Welcome to the "She Shed by the Seashore", your picture-perfect beach retreat in Redington Shores. Just steps from the soft white sand and set in a peaceful neighborhood of single-family homes, this newly renovated two-bedroom, 1 ½ bath cottage blends the charm of an old Florida beach house with the comfort of modern amenities—plus a whole lot of pink!

Our space is fun, feminine, and fabulously stocked—better than any other rental like it. With over 90 perfect 10/10 reviews, we pride ourselves on personalized attention to every guest and an experience that exceeds expectations.

Inside, you’ll find two themed bedrooms: the “Heart Room” with a king bed and private half-bath, and the “Cherry Room” with a queen bed and playful pink touches. The kitchen is fully loaded for serious cooking, or just sipping wine while watching the sunset on the patio. Dine indoors or enjoy a seafood feast with fresh local catch from Nachman’s right across the street—grilled on your own private gas grill.
We’ve thought of everything: beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, a beach cart, coolers, and a new washer/dryer in the laundry room. After a day in the sun, rinse off at the outdoor shower and settle in for a cozy night under the glow of the beachy décor.

First, Mary Beth is AMAZING just like her She Shed. She is the hostess with the mostest! I came down for my birthday this year and she made my stay extra special. I have been coming to the area from NC for over 5 years and I will only be staying here now. She makes it feel like home on the beach. Everything is as advertised but better.. booking, location, parking, beach access, cleanliness is perfect. The She Shed is not only for the girls girl but EVERYONE. We loved it so much that I was already booking our September trip before we checked out to make sure we could stay again.

Beautiful little cottage house

The house was perfect for myself, husband, and two little boys. The house had a pack n play, beach toys, and wagon for use. Being so close to the beach access was also a huge plus. Great walking distance to multiple places. Would definitely stay again!

Clean and convenient

The house is fantastic, airy and very close to the beach. The owner made a great effort to ensure that our check in was smooth and she also checked in day to day. They also has everything you needed for the beach and for a comfortable stay.

We loved this cottage. The location was great. A short walk to the beach. The cottage was immaculate. It had everything we needed. MaryBeth, the owner was very accommodating. She was there for anything that we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect beach get away

We had an amazing beach get away - this is a perfect home away from home, for a family or couples vacation. It’s just a few steps from the (very private and pristine) beach and local bars/restaurants. MaryBeth was an incredible host who provided a seamless experience. Will be making a trip back soon!

Wonderful Trip!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, very nicely decorated, very clean just all around a nice place to stay. MaryBeth was great with communicating with us with check-in etc. We're familiar with that area so our main goal was to be at the beach and the less than 5 minute walk was great! She had all the beach supplies needed for a great stay there! Thank you!

Home Away from Home !

I Rent by the Month, this place was perfect with all the comforts of home. The house is located close to the beach and the surrounding area is safe as well as convenient with restaurants and a wonderful fish store just walking distance from the house. Perfect vacation would stay there again! MaryBeth is a first-class host and a Great person! Highly Recommended

Spring Getaway

The Castaway Cottage is beautifully appointed, it is stocked with many extras, the outside living space is extremely pleasant, the beds are comfortable and it is very clean and well kept. The neighborhood community is friendly and the owner, MaryBeth, is quite hospitable, she is so kind, she is easy to work with and she is very accommodating. The sunsets in the evening were a delight and they were so easily accessible with the beach only a short walk away. My family and I are already planning a repeat stay on account of how much we enjoyed our time at the Castaway Cottage.

Amazing Stay

This was our first VRBO stay. MaryBeth was an among host she has thought of the simplest things like tape. The finer details are noticeable in this cutely decorated little bungalow. The house sits in a quiet little neighborhood with wonderful access to the beach. The area of Redington Shores is beautiful. We had great meals near by. We will be back to the area and will stay here again.

We were absolutely blow away by Mary Beth and Castaway Cottage!! Our first Vrbo experience definitely spoiled us. Everything that we would need during our stay was already there but Mary Beth checked in on us to see if we needed anything! The location of the cottage was perfect for a short walk to the beach and dining. We felt at home and we will be back!!

Our host was amazing and her place was perfect. She was available for questions and checked with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. There were many extras including spices for cooking, well stocked with pans, dishes and every utensil you could need. Even had a welcome basket with snacks and coffee. Very short walk to the beach and great restaurants within walking distance. Great stay!!!

Fabulous place to stay!

