I would love to say anything horrible to keep this little treasure all to myself but I just can’t do that. This was our second stay at this location and we have decided this is only place we will wanna stay when visiting. Our hosts were amazing and easily reached, the location is perfect to be away from everything but close enough to enjoy everything.
If your looking for a place thats away from it all then this the place. At night when its cool sitting at the fire pit or on porch. Has everything you need in one place.
We only stayed for about 36 hours on our way home from the ocean. It was a nice change to stay in such a unique place - a barn! It was nicely decorated. We have stayed many times in the area before but not necessarily in this part of town. The only downfall was the no cell service but we knew to expect that. We had bear visitors in our yard & on the porch which was very cool. The kids loved the air hockey table. Owners were so responsive,
We enjoyed our stay very much ! Loved the location we needed the cabin (feel) . My spouse and I needed quiet and silence and no WiFi signal was ok with us ! If you are someone who needs it I don’t recommend this place for you . But if you need solace like we did then this is the perfect place ! We loved everything! The only thing I found a little disappointing was the mattress was a little firm , but all in all wonderful
Stay !
This property was bigger than I thought and my family enjoyed their stay. My only issue was with internet which was pretty good during first couple of days and then throttled. It wasn't because of cloudy weather as my phone was done for whereas my wife's identical phone still had pretty good connectivity. Anyway, it would have been nice to know that ahead of time so I wouldn't reach whatever data limit was set.

Not so clean
This property could have great potential but unfortunately we were a little disappointed that it was not very clean. The front entrance rug was dirty and hadn’t been vacuumed, The bathroom was very dusty and had bugs around the floors. Toilet wasn’t clean. There was a very small supply of wash rags & towels. The outdoor area could use some better seating or nice furniture. We typically use these type of rentals because they are usually cleaner and more private than your average hotel. The owner definitely needs to adjust these expensive cleaning fees since it wasn’t provided to us.
Great place to enjoy the quiet beauty. A little rough not having any signal for WiFi but knew that going in. Host was helpful and great with communicating. If you are someone who gets up at night to go to bathroom, this may not be for you as bathroom is downstairs.
My boyfriend and I went for his birthday & we definitely enjoyed ourselves. It’s far away enough to enjoy the “cabin feel” & still close enough to enjoy everything the city has to offer.
The cabin is in a secluded spot with beautiful scenery and tranquility. The downstairs had a difficult time heating up, so pack some slippers and cozy pajamas lol. I would stay here again, as you can see that the owner is trying to fix the chill downstairs. If renting outside the winter months, I am sure you will have no complaints with the cabin or accommodations. Thank you for having us.

About the host
Hosted by Matthew
We’re a family of four — husband, wife, two daughters — plus our sweet Jack Russell. We fell in love with the Smokies years ago, and this cabin became our family’s happy place to slow down, play, and reconnect. When we can’t be here, we love sharing it with guests who appreciate the mountains, the community, and the simple joy of being together. -Matt & Diana
