Wonderful stay in a delightful location; fantastic owner!
This place was a delight!! The owner Dawn was super welcoming and friendly, and super responsive and helpful to my questions. She had great suggestions for the area and it was clear that she worked hard to make the stay as pleasant and relaxing as possible. The place was a cutely decorated older home outfitted with great modern amenities and flawlessly clean linens and furniture (important for my extreme dust allergy). The wifi was super quick and the tv readily streamed tons of movies to pick from. The building was centrally located very near many grocery stores, downtown, and close enough to shopping malls without having to deal with the traffic.
I love this place and cant wait to book it for my next trip!
It is a beautiful old apartment and the check in process is super easy. The one thing I will say is don't use the garbage disposal - it is not listed as a rule but it should be. Overall, we loved our stay. The rules list the quiet times but apparently that only applies to the VRBO residents. The upstairs neighbors must have been practicing Roman-Grecco wresting nightly. It was enought to make the light fixtures shake. It is in a pretty neighborhood and I loved the beauty of the older home. I would rate it as a great stay with the aception of the garbage dispoal situation which cost be an addional 150.00.
Unsatisfied, Bad Management, and Very Disappointed
Rented this March 2, paid in full including a pet deposit. Next update was June 16, when given a very detailed set of rules and assigned unit 3 with description etc. Drove from PA to Greenville, came off the road, but Mgr contacted us at 12:02 PM immediately braking the contract by saying unit wasn't ready because she had received a frantic call from the house cleaner that she found a disaster, so they couldn't meet 3PM check in time, and hopefully it would be ready by 4PM. Thankfully we came to visit our Daughter, otherwise we would have been sitting in a parking lot somewhere. Mgr reached back out at 4:10PM stating we were to be in unit 1 and gave instructions on how to get to unit 1; my wife said we were told and given instructions for unit 3. All along everything we had received was info and instructions detailed on unit 3 and the Mgr said that it was now a software error of some kind which was contrary to the first excuse, and she had to do an unvestigation as to how that happened. Got to the unit about 4:30 PM and was immediately greeted by an upset young man asking if we were there to see his apartment, because he had been told to get out by 5. Original unit 3 was to have shared laundry facilities with unit 4. Found no laundry facilities with unit 1 and no info on how to use or access any as all doors were coded to your phone only. Sunday AM My wife turned the water on in the bathroom sink and immediately felt water spraying out underneath, which she reported immediately by messaging the Mgr Dawn, maintenance didn't come to fix it until Wednesday, and he soaked the bathroom rugs too. There was no cable, and only bare minimal supplies. By Thursday the toilet would only flush when it wanted to, seemed like the water was restricted to only flush once every so many hours. I killed and photographed a roach almost the size of my thumb as well in the livingroom. Rules included quiet time starting at 10:30 PM til 8 AM. Thursday, a large man checked into unit above us, and for our remaining nights it sounded like he was running a marathon across the floor all night. Waking us with his stomping repeatedly. The unit was nice and in a good location, but poorly managed, poorly maintained, and a general dissapointment. Would not recommend. We really feel that after all the inconveniences we had to go through we should be given some kind of a refund, as this seemed like college housing and not something for travelers. Kept video of check out.
We are originally from S. FL. We moved to SC to pursue a business in Real Estate and to have the mountains in our backyard. We LOVE Greenville and have been here since 2016 growing and exploring all the SC has to offer. We love to walk downtown, hike, and check out new breweries with our pup, Lila. We take pride in our business and what we do. We just want to give our guest a taste of what we moved here for.
Why they chose this property
This Plantation style home is gorgeous and full of older character. We chose it because it has a huge wrap around porch and is set in the wonderful Overbrook neighborhood not too far from Greenville and close to the highway.
What makes this property unique
With how central this home is, you can easily get to anywhere you need in 10 minutes or less. It has plenty of parking and stays pretty quiet most of the time. Having a washer and dryer in the building also helps any one visiting to knock out laundry instead of having to go somewhere to clean your clothes.
