About the host
Hosted by Floyd (Chuck) Savageau

We are lifelong residents of Rapid City, SD and the Black Hill area. We know the area well and we absolutely love it! We have frequented the local wineries, hiked the trails, fished the streams/lakes and visited the many local attractions all around the Black Hills.
Why they chose this property
This home was built for us to share the beauty of the Black Hills with visitors to the area. The location is one of a kind! To the North the home is surrounded by National Forest Service Land so the view will always be protected and preserved. Check the reviews of our Home in the Hills listing...#798508 - its right next door!
What makes this property unique
The home has a creek side view from the upper level and the valley below has a small creek winding though it. The deer are ever present and entertaining. I have personally grabbed a rod and landed a trout within minutes in Major Lake which you can see from the patio. The Mickelson Trail lies just beyond the creek which is easily accessible to bikers, joggers or someone looking for a nice easy stroll. The trail is 109 miles long and goes through Mt. Rushmore, Deadwood and much more! This home has all of the views and serenity of the Black Hills in its backyard. Despite it's close vicinity to Hill City you are out of site and have the feeling of being in the heart of the hills.
