About this property
Across the Universe - Broken Bow/Hochatown- 3bd
Across the Universe, a 2019 cabin blending modern amenities with the tranquility of nature. Enjoy spacious living with forest views, an expansive deck, a 7-person hot tub, fire pit, and a pet friendly environment. Ideal for family getaways and adventures in the nearby town.
Get ready to travel Across the Universe… Enjoy the natural beauty and peacefulness of the woods without sacrificing any of today’s modern conveniences. This newly constructed 2019 cabin offers both privacy and every amenity imaginable!
The front porch invites you into an open-floor-plan living area with high ceilings and a towering gas fireplace. Floor-to-ceiling windows on three walls provide generous natural light and stunning views of the surrounding forest. The dining area and kitchen are gorgeous and well-stocked – perfect for preparing meals and enjoying time with family and friends.
Head out back through the French doors onto the enormous elevated covered deck that sits among the trees. Here you’ll appreciate breathtaking forest views. The deck features a beautiful stone fireplace, 55 inch 4k Smart TV, gas grill, and plenty of dining space and patio seating. It’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the wooded breeze.
A few steps down, nestled amid the soaring pine trees, is another private covered deck– this one with a 7-person hot tub!
A set of outdoor stairs (and a tube slide!) lead down to the fire pit, hammock, and yard games with plenty of space for all your guests. The property is large with a shallow creek at the bottom of the hill and ample space for hiking and exploring. The fire pit is perfect for evening gatherings and s’mores.
The home has TWO master suites on the main level, each with a king size bed, 4k Smart TV, private bathroom, and large walk-in shower. Comfy bedding is provided and makes for a fantastic night’s sleep.
Upstairs is a loft/media room that doubles as a private bedroom when the pocket door closes off the space from the rest of the cabin. Plop down on the large sofa, day bed, or comfy bean bag chairs to enjoy games or to watch a movie on another 4K Smart TV & DVD player. The day bed folds out to a king size bed and the room connects to a full bathroom with a beautifully tiled tub and shower combo.
Adjacent to the loft room is a bunk room that sleeps six. The six twin size bunk beds are easily accessible and comfortable for children and adults alike.
Once you’ve settled in Across the Universe, you’ll likely never want to leave; but if you’re feeling adventurous, town is minutes away and offers yummy food and fun activities: Restaurants, Coffee Shops, Ice Cream, Brewery, Distillery, Winery, Shopping, Escape Room, Live Music, Golf Course, Mini Golf, Go Carts, Petting Zoo, ATV Rentals, a Marina, Fly Fishing, Bass Fishing, Boat Rentals, Paddle Board Rentals, Paddle Boat Rentals, Kayaking, Beach Swimming, Horseback Riding, Playgrounds, Hiking Trails, Broken Bow Lake and Beaver’s Bend State Park.
Truly, it doesn’t get any better than this!

Located in the heart of Kiamichi country lies the incomparable splendor of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Beaver’s Bend State Park, the Ouachita National Forest and the Kiamichi Mountains, this is the place to lose yourself in hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing. The place to find yourself while surrounded by tall pines, crisp rivers and clean mountain air. The place to make memories that you will draw on for a lifetime.
The Beavers’ Bend / Hochatown area does not have public transportation. There is at this time a private ride share company that will pick up and drop off between most cabins and area attractions, restaurants, shopping, etc. There is currently not any Uber or Lyft options.
All cabins located in the Hochatown area are 5 to 15 minutes from most destinations around the lake and park. This of course depends on traffic. Summer and other peak holidays experience higher traffic, typically Fridays after 2pm and Saturdays between 10am and 4pm. Offpeak weekends and midweek stays should expect shorter traffic times
Cabins located further north of Hochatown are an additional 15 to 30 minutes from the Hochatown area. This additional distance should not be impacted by traffic.
The park and lake itself are free to enter, there is however a fee to park.
During peak periods you should plan on a wait at most restaurants.
