Eagles Nest- Pet Friendly | Screened Porch | Hot Tub | My Mountain
Perched high on a hilltop, Eagles Nest offers glorious mountain vistas as far as the crow flies. This Gordon Cabin in the popular My Mountain area of Morganton welcomes you immediately with its warm and inviting atmosphere. Featuring soaring ceilings and charming country accents, this lovely A-frame would make any eagle-eyed vacationer happy.
Eagles Nest is perfect for lovebirds looking for a romantic getaway any time of year — no special occasion needed! Start your day with breakfast out on the observation deck as birds of a feather chirp to greet you good morning. As you breathe in the fresh mountain air, you'll feel the stresses of everyday life already melting away.
If blue skies prevail, go for a refreshing walk through the hills. Come back and have lunch out on the observation deck's picnic table, enjoying the views and spotting wildlife frolicking nearby. When you're ready to leave the nest again, go for a scenic ride on horseback or play a round of golf. If by chance there's a bit of inclement weather, rainy days were made for spending time upstairs in the loft playing foosball or chess, or curled up under the skylight with a good book as you catch glimpses of lightning dancing overhead.
Have a romantic dinner for two at one of the charming restaurants in downtown Blue Ridge, or perhaps stay in and have a relaxed dinner at home. You can even choose from two gas grills, including one for slow cooking. Afterward, lounge on a swing or rocker on the screened-in porch as you take in a glorious sunset. When the autumn leaves turn blazing colors of orange and red, mull some hot cider and snuggle near the lovely stone gas fireplace, as the firelight glows warmly off of the red cedar walls. In the wintertime, watch snow fall gently on the mountains while soaking in the hot tub with a glass of champagne.
When you're ready to retire, both cozy bedrooms are conveniently located on the main floor and feature lovely antique pieces. Snuggle close and enjoy sweet dreams. Tomorrow awaits you with another fun-filled day.
With its quaint cabin feel, Eagles Nest is sure to please. Spread your wings and spend a few days here, and you'll be flying high.

We had a wonderful time at the Eagle's Nest! We appreciated the cleanliness of the location and the instructions/communications from the guest service. Everything was as described in the listing and photos, and we would book this location again in a heartbeat! The only thing that detracted from the stay was a few bugs (just a few smaller roach type bugs and a scorpion) but that was no issue for us, 9.99/10! Thank you all so much!

Thank you for staying with us at Eagles Nest. We appreciate your kind review and are so pleased you had a wonderful weekend. We appreciate your comment about the bugs, unfortunately, in the woods sometimes they get in. However, thank you for your understanding and not letting it ruin your stay. We look forward to hosting you again very soon.
We have stayed in several properties on My Mountain and the location could not be better. It is easy access to all things GA mountains (hiking, dining, fishing, site seeing). This cabin was mostly as described. The outdoor deck had lovely views. The cabin was adequately appointed and very clean upon our arrival. With some updating of furniture, bedding and kitchen appliances this cabin would be a dream!
The home could use some updating, but definitely was perfect for a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed the hot tub at night. The pool table needs some TLC in order to be able to play it. The View from the back deck was absolutely breathtaking. It made up for not being able to play pool. Overall the house was great and we had a great time.

Thank you for staying with us! Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your vacation. We can't wait to see you again! Escape to Blue Ridge
The cabin location was perfect! You can't beat that view. The observation deck was a lovely place to take in the blue mountains on all sides and watch the eagles flying overhead. We had deer scamper across the property at dusk. The cabin is easy to get to and the kitchen had everything we needed. Loved watching the sun set from the hot tub. My only complaint would be that the beds leave a lot to be desired. I would recommend bringing a mattress pad if you don't like sleeping on a lumpy coil spring mattress but even that did not take away from our enjoyment of this cabin. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I had a great three night stay. The cooler air and mountain breezes were a welcome break from July heat. The king bed was comfortable, the hot tub was lovely, and the view was wonderful. The property management company made everything easy.

The cabin is much roomier than the pictures show and everything you need is available. We had a great time white water rafting and zip lining. It was great get away and not too far from Blue Ridge.
