My family and I stayed here while we were in town for a wedding and had the best experience! Although we didn’t get to hit the lake, the home was equipped with everything we could possibly need for lake activities! The house was so gorgeous- also very clean and welcoming, we felt at home the entire time. Beds were so comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, and the check in process was a breeze! The host was very accommodating and easy to contact! We will definitely be staying again in the future!
We had a wonderful weekend at this property with 4 teenaged girls and a 9 year old boy. The house was well stocked and the hosts allowed use of their kayaks and life jackets. Both bathrooms were big, the beds were very comfortable, and the back deck and lake access made for a relaxing weekend getaway. The pizza place nearby was fabulous as well. Hope to make it back sometime.
The owner always replied to our questions quickly and was extremely helpful in making it a great vacation. The view is wonderful. Recommend staying here.
This place had everything we all needed! Absolutely beautiful place to explore and enjoy the water. What a wonderful place. The owner was incredibly nice and just a text away. We love our new Lake House vacation spot and look forward to next years trip!
I specifically booked this VRBO to enjoy a relaxing weekend with my bridal party before my big day! I needed a calm, outdoorsy place and this home was exactly that! I took the paddle board out two days in a row and had a wonderful time exploring the lake. The sunrises were perfect and the stars at night were BIG AND BRIGHT! This home is an absolute gem and I will definitely be booking again!
House was very well kept and enjoyed the amenities that Bryan provided. Great location and neighborhood. Rented a boat to take on the lake minutes from the property. Kids also appreciated the board games. Will rent again in the future.
Awesome access to swim in the lake. House is equipped with everything needed and items to use at the lake. Recommend Collins Guide Service for fishing and boat rental at Whitney Ridge.
Took family from Houston to this house for the 2024 eclipse. Host was very gracious, communicative, and remained faithful to the in-demand booking without question. Had a wonderful stay. Lots of outdoor activities available (walking, swimming, kayaking) in a scenic location. Kitchen was well stocked, as was the entertainment center.
Would definitely stay here again if given the chance. Thanks again!
Four high school friends needed a place to spend the weekend reminiscing and to be used as a staging area for a guided fishing trip on Lake Whitney. The home was exactly as described. The owner kept in touch and was extremely accommodating. All the amenities were beyond expectation. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely look at this location first the next time we plan a reunion.
Everything went well for our quick weekend stay. The house was clean and well appointed. There was a potential issue with the well water so the host provided plenty of bottled water for our group which I felt was above and beyond! The kayaks are great for exploring the coves with kids. It’s a hike to the water front so be prepared for that. Overall, a very nice experience!
Our family enjoyed this lake house so much. Bryan was incredibly easy to work with and has thought of everything. Life jackets, bug spray, paper towels, bottle opener, gas grill with propane--it's all there. It might be the best supplied VRBO we have ever stayed in. We had so much fun exploring the lake with the kayaks and swimming just down from the house. The back porch is perfect for sipping coffee in the morning. We will definitely be back!
We spent three relaxing days at Bryan's place. The cabin was great! Very comfortable, immaculate, and had everything we needed. The outside sitting areas were awesome, we cooked out one night on the patio, but loved the big porch in the front. Our little dog enjoyed the screened in porch. The weather was not in our favor, rain and wind, but nothing Bryan could have done about that. He provided plenty of toys for the lake, had the weather been better. We look forward to staying there again, with better weather and more opportunity for outside fun.

For folks reading this review, we recently modified our Pet policy and no longer allow dogs. Reason is that we purchased all new furniture and to help those asthma and allergies sufferers. Hope you understand. Bryan G
Our group had eight adults ranging from 30-72 years of age. This property had something for everyone! While the majority of us flopped like fish in the lake and enjoyed the provided water toys (TY), grands watched from the comfort of the deck. Water shoes are a must!!!
The home had tons of room and high quality appliances, all furnishings in excellent condition. The upstairs “game/tv room” was a hit for the big kids.
Very clean and well kept property. Highly recommend unless you want the same date as our hoped for return 😂
We gift our grandkids experiences and our grandson requested fishing and boating on a lake for his birthday. My husband did research and came up with Lake Whitney then I found Bryan’s rental. We were wonderfully surprised by the beauty and lack of crowding at the lake and Bryan’s house was a perfect match for us!
The house is easy to find using GPS and not far from grocery stores and a couple restaurants. The house has a master down and three rooms up, living spaces on both floors, and very large bathrooms on both floors which were perfect for a watery weekend giving soace between kids and ‘old’ folks when needed! The laundry facilities were a big help. The upper deck and covered porch down were wonderful … during the morning hours and for taking photos. It was incredibly hot so I’m sure we would have used those more in cooler weather as the view is gorgeous.
Bryan is a very responsive host and the house is well appointed for relaxing and cooking both inside and out. The mornings began early for whomever wanted to fish and you could see the fish jumping as long as you got there at dawn. We had rented a boat and tube so spent 10-2 on the lake then returned for afternoon and evening play at the house shore. Life vests are provided for using the paddle board and kayaks which were a HUGE hit! We were able to get them down the hill to the water with reasonable effort for two 60 year olds and 13, 10, and 9 year old kids. You can also make a short drive to get closer if you prefer.
I highly recommend Bryan’s home for any group. The only challenge would be for those who want to get to the water but need more of a flat approach and those folks probably need a different lake. The cliffs and rocky shores of Lake Whitney are gorgeous and lend to its cleanliness!
We fell in love with this lake, plan to go back, and will stay at Bryan’s house as long as our group fits!
Our family had a great time here. We were impressed with how clean the house was and enjoyed the space for our family of 6. The kitchen was well equipped and bathrooms were spacious. I was surprised that there wasn't more lighting in the living room - which would have been nice - but we moved some lamps in and that brightened that area up. The lake isn't right outside the door, but it is a short walk to the lake and it was not very busy during our long weekend there. We had a great time and would certainly stay here again. Bryan is a great host and is super repsonse to questions!
