Stunning two bedroom cottage, close to Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough & Ripley

Commerce Cottage is situated in the lovely village of Killinghall, a short journey away from Harrogate and a stones throw away from the beautiful village of Ripley with its world famous Ice cream, cafes and the wonderful Boars Head Hotel for its fabulous food. There are an array of delightful countryside walks nearby too through Ripley and along the river Nidd. Killinghall has its own Tesco store a 5 minute walk from the cottage for all your grocery needs.
There are regular buses to Harrogate, Leeds and Ripon from the bus stop 2 minutes away from the cottage.

This delightful cottage is full of character blending the old with the new. The front entrance leads directly into the dining room with wooden floor, seating up to 6 guests and walkway through to the lounge.

The lounge has stone flooring with cosy rugs, feature stone wall, beams and fieplace.

The Kitchen has a tiled floor with 1 step down into rear patio area with outside seating.

Bedroom 1 is a Super King Bedroom with smart tv. Bedroom 2 is a small double with access from one side only. (No tv).

There is one Bathroom with a shower over the bath, a heated towel rail, toilet and basin.

All fuel, linen and towels included in the rent.
Parking for 2 cars in church opposite with discs provided in the cottage.

Quaint cottage style terrace house which served its purpose for us as temporary accommodation between house sale and relocating to apartment.

8 week stay

Not the greatest experience.. shower runs cold daily. No working smoke alarms . Had to clear the rear drain to stop them overflowing. Dishwasher leaves dirt and the washer squeals. There is better out there but this was convenient for our circumstances at the time.

Holiday for Cycling world championship

Property was in ideal location for the bike racing. Property was asdescribed and very comfortable for the 2 couples that stayed.

I personally love the location my cottage because it is 5 minutes one way from the beautiful countryside surrounding the river Nidd and 5 minutes the other way from Harrogate town centre. There is always going to be some traffic noise close to a town centre.

Great Location

Really beautiful cottage in a great location for exploring north Yorkshire. The only down side is the busy road. It seems to be a main route into larger city and heavy traffic starts at 5:30am

The rest of the time I am a beauty therapist working in my own salon in Easingwold - Karen Elizabeth Beauty. I am closely involved in the upkeep and cleaning of my cottages to ensure that everything remains to a high standard.

Why they chose this property

I bought this cottage as I love the village, Killinghall. It is so accessible to everywhere; Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripley, Ripon, Leeds and York. It is a great location for the Great Yorkshire Showground and it's year round events, Harrogate, for the Leeds Festival, races at Wetherby, York and Ripon, as well as being on hand for the many events held at Ripley Castle. Also not forgetting the Horse Trials at Bramham Park in nearby Wetherby.

What makes this property unique

Commerce Cottage is a stunning cottage sleeping 6 in three bedrooms. The nearby village offers pubs for eating and it's very own fish and chip shop! THe nearby village of Ripley offers an array of shops for everything you need including groceries, cafes, restaurants, an ice-cream store, local butchers and a delicatessen.
There is an excellent bus service from this village into Harrogate. It's location, close to major Yorkshire attractions, as well as the motorway network makes it an ideal base for exploring all that the area has to offer.
