Excellent value

Clean, functional bungalow with all you need, 500 feet from one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever seen. Chantal is there to greet you and make sure you have everything to be able to enjoy it to the most.The very cute village of Deshaies is a 5 minute car ride away, with good restaurants (la Kaz du Douanier is by far the best). A/C works well and is very silent. If you intend to cook a lot, be aware that locals always eat outside, so there's a beautiful patio with a table for 6 or even more and lots of room for you to enjoy (not shared, the patio is yours). But not much space to eat inside (2 people ok with the folding table).You also share a pool and a hot tub with the other guests, but in our case we always ended up having it all to ourselves, even though there were other guests staying.Great location, great host, great beach

The listing is inaccurate. It states that the hosts speak English, but they did not; all communication was in French. The apartment is cute but outdated. The sheets were old, and it had not been thoroughly cleaned.We requested beach towels but received two bath towels and two beach chairs. There were no cleaning products, dish soap, or paper towels. We received one roll of toilet paper, and the host refused our requests for more.When my son became ill and vomited in the bathroom, I had no way to clean it properly. I used the kitchen towels because nothing else was available. I explained the situation to Chantel, but she refused to provide clean towels. The washer is in a common area and smelled so strongly of mold that we could not use it.The pool was not clean, and the vacuum remained in it throughout our stay. The hot tub was dirty and cold. We repeatedly contacted Chantel and eventually had to contact VRBO. She admitted receiving our messages but said she ignored them because she wanted us to come to her house instead of texting. We were never told which house was hers and could only guess. After complaining, we felt unwelcome.We booked a 10-day stay but left halfway through after finding dead cockroaches on the second-bedroom floor and what appeared to be rodent droppings on the bathroom counter. Although the apartment is close to the beach, it is not worth the extra money. The poor sanitation, missing basic supplies, and unresponsive host outweighed the location.

Un endroit magnifique, l'accès à la plage se fait à pied en 3' et le gîte est superbement décoré. Il faut aussi signaler la gentillesse des hôtes, Chantal et Lauent ainsi que leur fille Elodie. Merci pour ce superbe séjour

Excellent séjour !

Très beau gîte, coloré et confortable. Terrasse ombragée où on peut flemmarder entre deux baignades. Une superbe plage est à 2’ à pied. Pour couronner le tout, nos hôtes ont été accueillants et généreux. Merci à Chantal et Laurent!

Sejour et hôtes extraordinaires

La maison était entièrement équipée avec tout le confort et en accès quasiment direct sur la plage de grande anse. Mais la vraie valeur de cette location, ce sont les propriétaires. Une famille adorable avec le cœur sur la main. Merci encore de votre hospitalité
