Excellent communication by the host regarding check in and garage parking, which included helpful pictures! The apartment was very spacious and having a washer AND dryer after three weeks of travel, was a real perk! A package of dry pasta, pasta sauce, and a couple of cold beverages made our stay perfect. We took advantage of the covered patio area for a relaxing dinner on our last night. The place was very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend and stay here again if in the area.

Short Stay in Carcassonne

Lovely property fitting so much into a seemingly small space. Has everything you would want in a city property with proximity to all Carcassonne has to offer. The private garage was a bonus. Thank you.

Lovely stay, would recommend

Excellent communication from owner from time of booking Good value property, within quiet location, within walking distance of both the new and old parts of town, plenty of lovely restaurants and bars Spotless with everything needed for our stay in Carcassonne, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer and a fully fitted small kitchen, 2 Smart TV’s. The roof terrace was an added bonus with a couple of loungers and large parasol for shade. We would recommend Thank you for a lovely stay

Perfect apartment

The apartment is located in a quiet area but within a few minutes of the city. Everything you need is available and all very clean. Easy check in and hosts very quick to reply to messages. Thanks!

Ideal Situation

A brilliant property for exploring Carcassonne - we just left the car in the garage provided as everything was within easy walking distance. The apartment was modern, well finished and had good outside space considering its city centre location. The host information was very thorough.

We really enjoyed our stay here. In the kitchen there was every appliance you could wish for. The air conditioning was efficient and really necessary. We ate all our meals on the terrace and shade was available throughout the day.The bed was very comfortable and having two bathrooms was very convenient. In general it was very quiet and nicely placed for a 10 minute walk into town and a boulangerie was only a few minutes walk away as was a Carrefour.The secure parking was a huge boon as everything seems to be paid parking in Carcassonne.We would highly recommend this place.

We had a truly wonderful stay at House Châteaudun in Carcassonne. We made the booking after unfortunately being let down by two other hosts, and Stéphane immediately put our minds at ease that it would be third time lucky! The flat was super clean and comfortable, and had all you needed for your stay. The outdoor terrace is very private, and the location was quiet and within walking distance of the city centre with lots of shops and restaurants. The check in process was very simple and easy, and Stéphane's communications were always speedy, professional and very helpful. It was an incredibly beautiful and special trip for us, and we'll definitely be looking to stay in the flat again the next time we're in Carcassonne. Thank you so much Stéphane!

Great location, very well-equipped. Ideal base for a week.

A great base for staying in Carcassonne. Only a mile to the heart of the city with lots to see and do, eat and drink very close by. 5 minute walk to the Canal du Midi - ideal for running and cycling. The flat is very well-equipped - washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, iron, hob & oven. The air con was much appreciated in a week where it hit 40 degrees! Garage parking meant the car was safe and cool. The owners were very helpful, checking that all was well and recommending local restaurants. Highly recommended in every aspect.

This a well situated flat. It is an easy walk into town and a comfortable one to the Medieval City. The garage parking is a big plus and the air conditioning and ceiling fans make for being comfortable even in a heatwave. The kitchen is small but very well equipped and the terrace is well shaded and pleasant. Above all, the hosts Stéphane and Ann-Laure really want to make you welcome and act promptly to sort out any problems. Despite it being France's most intense heatwave so far this century, we were always cool enough in the flat and as there were only 2 of us, it was never crowded.

Fabulous apartment

Stephane has done a brilliant job in planning and specifying this apartment. It comprehensively and cleverly incorporates everything you may need as a traveller. Very clean and with all the utensils and facilities in the right place. As a host he is top notch, quickly replying to any questions and happy to advise on restaurants etc, as well as proactively making contact to check all is ok.A perfect base for exploring Carcassonne and the surrounding area. If I could give it 6 stars I would. As well as the old city we drove out to visit the grotto at Limousis, which was spectacular

Perfect city apartment

It is dIfficult to find the worlds to describe the accommodation, as it is decidedly a cut above the rest. It is a beautiful and very well thought through apartment with private balcony and very effective aircon throughout. All furniture and equipment was very up to date and in immaculate condition. Stéphan was a fantastic host, he gave us all the information we needed and was always ready to answer any questions but in a totally non-invasive way. The parking was an amazing bonus in such a busy city and also afforded us secure storage for our bikes. The surrounding area had loads to offer, Carcassonne has so much going on throughout the summer and there are great bike rides along the canal with lovely towns to stop off in. We would readily come back to this apartment the next time we are in the area

We got to host Grahame and Hazel while they discovered the beautiful area of Carcassonne. They were respectful, friendly and peaceful guests. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to welcome great guests. They looked after our property extremely well. We would be very happy to host them again in the future!