Mary Beth was the BEST hostess we've ever encountered. She thought of absolutely everything we would need for our vacation - and then some. The place was well stocked with all you need - from shampoo, soap, sunscreen, paper goods, laundry soap, even condiments. She even left a goodie basket. Her attention to detail was amazing and we will definitely be back again next year. If you're looking for a place that is very close to the beach (just a few houses away), as well as close to local restaurants, this is the place for you. I highly recommend Castaway Cottage!

Fantastic Cottage

Our stay at this adorable cottage was exceptional!! It is tastefully decorated and comes with all of the amenities you could need and then some. We felt right at home for this stay, which is just what my family needed. Loved that the cottage is so close to the beach and what’s even better is the access is a bit private, although public, that there were not the crowds you would encounter at Clearwater or St. Pete beaches. The host, MaryBeth, is very friendly and caring. She even texted mid-stay to see if we needed anything. We all agreed that this is definitely a place we would stay again!

Absolutely Amazing

We had an amazing week at this property. The house is clean and modern and just a short walk to a beautiful beach. The beach was never overcrowded. MaryBeth was very thoughtful in what the property included. She was also just a simple text or call away from any need. The instruction book was very thorough and helpful as well. We plan to stay again soon! Highly recommended!

Best mini vacation ever

The cottage was a great choice for my family! We had a great time just relaxing all weekend at the cottage and down at the beach. We loved that Marybeth had all the beach supplies that we needed and that the beach was just a short walk away. The welcome snacks were definitely a treat after traveling and a quick zoo trip before we got to the cottage. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. It was nice to have the outdoor shower to rinse off in before going into the house after being on the beach. We will definitely be back at some point!

The best beach getaway

My husband and I wanted to surprise my dad with a special beach getaway and MaryBeth made that dream a reality! Her beach cottage was perfect for relaxing, walks to the beach, and enjoying great local restaurants! The home is clean, so walkable, and the perfect retreat. She made the stay extra special for each of us and was so helpful the entire time. If you’re looking for a place to go to leave the stress behind and forget all your worries, this is it. Fantastic!

Our family had a wonderful time in Redington Shores, and we loved this property. The cottage was roomy enough for a small family, immaculate, and steps from the beach and walkable to several restaurants. Marybeth was a great host, and she has thought of everything travelers might need or want on vacation. Snacks, games, laundry, and beach gear…all very appreciated extras/amenities we haven’t had at many other rentals, and they allowed us to pack light. We also spotted a pack’n’play and high chair, which can be lifesavers to families with extra-little ones. (Our medium-little one loved the board games and learned Uno on this trip.) Overall a GREAT place!

Beach Bliss!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! This was our first time using VRBO. MaryBeth was awesome through the entire process and responded quickly to any questions we had, both before I booked and during our stay. The cottage was fully stocked with any thing you could possibly think you would need, plus a lot of litttle extras to make you feel special. The cottage was very clean, tidy and tastefully decorated. The beach is so close and on our stay there weren’t many people in beach chairs, so if you like a little solitude it was perfect. Several great restaurants within walking distance with fun Happy Hours. We loved everything about our stay and look forward to returning next year. We highly recommend staying here. Truly amazing host, beautiful and well stocked beach cottage

The place was clean and well stocked with your everyday needs. There were even bandaids when needed. The host’s communication was amazing and she left a basket full of goodies for our family. The attention to detail and time spent preparing this place is very apparent and was greatly appreciated. My kids absolutely enjoyed the popcorn while watching movies at night. The beach is steps away, the beach access is on the same street! The beach was gorgeous and not crowded, just what our family was looking for. The nights were so peaceful here too. We will definitely be back. Comfortable for two adults, a teen and younger child. Our youngest really enjoyed all the games she keeps in the closet.

Our review

This beachside cottage is a perfect spot for a beachside stay. The owner/manager Marybeth was very communicative and easy to work with. She also had the place really well stocked with toiletries, towels, kitchen supplies, etc., even beach toys for the kids which meant less errands for us to do. As mentioned the beach is a very short walk and the stretch of beach it’s on is one of the more quiet spots we were at despite the beach itself being really beautiful. It’s also right on the main road so accessing other beaches, parks and other attractions is easy. Our family had a great time during our stay and this place was a big factor as to why and even our family members from the area came to visit commented and enjoyed how nice the place was. Marybeth is very considerate and is doing good work with this property and we would highly recommend.
