We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the villa. It was lovely and quiet but a short drive away was Puerto Rico with all the restaurants and shops we could ask for. The communication was excellent from start to finish. The villa had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen is very well equipped with a large fridge freezer and even a wine fridge! A very good selection of books on offer, I managed to read a couple while relaxing outside. The pool and hot tub were both well used by all the family. It was very hot during our stay so the air conditioning was essential and it was great to have it in each bedroom as well as the large lounge and dining area. Each bedroom is en-suite and that meant everyone could get ready in their own time.

We had a great stay, the property was great for us, Ger was a great host, both prior to our stay and especially taking time to welcome us and show us around the villa. Jacuzzi was great, as were the hot showers and Uk TV channels.

Very informative and easy communication with the villa owner Ger. Perfect villa for a family or group of friends - well equipped and well functioning. Sun all day. The house is pretty much sheltered with less wind. Nice view of the golf court and you can also see the ocean. Great jacuzzi and a small swimming pool was really nice, also for the kids. Access to two large swimming pools within the villa area were also nice. Great golf course, driving range and putting area within short walking distance. Nice and peaceful local beach within walking distance. Recommend car to the beautiful and popular Amadores beach, but walking is also possible. In total we loved the stay at the villa!

We have recently returned from a 2 week stay at Villa Carmella. We found the villa (inside and out) to be exactly as advertised and as other guests have described...very clean and comfortable.Communication with Gerard was first class and he clearly goes the extra mile to ensure guests can fully enjoy their stay not just when at the villa but lots of information to explore the rest of the island.Thoroughly recommend to anyone thinking of staying at Villa Carmela- just do it!

The villa was very clean and all amenities were as described. Villa a short taxi ride to Peurto Rico which has a good shopping centre and plenty of restaurants. A lovely place to stay.

The property is lovely and is very comfortable. We didn’t hire a car and really didn’t need one as we downloaded the local taxi app used cabs they were really cheap and efficient. We waited no more that 3 mins once ordered. However we ordered them from the Spar Shop on site as cabs struggled to find the villa. The property is closer to Puerto Rico and about 15 mins in a cab to Mogan. You can walk to the nearest beach through golf course and over rocks but not recommended and the beach has no facilities is quite small. There is a beach further on from this on the left up the costal path with restaurants takes about 20 mins nice to do whilst sun is setting the beach is called Amodores. We however went mostly to Mogan beach. If you wish to hire bikes in Mogan be aware that part of the costal road from Mogan has been closed for years the only way back to the villa if picking up a bike is on the ferry to Puerto Rico then cycling down. We used Free Motion they were excellent!

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Carmela. The villa is extremely well located; it is only a 15 minute walk from the Tauro Beach. We were also very pleased to have access to two very large heated pools, as well as our own heated pool. Ger, the property manager, was very kind to meet us at the villa upon our arrival and also at our departure. We appreciated very much all the helpful information and support he gave us before our arrival and throughout our stay. . Ger was always available to answer our questions. He responded promptly and with enthusiasm. If you are looking for a golf vacation or simply a quiet spot to relax and enjoy the beach and/or pool, this is the perfect place. Thank you, Ger for making our stay so comfortable! We very much appreciated your calm and warm approach!

Super villa

Villa Carmela is a great holiday home in a lovely location. Gerard was a joy to deal with throughout the booking process, met us on arrival and then helped with our departure. The villa is very spacious inside and out. It is very clean and has all the facilities you need for a relaxing holiday. The shop and restaurant on-site are great and very useful. Taxis are cheap and easy to get to go anywhere you need to. The villa captures the sun all day and the pool and hot-tub are great to cool down in. Would thoroughly recommend.

A fantastic villa

Villa Carmela provided us with a dream holiday. The location was perfect - quiet and giving lovely views over the golf course to the sea. The interior was spacious , spotless and furnished to a very high standard. The heated pool is surrounded by grass making it a very safe place for the elderly and the young - no slippery tiles. Tauro Grill - a five minute walk - serves excellent food with efficient and friendly staff. Amadores beach - a five minute drive offers a choice of Restaurants- Blue Beach being our favorite. Having rented many villas through the years Villa Carmela was definitely the best . We look forward to returning.

Lovey, relaxing week in a great villla

We had a great week (family of 4) at Villa Carmela. It is the best villa in a super location on a wonderful golf course. Inside fantastic, spacious living areas, very comfy en-suite bedrooms and great TV/video on demand. Lots of nice touches around the property. Outside a good sized garden with plenty of room for 5 loungers, a fun warm pool, great views out to sea over the golf course, and sun from 10am to 7pm (February). You need a car. Recommend eating at the local Tauro Grill (friendly and good value). Also good fun at the nearby par 3 golf course. Communication with the owner and local help was fantastic. We are already talking about returning

A lovely property with all we needed for a three generation holiday

The property is well maintained and equipped. For our family of grandparents, parents and two small boys, it was ideal. The small pool, with a great supply of pool toys, was just right for our four year old. We loved Tauro beach, which is accessible on foot. The Bar Pio Pio there is good for drinks and a tapas lunch. With a short drive, we could reach other, more commercial beaches as well as good supermarkets. Palmitos Park is an excellent day trip. Our only very minor complaint is about the house description. There was no mention in advance of the restrictions on the use of the hot tub - no children and no drinks! However, this is a small point, given the many advantages of the villa.

Abigail I'm delighted you all enjoyed your stay in Villa Carmela and thanks for the 5 star review. The rules for the hot tub are purely for health and safety. Hot tubs are not recommended for children under 5. Also no drinking as there is a risk of glass breaking. In fairness, I think these rules apply in almost all hot tubs. Most of my guests are happy with the kids using the pool and the adults using the hot tub. I hope to welcome you back again. Regards Ger

High quality and spacious villa, ideally located

Villa Carmela is almost certainly the best of various villas we have rented over the years. Ideally located at the end of a run of smart villas within the Anfi Tauro golf complex, it is totally private and has uninterrupted views across the course to the sea beyond. The rooms are all large and well furnished, the air-con units are both effective and quiet, and the whole villa is very well equipped indeed. Perhaps the garden pool is a little smaller than we're used to but then there's a much larger shared pool within 100m walk. It's just 5 mins drive both to a super new Mercadano supermarket and also to the excellent beach and restaurants at Amadores. The fast coast road makes exploring the whole island very easy and, whilst perhaps not as attractive overall as Lanzarote, we found some great sights to explore. Highly recommended.

Lovely slice of paradise.

Our family of 6 adults just completed a holiday at Villa Carmela in Anfi Tauro in early January. It was a wonderful place to stay; truly ideal for us to enjoy a restful, yet activity-filled vacation. The villa is comfortable and spacious, so it is easy to find quiet time on an individual basis, while being designed so there are great gathering spaces too. The villa has a large kitchen with full-sized fridge/freezer, grill, and dishwasher so that dinners in are quite manageable. The location provides a quick walk to Tauro beach, which currently has no changing facilities, but that’s not a problem as it is easy to get back and forth to the villa. On a positive note, however, the beach is not crowded with shops and people so spreading out a towel for a session in the sun and surf is more private than on other beaches in the area. Most importantly, Gerard was a wonderful host, as others have said. He was communicative from the very first and remained in touch as we finished our stay and headed home. He provided great, helpful information and made us feel very much at home in the villa. I highly recommend a stay on this lovely, diverse island in this convenient and comfortable location!
