Your perfect mountain retreat in Telluride,ideal for your ski vacation or to enjoy the multitude of outdoor,musical and cultural activities over summer.

Located among the ski slopes of Telluride's Mountain Village amidst aspens and fir trees and handcrafted in timber with 4 bedrooms, a large loft, games room and 4 and a half bathrooms, this fantastic family home combines comfort with luxury in a very convenient location.In winter you can ski out to the Double Cabin ski trail which is also just an easy 120 yard walk away. When the famous Colorado snow melts away the supermarket, liquor store and gondola are a very short walk away.

Owned by well travelled Australians who think Telluride provides the best overall skiing experience in the world providing runs for all standards from beginner to extreme skier or boarder, every effort has been made to ensure that 'EUREKA' will be your home away from home.

All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms and flatscreen cable tv. The home has 2 master suites with king beds.One has a steam shower and deep soaker tub. The other master suite has a shower,soaker tub and its own gas fireplace.The 2 guest rooms can be set up as kings or twins depending on your needs. The flexible bedding configuration makes the home ideal for 4 couples or 2 families with children. Each bedroom with its own attached bathroom means no lines to get into the bathroom.

Upstairs the very private and large loft has a very comfortable double sleeper lounge when you are not watching cable tv or streaming on the big screen .It is also an ideal area for the kids with retro denim beanbags.

Children and adults alike can enjoy the 7 foot pool table in the loft games room and the large hot tub on the back deck.

The home has spectacular views of the San Sophia Mountains that can be enjoyed from many rooms in the home or while you relax in the hot tub.

No need to bring your car as Mountain Village provides a free door to door Dial a Ride which can take you to shops ,restaurants,the supermarket and liquor store and the gondola. The Mountain Village and the town of Telluride are connected by a free gondola, public transport at its best!

In summer, enjoy all Telluride has to offer in scenery, outdoor activities,hiking,4x4 trails to old mining ruins, fantastic mountain biking options and Telluride's large number of festivals.
The word "Eureka"became an indelible part of the history of Australian democracy when gold miners revolted against petty officialdom at the Eureka Stockade in the Victorian goldfields in 1854.
"Eureka "'has long been associated with gold.Derived from a Greek word meaning "I have found it" it was made famous when uttered by Archimedes at the time he discovered a means of measuring the density and thus the purity of gold.In more recent times it has become the exclamation of prospectors lucky enough to strike it rich.

Despite the fear of Covid we managed to have a wonderful time in Telluride. The house was well appointed, warm and easy to enjoy. We especially loved end of the day soaks in the hot tub looking at the mountains.

Perfect View

Our two families had an amazing stay at Eureka! From morning mimosas in the gorgeous window seat to evenings in the hot tub, this property is amazing. Short walk to the gondola and lots of amazing trails. Don’t miss the Bear Creek hike, the wonderful brew pubs or dinner at Talay! We hope to return one day.

Family retreat

This house was perfect for a family vacation with 2 families and 3 small kids. The house is lovely and has a great kitchen for cooking large meals. We spent a lot of time just playing on the deck. It is a fun 3 minute walk to the gondola down a cute trail. We would definitely stay there again for our next trip to Telluride.

well appointed home and the kitchen had everything you needed and then some. Plenty of room for family and friends. Ski out was interesting. ski in was about 150 yards... Expensive time of year to stay. Telluride is a great town and great ski Mountain.

Our multi-age group had a marvelous time in this unique property. The view from the deck is stunning, even with rooftops of neighboring houses below. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Eureka… this home is a great find!

Perfect Telluride Mountain House!

Everything about this house was perfect! The bedrooms all have their own bathrooms, the upstairs area was a great hangout area for our kids and the large deck had amazing views. The location of the house is ideal - short walk to the gondola and market. We used dial-a-ride at night which was super easy. John and Catherine were wonderful hosts! We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect family getaway!

It was a pleasure to work with Jon and the home is absolutely amazing. We had multiple families with 9 people. The detailed instructions shared made our trip a breeze. The location was perfect, rave reviews from the skiers in the group on the ski in ski out access. All age groups enjoyed the hot tub and pool table! We used Dial a ride often to get to the gondola and town. Perfect location and simple access to so many things.

Good space for families to spread out but also plenty of room to gather in the main area. Awesome deck and hot tub. Perfect location with great views and a few minutes to gondola and grocery store. Beautiful views from a lovely home

The views from the living room are incredible!The house was beautiful with a very flexible sleeping arrangements. The house is filled with higher-end appliances and features that made for a comfortable stay.We encountered a problem with oven on our stay, but the owner made arrangements for a toaster oven until the oven could be repaired. Problems arise, it's how they're dealt with that is the difference.I highly recomend this property.

Christmas 2024-Telluride

The owners have for a wonderful job in creating a great space for a large family gathering. Each of our adult couples has their own space, own bathrooms and the house had plenty of great space to gather. The furnishings and decor was well done and comfortable. The access to Mountain Village and downtown Telluride was great. Skiing was awesome and everyone loved the trip/experience! Only negative was is snowed 4” the morning we checked out but that will just make us want to come back again. Great hosts, great home, great memories!

The home is beautiful! The ski in ski out option was very convenient. Awesome kitchen/dining/living space for post ski hang outs. Enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub (once working appropriately). We did have a few issues that were addressed, although communication and follow up with the property manager was challenging. We contacted the home owner during the experience to notify him and he was responsive.

Perfect Location!

Very pleased with our stay at the Eureka home in Mountain Village. My friends and I attended a wedding at the San Sophia Overlook and this was perfect for us! It was a short walk from the Market and the Gondola, which was very convenient. We also drove into Telluride, which didn't take long at all. It was clean and the bedrooms were set up for our needs upon arrival. The hot tub did stop working while we were there, but the owner was prompt to respond to our emails. My friends and I agreed that we would absolutely stay again!

Amazing Property!!

The Eureka was everything and more than we expected. Our party was three couples, we had three king beds and our own baths. The house was beautiful and the kitchen was very well equipped. We had a chef come in and cook dinner for us and the kitchen had everything she needed to make our dinner experience amazing. The location is very good. Convenient to the gondola and the grocery store. Would definitely stay at Eureka again. John and Catherine were great hosts. And have created a very home like feel for their guests. The owners of Eureka are John and Catherine Mcintyre. We are Australians who live in Thredbo ,a small ski village in the Snowy Mountains.Yes it does snow in Australia!
We owned a boutique property management company that looked after 5 star ski chalets for 12 years so we are well aware of what makes a great holiday.
we had been visiting Telluride for more than 15 years before we found the perfect second home.

Telluride is truly one of the most beautiful places on earth.It is also a fabulous place to ski and to vacation.We have travelled extensively both summer and winter to many destinations around the world and Telluride was the only place outside Australia that really feels like home to us.

Our aim is to let our guests experience the same level of relaxation and enjoyment that we experience every time we visit.
