Welcome to Faraway Skies! This beautiful cabin sits just 20 minutes north of Boone and offers unforgettable views from the deck! On a clear afternoon, soak up the stunning view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and in the evening, enjoy an evening under the stars while you sit by a campfire.

The living room offers a gas fireplace, beautiful vaulted ceilings, a cozy couch, an over-sized chair, a flat screen TV and deck access. Just behind the living room is the fully-equipped kitchen with all the tools necessary to prepare a great meal. This open concept makes this area the perfect place for all of your friends and family to gather! There is a dining table that seats 4 and 2 stools at the bar.

Both bedrooms are on the main level of the home, which is about 15 steps down from the front door entrance. One bedroom has a king bed and a full bathroom with a tile shower. The other bedroom has a queen bed. The second bathroom is just outside of this bedroom, in the hall. Upstairs, you will find two more twin beds in the loft along with another full bathroom. The outside grounds are likely to be your favorite feature of Faraway Skies. Just a short walk from the deck you will find a hot tub as well as a fire pit. Another perfect area for the family to spread out and enjoy the cool mountain evenings.

Faraway Skies is the perfect cabin to call home whether it be summer, fall or spring! The road leading to this home is gravel, and there is enough parking for 3-4 medium size vehicles. There are no immediate neighbors which offers total peace and quiet for you to relax - away from the everyday hustle.

Additional Notes:
- To get to the front door of this home you must walk down approximately 15 steps. Once you enter the home, there are another 10-15 steps to get to the living & dining area.
- This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- Firewood may be added by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You get two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- AWD/4WD is strongly recommend year round for this cabin.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Please note, this home goes on a winter block from January 1st through March 31st.
- The owners of this home use 1 exterior security camera to ensure their home remains safe. It is mounted on the side of the house on the back deck facing the view.
- Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.

CANCELLATION POLICY -
Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit.
Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
