Beautiful independent villa with private pool and garden situated in the centre of Camucia, only a few kilometers away from the lovely medieval town of Cortona. This villa, dating back to 19th century, is elegantly furnished with antique pieces and it offers welcoming interiors. The garden surrounding the villa is well-kept and completely fenced for full privacy.
Distances: Camucia with all kinds of shops and railway station only a few meters away, Cortona 3 km away, Perugia 45 km, Siena 80 km away. Lake Trasimeno is a 15-minute drive. Due to the excellent location of Villa Primula, a car is not essential.
At guests’ disposal: large fenced garden furnished with tables, sun umbrellas and sun chairs. Private swimming-pool (5,5 x 3 m - min. depth 1 m - max. depth 1,5 m - open from 15/04 to 15/10). Laundry. WI-FI internet connection available (free of charge). The villa is air-conditioned.
Parking within the grounds.
Extra Services: Baby bed available free of charge. Maid service available by arrangement (€ 15,- / per hour).

Villa Primula

A great villa for a 3 generation group; lovely pool and garden with plenty of outside furniture. Cafes, shops and transport are within walking distance. Spacious rooms and well equipped kitchen. Owner very helpful.

Our group of 8 people rented Villa Primula for a small family reunion, our priorities were: a private pool, AC in the bedrooms and walking distance to the town. This villa met all our request. The hosts were attentive and helpful. Fully equipped kitchen if you want to do your own cooking, beautiful garden and great pool. The property is just as described. We highly recommend it.

Large Beautiful Old Home

The location of the home was very convenient to restaurants and shopping, but far enough to be very quiet. It is a large home with plenty of room for several families. It was very clean and well stocked. The decor is charming and reflects the period of time when the home was built. Check in was extremely easy. We didn't get a chance to use the pool because we were there in April, so it was too cold. The only drawback was the electricity. We were surprised by the amount he charges for electricity. We were there for 4 nights, about 1 hour at night and 1 hour in the morning. The charge for the electricity was 29eur. But, I would definitely recommend this home.

Bellissima la Villa in posizione strategica per visitare tutta la zona. Gli host sono cordiali e molto disponibili. Unica pecca, per chi arriva in inverno: noi siamo andati in un periodo dell'anno piuttosto freddo e abbiamo avuto un po di difficoltà a riscaladare il piano terra inoltre il camino non si può utilizzare. Sono sicuro che d'estate con la piscina aperta sia una dimora fantastica.

Lovely house but …

The property is very nice but certain things could be improved e.g. the bedding is quite dated and particularly the pillows carry a “used” smell. We ended up using our own blankets/sleeping bags and bought duvets to use in two of the rooms. Electricity (as mentioned in another review) is rather on the pricey side as an add on cost. A weeks stay was Euro +100,- for a weeks stay were we were mostly away from the house and did not use most of the house (living room, dinning room and downstairs bedroom) and we did not add heating which would have further increased the cost. As said lovely house and no issue with the host.

Dear Sakina, I am sorry to hear that the property did not meet your expectation. At your arrival you received the usual clean kit from the Villa's owner (which has 3 properties and always worked in the some way in the past 20 years). Concerning the electricity, the Villa's owner asked you to choose between conditioning system or heating and you decided to go for the conditioning and this is why you spent 100 euro in 7 nights. Ottima comunicazione e procedure di check-in e check-out. Lo spazio esterno e’ ben curato, la piscina e’ piccolina, ma comunque importante per rinfrescarsi e rilassarsi e ha uno spazio dedicato all’idromassaggio molto apprezzato! Lo spazio esterno e’ ben curato, la piscina e’ piccolina, ma comunque importante per rinfrescarsi e rilassarsi e ha uno spazio dedicato all’idromassaggio molto apprezzato! La casa si trova all’interno del paese, ma e’ comunque abbastanza silenziosa. Interni “vintage” e arredamento un po’ datato, ma nel complesso siamo stati bene... promossa!!!

