***IMPORTANT: Our house is on the side of Willow Mountain at 3,500 ft! What does this mean for you?***

WINTER CAUTION: If you are staying with us in the winter months, please ensure your vehicle is equipped properly for mountain driving in the snow. This means an ALL WHEEL DRIVE or FOUR WHEEL DRIVE vehicle. ((FYI -If the back of your car does not say 4x4, AWD or 4WD, it likely is not four wheel drive.)) This property is accessed via a steep, narrow, gravel road, which may be icy or snowy during winter weather. Please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means four-wheel drive, good tires, and possibly snow chains.

SUMMER CAUTION: Please watch carefully for wildlife. We have foxes, deer and even bears! Do not leave any food or trash outside the cabin. Do not leave food in your vehicles.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

**Our cabin has a shared driveway with two other cabins and it is steep (however, it flattens out at the top with ample parking that fits four vehicles comfortably). In winter months, 4x4 OR AWD VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED to access the cabin. In summer months, FWD is sufficient. Trust us, though — the views at the top are worth the climb! **

**Apologies, no pets allowed, except certified service animals. (We have pet allergies in our family.)

**We do have two (2) OUTDOOR-only security cameras located at the front door & driveway. These are strictly for safety & security and are not monitored unless a safety issue arises or property rules are breached.

Amazing Cabin!

The cabin was perfect for us. It is clean, cozy, and the views are spectacular. It's an easy drive to Boone and App State, a few minutes from restaurants. Quiet, peaceful and lovely!!

Lovely Mountain Stay

We had a perfect stay! The location is wonderful with beautiful mountain views and lots of trees. It is clean and had everything we needed for our stay, including a variety of coffee, kitchen needs, and more. The porch is lovely with chairs, a table, and a fire table. The home is close to anything you need. Clare is an excellent host and communication with her was great. I can't wait to come back and stay longer!

We had an amazing stay. Views are gorgeous. So many small thoughtful touches. We brought baby gates and a pack and play, but they were already provided!The last leg of the drive seems a bit steep, but we made it easily in our Kia carnival. We will definitely be back!

Sister getaway in this beautiful spacious cabin. So clean. Everything we needed was there. Views are great from the porch. Hot tub was fabulous with mountain views. So cozy. I hope to be back. Steep drive up but we had no problems on my Honda Odyssey van. Quick response time from owner.

Perfect mountain retreat

My wife and I spent a wonderful few days celebrating the new year in this lovely mountain retreat. Incredible views, complete privacy, everything one could need right there. We literally did not leave (other than going for walks) the whole time ... and we didn't even use the second floor of the house that has more space and bedrooms!

The property boasts amazing views from the bedroom, living room and hot tub! The interior is cozy and comfortable. However, the floors were not clean and the hot tub also needed to be cleaned and maintained. A little disappointing.Otherwise a lovely weekend.

Great stay!!

Overall, we had a great stay! We enjoyed the hot tub and grilling on the deck. Even though the trees hadn't bloomed yet, the views were awesome! The cabin had everything you needed (cooking utensils, extra blankets, etc). Clare was very responsive and gave us super detailed instructions! The only negative was the beds were ok. The pillows were thin, so might be time for an investment in thicker pillows and the mattresses were on the former side.

Great weekend

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in Boone, NC! The house was clean and incredibly well stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The view from the cabin was absolutely beautiful—perfect for enjoying a quiet morning coffee or winding down in the evening.Although it was just the two of us, the cabin had plenty of space and would be ideal for a family or a group of friends. The location couldn’t have been better—close to Appalachian State University, downtown Boone, and Blowing Rock, with easy access to hiking, dining, and shopping.The hosts were fantastic—very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the mountains in comfort and style!

Best location with peace and quiet!

The cabin was perfect for our family of four (twin 15 year olds and their parents)! The location—and how close it is to both Boone and Valle Crucis—is perfect to be able to get places easily. Great proximity to Blowing Rock, Foscoe, Grandfather Mtn, etc, too. The cabin itself was clean and had absolutely everything we needed. A few trees have grown and obstructed the view a little bit, but there is still a nice slice of open view to the beautiful surroundings. The hot tub was great for sore muscles after hiking and kayaking, and the place is close to other homes, but you’d never know it. A short walk down the hill to an amazing view for sunsets with a beverage. I included a picture of one of those sunsets. Nice privacy and an overall wonderful stay! Definitely recommend!
