Great experience. Wears Valley is good location between Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. The cabin was clean and well maintained. Office, cleaning, and maintenance staff could not have been better. Would definitely stay here again. Appreciated having a land line available as cell service was spotty. There is a bear that likes to visit, so pay attention.
Something to do for everyone! Spectacular views, especially when a night lightning storm is in the horizon! You do have to be aware of bears but after all it is their territory too! Unfortunately, we did have a couple family members get bedbug bites near the end of our stay but the manager assured me they fumigated immediately after we left. This kinda left a bad taste in our mouth but overall we enjoyed our stay!
Very nice house. Very spaces lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. The game room was a huge hit for the kids. Saw bears from the patio a few different times. Everything was great besides the millipedes. We killed well over 1000 millipedes inside the house. I think they were all on the main floor and mainly in the morning. I called the rental company that manages the property and was told it’s just that time of year and there isn’t much they can do about it. He told me he would have a pest control company come spray again but I don’t think that happened.
Beautiful cabin in a quiet neighborhood - accommodated our large family very well! Pool table and hot tub entertained our teenagers. Large dining room table was perfect for meals and card games. Cabin was centrally located to Cades Cove, Dollywood and attractions in Pigeon Forge.
Bears were present every day around the cabin, so we hung around outside on the porch and avoided the grill area - Mama Bear and her triplets were seen here.
Could not get the media room projector to work even with following the instructions, the fireplace would not turn on (probably out of propane), one of the Jacuzzi tub jets did not work, the wi-fi needs a booster to work efficiently (management said owner is aware of the problems) I feel if something is going to be listed as a selling point it should be in working order. The cabin was big enough for the family, enjoyed the private bathrooms for each bedroom. The view is fantastic.
We booked last-minute so we expected this high price and maybe some issues. The view is as advertised and the house is in good condition. All 6 bedrooms have their own big jetted tub - it was glorious. The fire pit and hot tub were great; thanks for the big pile of wood.
The issues we had, which would be easy to fix, were all with the entertainment stuff. The pool table needs a new cover and rails; some of the rails are detached so the ball doesn't bounce at all. The ping pong net is broken, the darts cannot stick at all, the ball return on the fusbol table is MIA. We especially looked forward to the movie room, but it only worked for Cable TV. We called to tell the manager the game hookups and DVD player didn't work. He complained that it's hard to get a company from Knoxville to come fix it, and said to make do with another TV. They should not hand you a paper that's also framed in that room explaining all about the video features if they don't really exist.
Property manager answered all our questions they are very reliable. We enjoyed the privacy, outdoor deck space and magnificent views. Few drawbacks - dyer and dishwasher were not working properly. We called for maintenance and they did come and fix dishwasher immediately . We mentioned regarding dryer at the time of checkout... hopefully it will be fixed soon.
Such a beautiful location. The view is absolutely insane! The location is more remote than where we last stayed (about 35-40 min from town areas besides wears valley). The cabin was plenty big, with lots of different activities for everyone to do. We also loved the open layout of the front room/kitchen area. Would definitely recommend this cabin!
I have a group of friends that have done a Gburg trip every March for the past 8 years to celebrate my birthday. This year we not only celebrated that, but I got engaged on the incredibly spacious deck! The background of the mountains was breathtaking in the pictures and video that was captured. You can even enjoy it from the comforts of indoors thanks to the floor to ceiling windows. The rooms were all so nice, the beds more comfortable than mentioned in previous reviews thanks to the addition of mattress toppers, the game room was a hit with the guys and the extra large table held everyone from our group which is a a huge bonus to us because we love to sit and commune with one another. The location was really great, it comes out to about midway on the strip of Pigeon Forge. The overall cleanliness of the cabin was great, and we’re a pretty picky group about things like that. The door lock was kind of tricky and didn’t always work to lock the door so you had to do the process a couple of times before it would stay locked, but that’s minor as far as complaints and can be easily fixed. It would also be nice if the check in process could be all completed online instead of having to go to the main office but even that wasn’t that bad, we’ve just done this for so long and are used to online check ins. For sure our best trip, and we’ll be looking for this house again in the future.
This cabin worked great for our group of 12.
We used the theater room to watch March madness basketball games and it was perfect.
Would stay here again
This is a great place for groups. We took our teen youth group and they loved it.
This is a great place for groups. We took our teen youth group and they loved it. Plenty of games to keep them busy along with spacious living/ kitchen area to feed everyone. Beautiful place and amazing views. We loved it!
Beautiful, spacious, well-maintained property with amazing view. The only minor issues we encountered were 1) could not play foosball because the handles were broken and unsecured in several places and one figure was missing, 2) water filter needed replacing before we arrived, and 3) two left-door shelves in the refrigerator were broken. Otherwise, an amazing location! We would definitely recommend this location.
We had a great stay with my siblings & spouses. Perfect, tranquil view and convenient location away from the congestion of Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed all the amenities and fell in love with Wears Valley. My only complaint is that the beds weren’t the most comfortable, they could use a memory foam topper or new mattresses all together. Also, we did see a mouse in the game room, but we are in the woods so I guess that’s not unexpected, but the rental agency has been notified so I’m sure they will exterminate. Otherwise, perfect stay. We’re already planning our return!
Beautiful place with more than enough room for our group of 18! The views were breath taking. Seen two bears on the property that minded their own business. Women at the check in office were so kind.
This cabin was awesome; the views were spectacular. The open concept and number of main floor bedrooms were wonderful for several elderly and health impaired family members. The porch swings and vast number of rocking chairs on the porch made all of us comfortable to be in one location. We were hoping to use the fire pit, but the weather did not cooperate. Will return to this cabin.
