We went to Milwaukee to participate in a sports event (triathlon) and wanted a place convenient to Discovery Center, but also close to restaurants and groceries. The apartment was great. Fully equipped kitchen and facilities. Wonderful hosts. For us it was close enough to East Brady to enjoy being near a restaurant neighborhood, but far enough away so we had a quiet home. We would happily stay again.
Lorry and Michelle were AMAZING! Their property is beautiful. Coming from a small town to a big city, my husband and I were a bit out of our element- they made us completely comfortable and told us all the good spots to check out around town! We loved the fact that there was private parking! We could walk to everything and know our car was safe in its spot! Also for as loud as Brady street is, you would never know inside! We highly recommend!!
We had originally planned this trip as we had tickets to a concert, which naturally canceled due to COVID, but decided to continue with our plans anyway. We wanted to be within walking distance to Brady Street and have off street parking and this property delivered on both counts. With just steps away from so many dining and beverage options, there was no need to use the kitchen but the updates and finishes within this apartment would have certainly made it easy to do so. They even provide a great outdoor space for their guests. Lorry was very easy to work with and we would not hesitate to book this property again the next time we find ourselves needing some Brady Street / Milwaukee relaxation time away. Thanks for a great get-away!
We loved the house and location!! It worked out perfect for our last minute getaway before school starts back up! The house is plenty big to be together or get away when needed. The outside is setup for a great cook out, which we did several nights!! We will be returning. The small beach area keeps the little kids happy and the huge dock kept the teenagers outside fishing and off of their phones, which is a difficult task! LOVED IT!!!!!

About the host

We are 20 year residents of Milwaukee. We raised our 4 kids in the suburbs and then decided to move back to the city. After traveling and staying in VRBO's all over we decided to have our own place to rent.
We have the philosophy of only renting a unit that we would have been happy renting our-self. That is why we have updated the unit in the 4 months we have owned it.
We enjoy meeting travelers and have meet new friends from those who have stayed with us. We live upstairs and will do anything to make your experience special. We are servant owners who want your stay to be like staying in your own home.
Why they chose this property
This is a very unique property and a neighborhood landmark. This building was built in 1891 as a meat market. It has 13 foot ceilings, lots of windows and natural light but all modern amenities. It has off street parking which is rare in a dense urban neighborhood. It is on a tree lined street but in the heart of the city.
It is 4 doors from one of the best areas for entertainment in Milwaukee Brady street loaded with restaurants and bars. Yet for those that just want to chill there is a private brick paver courtyard where you can chill BBQ or let your kids play.
Its less than 1 1/2 miles from Lake Michigan, The Hop Trolly, Summerfest grounds and the Fiserv Forum.
It has off street fenced in parking for 5 cars.
As an owner I have a private rooftop deck with views of the high rises along the lake to the US bank tower downtown.
It is a very rare type of building to have in Milwaukee
What makes this property unique
The best way to sum up its unique benefits is its a special building with a fantastic location.