I rented this house for the last two weeks of september 2019 to celebrate my 50th birthday and invited friends and family. I didnt want to have to rent a car so that was one reason for the choise of this villa, besides the possibility to house nine and the poolarea. Im very pleased with the villa, the village of Camucia and the small Town Cortona nearby. Supermarket Coop is walkingdistance, plenty of shops and bakery nearby. The house is well kept and the gounds lovely and totaly secluded although very central. We spent days at the pool and evenings with long dinners outside. House is easy to reach from both Florence and Rome with train. Cortona is lovely, the walk up there steep, but theres a small bus to take that goes regulary to cortona from camucia busstation and back. A visit to barrachi wineyards is highly recommended, take their guidetour with a late lunch in their Michelin-restaurant included. Heaven! Ill be back! Jag hyrde detta hus sista två veckorna i september 2019 för att fira att jag fyller 50 med familj och vänner (jag bytte gäster efter en vecka). Huset, byn och staden Cortona är alla underbara. Huset känns avskilt utan insyn vid poolområdet, men ligger centralt. Tomten är underbar och vi spenderade mycket tid vid poolen och med långa middagar utomhus. Det gick bra att vara här utan bil och med gäster som kom via tåg från Florens eller Rom. Vi gjorde även dagsutflykter via tåg. Coop supermarket ligger på lätt gångavstånd och det finns mycket småbutiker och bagerier i närheten. Cortona är fantastiskt mysigt men det är en brant promenad uppför, det går dock en liten lokalbuss upp och ner regelbundet från tågstationen. Ett besök på Barrachi Wineyards rekommenderas verkligen, ta deras guidade tur med lunch i deras michelinrestaurang inkluderat. Vi var alla betagna och överens om att vi kände oss som kungligheter hela dagen, fantastisk service, miljö, mat och vin. Jag kommer att hyra villan igen, längtar redan tillbaka!

Tuscan getaway

The property was wonderful. It was located on a small street, gated, with a pool/ jacuzzi combo. It was walking distance to train station in town and to quite a few local restaurants, bars and stores. Camucia is small and quiet underneath Cortona, a six minute drive, and centrally located to allow 1 hour drives to many other towns in Tuscany and Umbria as well as Lake Trasimeno. Spacious and beautiful home. Thank you and we look forward to coming back again to Villa Primula.

Amazing Villa

Our family of stayed for 6 nights during the heat June 2019 heat wave. Having the pool was wonderful. Everyone has asked when we could go back and if we could stay for 2 weeks instead of one. The villa had everything we needed for a great stay. Major grocery store (Coop) is less than 1 mile away, we walked and drove. Coffee shop and gelateria around the corner. The villa was so central being less than an hours drive to Siena, Pienze, Montepulciano, Arezzo and several other cities. Cortano is just up the hill and you can take the train to Florence quick and easy (about an hr by train). The villa was nicely appointed and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home on 3 nights and dine outside with the entire family together. We were concerned about their only being 2 bathrooms, but this was not a problem. The 4 upstairs bedrooms were larger than expected and the small bedroom downstairs was perfect for our youngest. You will experience street noises as the home is in town, but it was not a disruption for us. If you close the windows and only use AC at night I doubt you would hear the noise at all, but we slept with the windows open and enjoyed the wonderful breezes. We did not watch TV or really spend time in the living room area, but it was very large and nicely decorated. WiFi worked well during our visit with only a minor hiccup with our using the wrong letter in the password and our host quickly responding to help us. Some folks have expressed concern over being charged for electric. Our bill was just under 50 euro for the week with 8 /ppl charging phones, cooking at the residence several nights and using the washing machine for clothes. However, we ran the AC for less than an hour in 2 of the bedrooms just to cool them down in the early evening one night and we made it a point to ensure we turned off lights and unplugged any chargers when we were not using them. I would highly recommend this villa and can't wait to return in the future.

Enrico and his family have a beautiful villa just outside of the hilltop town of Cortona. The Villa was beautifully maintained and so very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed coming back to such a lovely pool after a day of touring the hill towns of Tuscany. It was a dream come true for us to stay. Highly recommend this villa as it is close to many Tuscan towns but within walking distance to some restaurants and services in the sweet town of Camucia. Can't wait to return! Dinner: Elena made us a wonderful 4 course dinner while we stayed at the Villa. The meal was excellent and was one of the highlights of our stay in Tuscany.

Villa Primula

Villa Primula is a lovely property. It has an very good location as it is possible to stroll into Camucia which has numerous shops, bars and restaurants and the railway station. The pool is a great addition and in a very sunny position. Parking is not a problem. A supermarket is situated 2mins away by car. Electricity was somewhat on the expensive side. Cortona, Arezzo, Florence, Siena, Montepulciano were all very accessible. Altogether a very enjoyable holiday.
