2019 custom built canal home w/ waterfront views; great for relaxing getaways

In 2019, we completed construction on a vacation home in Jamaica Beach and we’re excited to share our new waterfront retreat with others. We have rented condos and houses in Galveston for the past 10 years and, as a family of five, we know what people look for in vacation rentals.

Situated on a large canal that leads directly into Galveston Bay and only minutes from the beach, our location makes it easy to spend every day of your vacation on the water.

The ground floor includes a dock, boat slip, outdoor shower, fish cleaning station and underwater fishing lights. Surrounded by louvered walls the ground floor provides plenty of space and privacy to relax with family and friends.

Upstairs on the first floor you will find more outdoor dining and entertaining space with a deck that offers spectacular 180 degree water views. Trex Decking and a child safety gate mean less concern and more comfort enjoying the outdoors with a morning cup of coffee or an evening cocktail.

Inside you will find all of the features of a newly constructed home – new appliances and fixtures; modern design with an open concept layout; up-to-date plumbing and electric; and a fresh, clean feeling throughout the house. Windows and French doors surround the living and dining space bringing in tons of natural light.

The dining area includes a cozy built in bench tucked under two large windows. A full-service kitchen with custom cabinets and stainless steel appliances, comes stocked with dining ware and cookware. A custom-built multi-functional island provides additional storage, prep and dining space.

The master bedroom is privately located on first floor and includes a pillow-top king size bed, smart TV and French doors that open up directly onto a waterfront deck. The en-suite bathroom is a spa like retreat with all the modern features found in new construction: open shower with glass enclosures, separate soaking bathtub, dual sinks and a walk-in closet.

On the third floor, two guest bedrooms and a flex room offer ample sleeping space. The first guestroom features a pillow-top king size bed, smart TV and a full private bathroom with tub/shower combo. In the second guest room, built in bunk beds make for a fun sleeping arrangement for up to four kids.

Vaulted ceilings in the flex room make for another spacious living and sleeping area complete with a smart TV and sleeper sofa. French doors off of the flex room open up onto another deck offering amazing sunrises and sunsets above Galveston Bay.

Jamaica Beach, TX:
A great place to visit! Jamaica Beach is a city within Galveston County with its own Fire and Police department. This beach side and bay side community also features a neighborhood pool (available to renters for a fee), public park with playground and private boat ramp. Located just a few miles from Seven Seas Grocery Store, Jamaica Beach also has a liquor store, hardware store and restaurants. On the gulf side is a private beach just beyond the public parking area. The bay side includes access to Galveston Bay and a protected wetland and bird sanctuary.

Galveston, TX:
Galveston island is a popular vacation destination because of its diverse activities and attractions. With 32 miles of sparkling beaches along Seawall Boulevard, visitors can enjoy fun in the sun, surfing or touring the town. Pleasure Pier - with carnival rides and midway games, the pier lights up at night above the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Moody Gardens – one venue with eight attractions including an aquarium, rainforest, museum and 4D FX theater. Schlitterbahn – this Texas waterpark houses a large collection of thrilling water slides, wave rivers and water coasters. The Strand – a French Quarter inspired feel in Galveston’s Historic District that attracts visitors from all over, hosting the largest Mardi Gras celebration and parade in Texas.
