from the porch and seeing the wildlife around the cabin. Communication with Dana was excellent!!

Dangerous roads
The listing description specifically stated ‘safe roads’ so I booked this cabin because I thought it would be an easy drive. Boy, do I feel bamboozled. I have stayed at other cabins in the area with awful, terrifying roads and this cabin is no exception! We actually checked out a day early and paid for a hotel because we couldn’t stand it anymore. There are dangerous sections with no guard rails and many areas not wide enough for two cars to pass so you have to hope and pray that no one else is coming. We almost got hit 3 times in the week we stayed. The final driveway to the cabin is gravel with numerous large pot holes and again is only wide enough for 1 car to pass yet there are 4 cabins on this road. The cabin itself and the owners are very nice. I’m only writing this to warn people that the roads are not as ‘safe’ as written in the description.
