NEW JUNE 2015, Situated on the Historic Abbeycraig, which also sites the National Wallace Monument, with unrivalled view of Stirling Castle, is our newly constructed, immaculately finished home from home in Stirling. The recently completed accommodation comprises a spacious Living area with 48" Sony Smart TV, Fully appointed Kitchen, ground floor shower-room, Master Bedroom with King-size leather bed and wall mounted flat screen TV, second bedroom with Triple sleeper and wall mounted flat screen TV/DVD, and bathroom with additional shower over bath. The property has been finished to a very high standard, with new carpets and flooring throughout, Egyptian cotton bed linen and luxurious towels included. The Kitchen comprises Cooker, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher and Washing machine/dryer. Warmth is provided by gas central heating, and solar power which assists this property in in meeting high standards of environmental performance. Wallace's Rest has parking for one car in the private drive, and an elevated dining patio with views to the Touch Hills and beyond. A travel cot or highchair can be provided on request. Wallace's Rest is suitable for couples or families with no more than 2 unrelated adults.

Lynn and Ian were so friendly and welcoming and the house was perfect and in such a great position for travelling to so many lovely locations in central Scotland. Perfect location for first visit

Wonderful property for my wife and I - only forty mins from Edinburgh by train and easy to drive to Glencoe and the Lochs Superb accommodation exactly as described and everything worked as it should - even provided an hdmi cable in main tv to link to iPad which is a nice little touch. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend or stay again.

We couldn’t have been in a better location and the hosts were friendly and very helpful, always dealt with us smiling. The house was large and 2 bathrooms were great. Kitchen was very dark and hard to cook or wash in but had ALL the amenities. We will stay again.

Amazing Stay at Wallace's Rest

This is my Wife's and My second time staying at Wallace's Rest. We stayed for 3 weeks and this place started to feel like home. (We actually even started calling it home) The three weeks went by way to fast. The place is very clean, and comfortable. We can't say enough good things about this place. If my Wife and I make it to Scotland again we will definitely be staying at Wallace's Rest.

Hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They offered suggestions as to restaurants, sites and the surrounding areas. The location was ideal. It was close enough that we took the hour walk into Stirling, but bus stop was just 2 blocks away, and the busses ran frequently. It is located at the base of the Wallace Monument. It is a steep walk up to the monument, but it can be done. The apartment was very clean and had a washer/dryer.

Perfect location!

Lynn’s home was perfect for our stay! We travelled to settle our eldest daughter into the University of Stirling, which happens to be only minutes away! All the amenities you will need. Walking distance to pub, shopping and restaurants. Very clean and spacious. Only feedback is that the driveway was a little tight.

We had a great stay at Wallace’s Rest. The house was exactly as described and the open living/dining/kitchen area was an ideal size for the four of us. The kids loved spotting squirrels in the garden. The house was well equipped and there’s loads of wardrobe space in the main bedroom. Kids loved the bunk beds and having a tv in their room. We would recommend the house and hope to stay again in the future.

Die Lage des Hauses ist bombastisch. Aus dem Wohnzimmerfenster sieht man Stirling Castle und das Wallace Monument ist zu sehen sobald man die ersten Schritte aus dem Haus macht und ist in wenigen Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Die Einrichtung ist gemütliche, liebevoll und praktisch. Die Gastgeber sind sympatisch und man bekommt den ein oder anderen Tipp. Ein kleine Supermarkt ist 2 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt, der gut besuchte Pub direkt gegenüber und ein guter Italiener, mit Blick aufs Monument,direkt hinter dem Supermarkt.

Comfortable, clean and great location

Wallace’s Rest is a comfortable, clean and very well located 2 bedroom house. The facilities are excellent. Full fitted kitchen, bath and shower room upstairs and a shower room downstairs. The view of Stirling Castle and Wallace’s Monument are great bonuses for any tourists. I would highly recommend Wallace’s Rest to anyone planning to visit the Stirling area.
