This 4 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath home is the perfect backdrop to the memories you will make on your York Beach vacation. A sparkling clean home with a kitchen opened to dining area and comfortable living room (with window a/c). This home is also located on a quiet private road off another quiet private road. You will have great outdoor space with privacy to set up shop for playing lawn games, eating al fresco, roasting marshmallows or simply enjoying the 3 seasons porch. All while still hearing the waves crash upon the ocean shore (if there aren’t too many a/cs on).

It's a perfect place for a family. Everyone gets their own room, there's plenty of space in the enclosed porch to relax, and it's a short walk to the beach. You can't go wrong!

Had a perfect vacation staying in the VRBO. The home ia located in a great spot and is nice & roomy with 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. It easily accomodated a family of 6. The kids had a blast with the toys available in the outdoor shed. Short Sands beach and the town of Short Sands was an easy walk from the home. We hope to return soon!

Great beach vacation

We stayed here for my sons 6th birthday to spend time at the beach. We loved the house and the town, and had a few great beach days in between cloudy weather. Would definitely recommend this property!

Been going to York since I was a kid and been in a variety of places. Tried Kevin and Amy's and it was a great fit. Short walk to the beach and town make it perfectly situated for families. Very highly recommended!!

As in the past everything was perfect! The owners thought of everything. It was very clean and it felt like home. We couldn’t get a better location. You park the car for the week and can walk everywhere from the house. My family loves your home.The screened porch and the outdoor shower are our favorite places at the house. I hope we can continue to return each year!

The house is great! Great location and wonderful amenities! Everything you need is there waiting for you - from baby gear to paper products, and all the kitchen appliances/dishes/glasses… even a blender! We all enjoyed our week so much!

This place is perfect for us. Really quiet and safe for the children (it's on a private dirt road away from the crowds) but a 5-10 minutes walk will bring you to short sands beach or long sand beach, your choice ! The house is super comfortable and everything is there for families. We will be back !

Would go back again and again

Such an ideal location, great house, so well furnished. We were 10 and all had an amazing stay. The outdoor living - the screened porch/outdoor shower/firepit/grass area… - was where we spent most of our time, and the short walk to the beach was pleasant. Amy was fast to respond and very helpful. Strongly recommend and would go back!

GREAT VACATION HOME!

We have rented many homes, and we loved that this rental provided all our essentials coffee filters, toilet paper, soap in the restrooms and kitchen, and garbage bags, to name a few, were there and waiting for us, so we could immediately go the beach. This was so thoughtful of them. We also loved the little touches of the fire pit with wood, toys for our grandson, and the outdoor shower! It was glorious!

Perfect Location!

A fun time was had by all! This house could not have been in a better location- literally between 2 sands! Long Sands beach, with its packed sand, was perfect for evening walks, reading and playing some volleyball. Short Sands beach had sun, sand, and a nice breeze- a perfect beach day. And how many people can say they WALKED to the zoo?! Everything less than 10 minutes away. Plenty of room for all at the house. Nice quiet neighborhood. Would def stay again!

More Than Expected

The house was spacious. Providing comfort for 4 adults, a preteen and a teenager. All amenities of home were available, no need to pack anything except your clothing and the washer/dryer was a major us. The home's location is in a quiet neighborhood with an easy 5 minute walk to Long Sands Beach and +/-7 minutes to Short Sands Beach the York Beach downtown area for dining, arcade fun and souvenirs. The family enjoyed are stay and have booked for next year.

Perfect beach getaway

This house was a great location for a weeklong getaway to the beach! We stayed with our kiddos and the house was perfect. The kid stuff that was available made traveling with littles a breeze and I was so thankful for that! The walk to the beach was great and my kids loved getting to walk to get ice cream and to Long Sands General Store for breakfast sandwiches. The outdoor shower stole the show! So perfect after a day at the beach! Amy was so great to work with and was so responsive when I had questions during our trip. My kids are already talking about next year!

Great House!

Our time at York Beach was excellent, due primarily to our stay here. I was surprised how spacious the house is, as it seemed smaller in the photos! It is pretty close to the beach (I would say less than a 10 minute walk) and is so private and quiet, which was awesome. The screened porch was a highlight, as was the air conditioning, which many houses at York Beach don’t have. Any amenities that we would want or need were included, which made the trip much easier. To demonstrate how great the owners of the house are, they gave us a discount because the landscapers showed up to do some extensive work while we were there, which wasn’t supposed to occur until the following week. It wasn’t much of a bother to us but the fact that they proactively reached out to us to both (unnecessarily) apologize and provide a discount demonstrates how much they want their guests to enjoy their stay. All in all, a great experience and we would absolutely recommend staying here.

My husband and I live with our 2 young kids (6 and 4) north of Boston. I grew up in the Greater Boston area and my husband grew up in Northern Indiana. We met while we were both living in San Francisco and came back to the Boston area in 2014 to build a family together.

Why they chose this property

I promise it's more than the fact that York is our last name... :)

Since my husband and I met, we have spent summers up in York, ME. When we decided that we wanted to invest in a second home in the area, we were looking for the perfect place for our family and other families as well. When we found this house, we felt as if we hit the jackpot. It's on a very quiet road that provides a space for our kids to go and play outside with no fear of traffic. And while it's on this quiet road, it's also a short walk to the beaches and the downtown area. It really is the best of both worlds.

What makes this property unique

The screened in porch is amazing. I love sitting out there at night, plugging in the strung lights and playing a game with family and friends while listening to the waves crash in the distance. It's also my happy place in the morning to sip on a cup of coffee before all the chaos of the day begins.

The outdoor shower is another delight. With a waterfall shower head and a hand held shower head to help wash off the sand, it is everything we hoped it would be!
