The space was wonderfully set up. Extremely clean, the kitchen was set up well and we did use it to cook. Everything including seasonings were available to us. There was a coffee pot with coffee, the washer and dreyer worked great. Every need for a weeks long stay was available to us upon check in. We could not have asked for a better property to make our vacation so memorable.
We were visiting to see the sites of DC. It’s a good, clean spot if you’ll be out and about all day. The furniture is uncomfortable, there’s a lot of hodge pod items (2 microwaves because one doesn’t work), we smelled marijuana early one of the mornings coming through the vent, and they need a new shower head, toilet paper holder, and to toss out the ottomans with beads coming out of them. The bed is comfortable, the pillows were not. Again, if you will be gone most of the day, it’s a cheaper option to stay.
My partner and I enjoyed our time here; the host was responsive and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised with the space. The pictures are a little outdated with furniture, so it made the experience even nicer seeing the place updated. The location was convenient for groceries, fun places to visit, and average travel to other places in the DMV. Overall, a good stay and location.
The room was very clean and the host was very responsive and easy to get a hold of. The parking is misleading. You can only park on the street and it’s a one-way short block. You might have to park up around the corner. The host was able to get us a pass to park in that area. We were a little worried about the neighborhood because it seemed a little sketchy at night, but it turned out to be OK. The parking was the biggest downfall. We had to leave a day and a half early due to family emergency.
I had a wonderful stay! The host quickly responded to any questions I had, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The apartment was clean, cozy, and very easy to access with the door code. It had everything I needed for my stay, plus plenty of room and a convenient work desk station. Overall, a great experience—highly recommend!
Good afternoon, VRBO our reason for traveling to DC aera was for a bone biopsy for cancer at the MedStar Washington hospital we drove from the eastern shore Ocean city Maryland area to the VRBO location approximately at 20:45 driving on north capital street, NE prior to turning on Seaton pl. there were several Metropolitan Police officers and their vehicles marked and unmarked in an incident right there, blocking the turn lane. Once we navigated the incident, we found a open parking space on the left hand side of the street. That's where weEncountered 3 males that seemed to be disturbed when we pulled in.When we pulled out and then drove a little bit further to see the front door of the property, mind it my driver is a thirty two year veteran on the state police, who felt that the situation was unsafe due 2 females and me who cannot walk without equipment. On the sidewalk, there was debris and also full size mattress, in low level lighting we decided not to stay. We all felt it was unsafe and left the area. I then received and AI aided rant from the host that basically I was a racist, disrespectful and offensive. This is not a property I would recommend for those reasons.

Thank you for your feedback. I would like to respectfully clarify several aspects of your review as you never check into the unit or even stay longer than 5 mins to provide an accurate review.
Your assessment of the property appears to have been based on an incident you observed while driving nearby, rather than on an actual stay at the home. The situation you referenced occurred on North Capitol Street, which is a major thoroughfare in Washington, D.C., serving as a primary route to both the U.S. Capitol and WHC where you are to be treated. Activity along this corridor, including traffic stops involving multiple agencies, is not uncommon due to the federal surge of the president.
You also mentioned an interaction with individuals on the street that made you uncomfortable. From my understanding, this characterization does not align with what occurred. In your earlier communication, you suggested there was drug sales taking place; however, this was not accurate. The individuals you referred to are residents on the street known to me and other neighbors, who were simply outside enjoying the evening. They also indicated that they assisted in directing you to the property, as our home is recognized locally as a short-term rental.
That said, I sincerely wish you the best with your upcoming medical care and hope everything goes smoothly for you.
I appreciated that apartment was clean and a great location for my stay! Great coffee shop, restaurants and pub within walking distance, with very easy access to public transportation. I enjoyed the comfort of the bed and pillows & the extra blankets available. I also very much appreciated that there was laundry soap provided for the washer. The sounds of a child and loud bangs coming from above were annoying at times, but did not spoil the stay. Hand soap and a trash can in the bathroom would be a great addition to this apartment. Thank you for a lovely stay!
