Perfect location right in the heart of Colmar. Within walking distance of museums, Petit Venice and loads of shops. Host was responsive and helpful. We were able to leave our bags both before check-in and after checkout, giving us more time to explore. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans etc, but no condiments (oil, vinegar, herbs etc) which would have been a nice addition. Overall, a great stay and a comfy bed!
This was a great place to stay! Right in the middle of EVERYTHING! It was really nice to open the windows and look out on something from the middle ages. We were immersed in the culture! The room was clean and pretty comfy. We didn't use all the appliances, but the ones we used worked perfectly. The only issues that we had was the fact that there were no small facial cloths to use in the bathroom. Not a big deal, but it would have helped. We would have liked to have tissues as well. I think the culture in Europe is to not have a top sheet for the bed. All we had was the comforter/duvet and when there is no air conditioning, it can get a little stuffy this time of year. Opening the windows helped considerably. However, people start moving around outside in that location pretty early in the morning and dragging a trash dumpster around on cobblestone streets can be really loud! Also, deliveries start coming and the "beeping" of truck can get annoying quickly. The only other thing was that the entry control panel to the building is a little unresponsive at times. All that being said, I would definitely stay here again!
Manque de précision sur l'accès au gîte avec une voiture pour déposer les bagages et sur l'accès au parking voiture (les GPS indiquent zone piétonne, donc à priori interdite aux voitures)
