About this property
Comfortable Stay in Historic, Brooklyn Brownstone
Our home was built around 1910 and still has many stunning original details. We are located directly adjacent to a city playground with basketball courts, jungle gyms, and summertime water features. We are also located just two blocks from a large grocery store and subway station, which will take you directly into lower Manhattan within 20-30 minutes. There are several charming restaurants and coffee shops within a few blocks, as well as beautiful Prospect Park and historic Greenwood Cemetery.
Our home captures that historic Brooklyn charm (high pressed-tin ceilings, original hardwood floors, stained glass and beautiful mosaic tiling) mixed in with all the modern amenities one would come to expect. In addition to the 4 bedrooms, kitchen and dining room, the home features a very spacious living room, family room with 60" HDTV, office, large playroom with Swedish climbing bars, two full bathrooms with a jacuzzi tub, and backyard garden and deck.
Guests will have complete access to the entire home, with the exception of one locked closet where we keep our personal belongings.
If you are staying with us in the spring or summer, we have a large outdoor garden with tons of raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, grapes, and more. You are free to pick and eat anything you like!
Our neighborhood is truly outstanding. Very safe and family orientated, we are nestled between Prospect Park and the historic Greenwood Cemetery, both of which are worth a visit. A city park is located directly next to the apartment and a full size grocery store is only two blocks away. Ft. Hamilton Parkway, which is one block to the north of us, has a number of great restaurants and coffee shops. We have also complied a short list of all our favorite neighborhood spots, which we have included on the backside of our welcome note inside the apartment.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the COVID pandemic, we had to move temporarily and we were forced to rent this home to some long term tenants who are departing on May 1st. Therefore, some of the furnishings and decorative elements will be different from the photos. However rest assured the home will be delivered as nice if not better than how it presently appears and we will update with new photos as soon as we are able.
