Amazing Retreat: 55 acres of Nature + Pool+ Serenity

COME AND ENJOY NATURE AND SERENITY AT ITS BEST ON A 55 ACRE PARK-LIKE FARM. Hi, we are Tom & Lindy and we love creating beautiful one-of-a-kind indoor and outdoor spaces for ourselves to enjoy that we also let others enjoy through VRBO. My background is in architecture and creating and building beautiful spaces and Lindy’s background is in international furniture and interior design.

HERE ON OUR 55 ACRE PARK-LIKE COUNTRY ESTATE FARM WE HAVE CREATED AN OASIS FOR FAMILIES OR CLOSE FRIENDS TO COME SPEND TIME TOGETHER IMMERSED IN NATURE IN A BEAUTIFUL AND SERENE SETTING.

Our guests on our park-like country estate enjoy a self contained 4100sf guest area (the 4100sf guest area we rent is a separate part of our 7000sf farm estate home and has its own private entries, a large and very well equipped kitchen & open concept dining area, a media room, great room and 6 bedrooms & 6-1/2 bathrooms etc). Lindy and I have our own separate 2900 sf self contained owners quarters so there are no shared spaces and the way the exterior walls of the guest area and the huge guest area screen porch are angled the pool area is very private and is for guests only. Lindy and I travel a lot and are often staying at one of our other two homes but if we do happen to be staying at the farm ourselves you when you visit the farm you will likely not see us unless we are picking up the trash from your outdoor cans or cleaning the pool or watering the outdoor flowers or out riding our mountain bikes or walking our dogs. We have two very friendly dogs that occasionally might bark but in 6 years of renting our home only 2 guests have ever said hearing our dogs or Lindy and I next door has bothered them but I am mentioning that since even though we are often staying at one of our other two homes when we rent our farm, we do not guarantee that we will not be your next-door neighbor when you are here, but we are both friendly and thoughtful neighbors and if we are here, we’ll be very respectful of your privacy. What we want most is for you to do whatever your ideal vision of staying on our park-like farm is, whether it is to come here and kick back and relax and take yourself out of gear or whether it is to come here and kick yourself into gear and crank up your music and have a good time (as long as any alcohol you enjoy during having a good time is SERVED AND CONSUMED RESPONSIBLY since we do not allow any over-severing or over-consumption of alcohol to occur on our property and as long as any overly loud music is cranked up indoors and not cranked up overly loud outdoors since overly loud outdoor sound can travel to our neighbors here in the country).

One of the outdoor highlights for you is your huge private salt water pool and the hot tub and fire pit. You can lounge around your private pool and enjoy beautiful views out over the pasture at the same time!

If anyone in your group likes to fish we have some elusive and very challenging to catch bass (up to 15 pounds) in the pond as well as smaller bass that are a lot easier to catch.

Want to go for a walk or run? Our private (but shared with a handful of other homes) roads and the trail through the woods mean you will enjoy a walk or run surrounded by nature.

Moving from what the outdoors is like to the indoors, on the first story of your three story accommodations you have a beautiful open concept kitchen/dining area with 10’ ceilings and leathered granite counter tops and vaulted ceiling in your dining area overlooking your oversized private pool and the rear pasture and pond. Your first floor Queen bedroom suite with attached bath is not barrier free for anyone with mobility issues since it has four exterior steps and it is also not directly connected to the rest of your first floor so is not ideal for anyone with mobility issues in that regard also but it works great for anyone in your group that wants a little bit of autonomy and privacy from the rest of the group.

Two King Suites and a Queen suite and the guest laundry room with large front-loading washer and dryer along with TWO private living rooms are on your second story. One of your living areas is a media room with a 70 inch flat screen TV.

On your third story is a King bedroom suite and a Twin over Queen bedroom with a one of a kind live edge bunk bed for a total of 6 guest bedrooms.

Your large and PRIVATE POOL AREA is sequestered by the angles and offsets in the home design and located well away from the owner’s private area (the owners private area is at the opposite end of the estate sized home from the private pool for guests and of course has its own private entries and porches and its own hot tub and parking area) which means you have privacy even when you are in your pool or hot tub or anywhere in the guest accommodations. Your pool area also has a large fire pit and huge curved outdoor sofa and there will be firewood and a "starter log" ready for you to light each night during your stay.

Your large screened porch overlooks the pool and you are welcome to roam the trail through the woods and roam the pastures behind or in front of the house so bring your hiking boots and if you are a bike-rider bring your mountain bikes (the kind you pedal since we do not allow motorized vehicles on our trails). There is gravel on some of the farm roads so bikes with skinny tires only work well on the mile plus of paved private roads and mountain bikes are recommended for the gravel road section of our private roads and for the trail through the woods.

Hunting or the discharge of firearms on the country estate farm is not permitted for liability reasons and to preserve the peace and quiet and IF ANYONE IN YOUR GROUP HAS FIREARMS THEY MUST BE LEFT LOCKED IN THEIR VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES.

Here is a more detailed description of some of the key guest areas inside the home: Your dining/kitchen area has a table that seats 8 and bar/island that seats 5. There is a live edge table next to the kitchen area on the screen porch that seats 3 as well as outdoor seating and tables at the adjacent pool patio. The open concept dining area adjoining the kitchen has lots of glass overlooking the pool and rear pasture and pond.

In addition to the leathered granite counter tops your kitchen has a side by side stainless steel refrigerator and stainless steel range, a built-in microwave, dishwasher, and designer kitchen cabinets and island. It is very nice and is well-stocked and has everything you need to do some serious cooking.

Your informal second story guest living area has an Italian leather and fabric L-shaped sectional sofa and comfy chairs and a game table. Your large media room at the opposite end of your second story has a 70" high-end state of the art Samsung QLED TV for Netflix and Prime etc. and is sequestered in the section of the guest area most suited for being able to watch movies without disturbing other folks in your group who may be in their bedrooms or in the other living area.

Your accommodations are very pet friendly for WELL-BEHAVED 100% house-trained dogs only. Out of deference to guests who may have cat allergies, WE DO NOT ALLOW CATS. There is a $50 pet fee for each dog and you are responsible for damages if your dog damages anything. Since VRBO only collects a pet fee for us on your first dog PLEASE PLAN TO PAY YOUR PET FEE ON ADDITIONAL DOGS UPON ARRIVAL.
