The home was very clean. I just wish it had a second bedroom. Love the privacy, the open air and breathe taking views. Beautiful lake and I would love to return again. Thank you Craig for allowing my family and I to experience The Little Lake House adventure.
It's nice and secluded, yet close to Fond du Lac and Osh Kosh for anything you need. Rooms were clean. A beautiful sunrise view. It did feel a little cool, even with fireplace and heat on. I also did not find any shampoo/bath soap. Host was very responsive and even let me check in a little early. Overall, a nice stay.
Very comfortable cozy cabin on Lake Winnebago! I would definitely stay again. Wish there were hooks in the bathroom to hang clothes & towels, other than that it as a very nice place to stay & enjoy the lake.
This house is perfect if you’re looking for a getaway from the city and enjoy wildlife and sitting by the lake. We had a comfortable stay and were glad to see the house has central AC with these recent heat waves.
Very clean. Only recommend maybe a luggage rack in bathroom area or hooks there to hang our towels or clothes while getting ready. Maybe a heads up on the grill. Thought it was gas but actually charcoal. All in all, we can always find something WE would do but it was a wonderful stay. It was so lovely to wake up every morning to the beautiful sunrise, the peace, just the beauty of the peninsula. Craig was very responsive when we had a question about something. We would love to stay again. Its far enough away to feel like we were upnorth without a 4 hour drive. Also, the park down the road was great for a long walk along the lake. Its a beautiful park.

Location was perfect for what we wanted, which was to bike and relax. Being lakeside, the bird watching was amazing, bald eagles, herons, osprey, pelicans! One note: being a rural property, the water is from a well so there is a smell.
GREAT PROPERTY FOR COUPLES .THE HOUSE TRULY SITS ON A PENISULA WITH PLENTY OF ROOM TO HANG OUT IN A PRIVATE SETTING.INSIDE IS VERY COZY AND WELL DONE.The sound system and tvs are also a nice touch.Would go back again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Little Lake House. Response times were a little lacking from Management and we had to buy many needed items ourself as not enough were provided. Overall, it was very relaxing and just what the doctor ordered for the Holiday Weekend!

Loved the location and views of the property. House was clean. The outside could use some upkeep. Paint and/or texture was peeling and the balcony could use some care. But all in all a nice place to stay, we would return to this property in the future.
Owner did a great job of communicating.

Hello Heather,
I apologize for the paint on the exterior of our property. It has been scheduled for over a month but weather, lack of openings, we do not want to paint while are visitors are present. Our [property is booked over 90% thoughout the year which , makes that process difficult. Once again I apologize and hope only the best Spring has to offer.

The dictionary definitions of rest, relaxation, vacation and bliss all need to be re-written to reference The Little Lake House. Peaceful and quiet. Serenity. Dang, we needed that week! Thanks to Craig for being a super host!
Overall this was a good trip to get away and spend time by the water and relax.Craig was very responsive when I reached out and resolved the issue quickly. The house is set on a small peninsula area which made it feel like my own private space. The location is nice and not a far drive for me at all. It has an “up north” feel, yet within 10 minutes you can find a ton of stores/restaurants. It has good air conditioning (a necessity on 90 days), a cute little patio off the bedroom on the second floor, and a full kitchen which made it easy to prepare meals. I loved that there was a bonfire pit and grill available to use.A couple things that could be improved upon: Lots of bugs (flies, spiders, large ants) in the house the whole time (even after taking care of several myself), more than I was expecting there to be.The area around the pier had a lot of seaweed which made it hard to comfortably swim. Also the last step on the pier ladder was very slippery, so getting up and down was a bit challenging. Overall I enjoyed my time of peacefulness & relaxation at the little lake house!

Charming house in a great location
My husband and I brought our boat to fish but much of the weekend was rainy. Fortunately, the house is nice enough to hang out in (big TV w/free Netflix!) and we enjoyed watching the weather over the lake. Got out for a few hours and caught a nice walleye. Note that owner (and most places on Winnebago) don't allow overnight docking of boats as the shallow lake can get wild during storms. We used a nice boat launch north of the property. House is cozy and fun, but be sure you can manage the stairs, the bedroom and bathroom are on separate floors.
The accommodations were very comfortable and the place is sufficiently equipped for cooking. Good size for two people but four would be a stretch. Craig is easy to deal with.

So the property was really clean and nicely secluded. All the amenities were as described. The one thing that was a bit of a challenge in our minds was that the bedroom is upstairs but the bathroom was on the lower level at the backside of the kitchen, so trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night aren’t easy. They do have several nightlights though that helped. The other thing to note is window treatments in the bedroom. For those that like to rise with the sun, you will have no problem. But those late risers will need eye masks or like to sleep under the covers because they’re not room darkening blinds. Lol! We had a great time though watching the bald Eagle across the cove and enjoying nearby dining establishments like Schmitty’s (best lobster bisque I’ve ever had) and Sunset grill! Oshkosh and Elkhart Lake are easy drives as well. Great place to make some memories!
The Little Lake House was a relaxing and quiet get away. The location is beautiful and the property is exactly as it’s named: a modest house that had everything we needed for 2 people. We enjoyed listening to the birds and ducks in the morning, watching the sunrise, hanging by the lake, and having fires at night. The kitchen is nice so we made a lot of our own meals. We were able to drop our kayak and paddle board in using the dock (a little climbing necessary but doable) and paddled around, but the shoreline has a lot of seaweed so it’s not really fit for swimming or floating. There were a lot of cobwebs on the outside surfaces though so we had to do some cleaning to feel comfortable. A couple logistical things about the house: 1) The bedroom is upstairs while the bathroom is downstairs across the house. If you’re someone who uses the bathroom at night, this poses a challenge. There is a pullout couch in the living room though. 2) Most windows have no curtains or blinds. This didn’t really bother us though as the house is tucked away enough that it feels private enough. When we weren’t at the house, we enjoyed visiting Lakeside Park with an old restored lighthouse and some local establishments with good seafood. Overall we enjoyed our time there.

My husband & I reserved this place for our wedding anniversary. But unfortunately we left early, for a few reasons.
Pros: It’s a cute old stucco with a really gorgeous view of the lake on a unique property.
-Tons of bird watching (Eagles, pelicans, ducks, etc).
-A nice long dock with a bench for fishing or just enjoying the views.
-Plenty of room in the yard to plop down a lawn chair & relax while listening to the waves.
-Quiet & peaceful.
Cons: The house itself, the deck & the balcony are in need of some general TLC.
-The grill was filthy & we had to buy a grill brush to clean it. (Bring some charcoal if you plan to use it)
-The fire pit needs to be dug out & cleaned up.
-No fire wood provided, BYO
-We had two large, angry carpenter bees inside when we arrived (I’m allergic).
-The bathroom, specifically the toilet/shower is tiny, not user friendly & awkward.
- Queen mattress was extremely hard/uncomfortable.
- During a particularly bad rain storm, water was pouring in through the top of the doorframe between the kitchen a bathroom area. The next day the mildew smell was excessive.
We decided to call it the next morning & go home.
If you want rustic in the true sense, this is it. We expected something else from viewing the photos/description. But in the end, sadly, this just wasn’t our cup of tea.
