Stay at the Mermaid's lair while she's away, frolicking with the Pirate! She created the perfect oasis for those times when one just needs a little peace, quiet and relaxation away from a crazy world that begs escape. Don't worry, the lair is thoughtfully stocked with all the amenities bipedal folks require. There is a fully equipped kitchen (dual ice maker in the fridge), all linens, including beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, etc... Just grab your suit, throw on your flip flops and make a RUN FOR THE COAST! This is a classic beach house with views of the water from Historic Seal Avenue. Covered, off street parking available for vehicles. Ideal for two couples or two small families (one king size bed, one queen size bed plus two inflatable mattresses available) - If you need more space than 2bdr/2bath, check out our other listing - also at this address, a separate 1bdr/1bath/kitchenette cottage which can be booked in addition (if available on the calendar- property listing number #371550)

We loved this house! It was so welcoming and the hosts thought of everything. The house was clean, has a fully stocked kitchen and you can see the ocean from the front steps. We will definitely book here again!

Perfect Place!

This was a great location with all amenities and cute beach decor. We were only there two nights but it was a wonderful stay. They even made us bread pudding! I highly recommend it!

Weekend getaway

The stay was awesome. We were greeted with delicious cupcakes and a nice note. The location was great just a block off the beach and the hosts were easy to contact and quick to answer any questions we had. Would recommend The Mermaid to anyone looking to enjoy the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Amazing stay!

My best friend and I were looking for somewhere to meet for a short weekend beach get-away. This property was everything described and more!!! The house was just lovely and so well equipped. The owners even left us a delicious tray of chocolate covered strawberries for our weekend. We will definitely stay here again!

Hidden Gem of the Gulf

This place was all we could have asked for and more. Quiet, close to everything, and just a couple minute walk to the beach. Kurt and Dana were excellent hosts and would recommend their place to anyone. Thanks for letting us crash at your place for the week!

If you want to get away from the crowds of the Gulf Coast this is a wonderful place to stay. A short walk to the beach and an easy drive to some wonderful shopping and restaurants. The house is very well appointed, comfortable with secure parking. Our hosts were very easy to work with.

Great Stay

We loved our two nights at this home. It’s furnished with lovely things and it’s competently run by friendly, prompt people. The fresh flowers and bakery treats left for us were such a thoughtful element. The proximity to the shore is perfect and the surrounding homes are beautiful to see. We slept well on firm mattresses and enjoyed our time immensely. We would stay again.

Perfect spot

Original southerners by birth, we find the gulf coast offers not only famous southern hospitality, but a rich blend of the various coastal culture from New Orleans to Florida (not to mention fantastic foods) that cannot be duplicated anywhere else on planet earth. We know this because we have traveled all over planet earth! The gulf coast is a special place and we consider it a privilege to be able to share it with others.

Why they chose this property

Our home was built post-Katrina in 2010 when the area was still struggling to revive itself. We've seen significant growth in the past decade.

What makes this property unique

Pass Christian is unique in its stately and peaceful setting among the considerable activities on the coast. It is the perfect quiet beach getaway with easy access to nightlife, casinos, water sports, shopping, museums, restaurants...you name it.
