Located on one of the largest canals in Jamaica Beach w/ direct access to Galveston Bay & State Park, you can't ask for a better location...
- 5 minute bike ride to the beach, Jamaica Beach Swimming Pool (open Memorial Day to the first of August), playground & city park
- 20 minute drive to the Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, the Strand & Sea Wall

'Jamaica Cay' is a place where families can bike to the beach on our complimentary 'beach cruiser' bicycles. A place where children can fish from our pier or kayak through the protected canals of Jamaica Beach (we provide kayaks & life vests at no cost). This is a place where parents can relax on the deck, knowing the kids & pets are playing safely in our fully-fenced yard, and it's a place where friends can enjoy a day of boating right from our boat slip or simply spend the afternoon grilling by the water or relaxing on the deck.

Whether you're looking to soak up some sun in the Jamaica Beach pool or spend the day hiking the nature trails of Galveston State Park, it's all within a mile of our home. Above all else, 'Jamaica Cay' is a place to get away for awhile, relax, and enjoy life with each other! (The Jamaica Beach pool is typically open 6 days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and charges $5/person for a day pass.)

Our private dock is equipped with an underwater fishing light to help draw in the 'big ones' after dark! Trout, red fish, drum, and several other varieties are frequently caught from our deck!

Fishing Guide & Boat Rental Service: If you're looking to hit the water for a guided fishing excursion or a dolphin watching sunset cruise, our professional guide service is available to pick you up right at our pier for a full day or half day bay fishing trip... it doesn't get more convenient than that! Also, if you are interested in renting a boat during your stay, we can help you arrange a full or half-day boat rental at a special discounted rate for our guests!

A note from the owners for parents traveling with small children... we have young children ourselves and have taken great care to ensure our home allows children to play safely AND allows parents to enjoy their vacation without constant worry. Lockable safety gates on both the upstairs deck and the fully-fenced yard help keep your children & pets safely away from the water and street. We also have a high chair and pack-n-play available for your use (just make sure to bring crib sheets).

Wheelchair Accessible... "Jamaica Cay" is wheelchair accessible with a full length ramp extending from the ground level to the main level (including the living and dining rooms, kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom, deck and patio dining area). Please note, the door leading into the house is 31 inches wide and cannot accommodate wheelchairs or mobility devices wider than that.

Amenities include: HD Roku TV's (in living room AND bedrooms) and complimentary high-speed WiFi, washer/dryer, Moen adjustable shower heads with massage setting, Tempurpedic king mattresses, attached boat slip, deck ladder for swimming in the canal, 2 single kayaks and a tandem kayak w/ paddles & life vests, 3 beach-cruiser bicycles and a tandem 2-person bike w/ helmets, covered swing overlooking the waterfront, 8-person patio dining table overlooking the water, separate waterfront grilling area with picnic table and charcoal grill, beach toys, boogie-boards, complimentary coffee station, all linens, towels, blankets, dishes, etc... all of this and more is included with your stay!

Pets: Your pet is part of your family and is welcome in our home with no additional pet deposit. The yard has been designed to give them room to play safely and away from the water. Some restrictions apply... we allow one dog of 60 lbs or less. Must be current on all vaccinations.

IMPORTANT HOUSE RULES! We want you to have a great stay but the following rules must be followed. Please review BEFORE reserving the home...
- This is not a party house. Prom groups and parties are not allowed at any time unless approved by the owner in advance.
- The maximum number of guests allowed on the property at any given time is 10 unless approved by the owner.
- Guests must be at least 25 years of age to reserve the home and adult guests may not rent the home on behalf of underage guests.
- No underage drinking
- No loud music or other disturbances to the neighboring residents
- No trespassing on neighboring properties