Très propre et très bien équipé à tous les niveaux (clim, cuisine, lave-linge... ) Le garage est vraiment un plus. Dommage que la seconde chambre soit en enfilade mais les 2 SDB et WC sont aussi des points hyper positifs. Hôte très sympathique

Stéphane et sa conjointe ont été des hôtes hors-pair. Lorsqu'on avait une question, on leur envoyait un texto sur l'appartement ou la ville et ses environs et immanquablement, on recevait la réponse quelques minutes plus tard, même s'ils étaient à l'extérieur de la ville. Et même s'ils habitent l'appartement d'à côté, ils ont toujours respecté notre intimité. Notre appartement était fidèle à la description fournie. Tout y était, des accessoires de cuisine aux articles de literie. Ils avaient même prévu un sac de pâte et un contenant de sauce tomates pour notre premier repas. Et c'est exactement ce dont on avait besoin. Et il y avait même une bonne bouteille de vin Ce sont là de simples détails, mais c'est souvent ce qui fait la différence entre un séjour ordinaire et un séjour remarquable. En terminant, nous qui étions habitués depuis deux semaines à Aix à un stationnement intérieur extrêmement difficile à négocier, nous avons grandement apprécié l'énorme garage juste au-dessous de l'appartement. Si le destin veut que nous retournions un jour à Carcassonne, j'espère que Stéphane et sa conjointe seront encore là pour nous accueillir.

Séjour parfait

Après une arrivée surprenante dans une route en cul de sac avec peu de places pour se garer nous avons été tout de suite guidé par les indications du propriétaire et avons eu accès au parking pour découvrir un logement avec tout ce que nous attendions et un confort à toute épreuve. Même au château de Carcassonne ils ne sont pas équipés comme ça.... Blagues mises à part: deux chambres, deux salles de bains, climatisation et ventilateurs au plafond partout et une belle terrasse individuelle pour prendre les repas ou se reposer. J'ai regretté le fait de ne jamais voir le propriétaire mais nos échanges par message ont toujours été rapides, courtois et efficaces. J'aurais voulu le remercier de vive voix de cette semaine mais l'avantage de la boîte à clés est aussi que nous n'ayons eu aucune pression horaire pour l'arrivée et le départ. En général, on prend un RDV et si on a 5/10 minutes de retard (acceptable en vacances) je commence à m'énerver alors que là nous avons fait tout ce que nous voulions sans pression. Un superbe souvenir et si je dois retourner à Carcassonne je ne chercherai pas d'autre point de chute.

Cozy, comfortable, well-equipped and convenient

We loved this place!!! In addition, the hosts could not have been sweeter or more accomodating. We are two couples with a car who booked a last minute stay here. The price was very affordable compared to hotels in the area. What a great surprise that it was perfect in almost every way. We only stayed a few days, but would have been happy in this place for weeks. The beds were comfortable and the entire place was clean with well-thought out amenities. The master bedroom is a very private ensuite. The ONLY caution about the apartment is that the second bedroom is not as private (but it does have a separate bathroom and shower that are very nice). There is an outdoor dining area, indoor dining /lounging area, washer/dryer in the unit and a spacious private garage shared only with the owner. We would definitely stay here again.

Parfait! Excellent séjour

Très bel appartement rénové avec goût, situé à 2 pas de la Bastide. Équipement plus que parfait et propriétaire très attentionné toujours prêt à nous aider, hyper disponible. Spacieux pour 4 et très confortable, jolie terrasse et le parking est un vrai +. En résumé: séjour au top! Nous recommandons+++
