Very neat historic home. Plenty of rooms and places to park. Very close to shopping and dining. Host was very wonderful. Great communication! Would recommend this home!
This house is clean, comfortable and relatively close to most things. Our family enjoyed the outside dining with the view of the hills and history. Ed made things so easy and was helpful our whole trip. If you’re coming to the area with a large group or even a few this home is perfect!

We are glad you enjoyed your time in the Black Hills! Thank you again for taking great care of the historic home.
Really wonderful property. We’ve stayed at a lot of properties, and this house was at the top in terms of cleanliness, well appointed (nice towels, comfy sheets, kitchen equipment, lots of smaller details, etc) and the host was hands down the most responsive host I’ve ever had. Great property, we had a family of 6 and we underutilized its occupancy, which comfortably accommodates 11 depending on the group/family makeup. and the kids thought it was the coolest ever - especially the rooftop deck. Recommend strongly!
Cute property close to Deadwood, not far from Sturgis
We loved the property, super cute and clean house. Ed was very accommodating. Everything we needed was there. Lead is a cute town very close to Deadwood. We enjoyed our stay and if ever back in the area we will definitely stay again.

Thank you for taking great care of things. Travel safe!
The house was perfect and very spacious. Lots of dishes, silverware, pots and pans. Deck above the garage was nice place to enjoy your friends company. I would recommend this place to everyone and we will rent it again!
My husband and I along with a couple family members and a couple of friends stayed here on a trip we were doing for some utv riding in the black hills. This house was super clean, the bathrooms were nice, the beds were great and the whole setup was super good. The owners communication was really good, always answering any questions. I would 100% stay here again.

Very nice house, but the roads are terrible if you’re riding a motorcycle

Glad you enjoyed things! Unfortunately, the city of lead has undergone a six month sewer line overhaul resulting in challenges in the roadway. Good news…will be complete soon :)
The only thing I didn’t like was the TV. It was not live. The voice and picture were not together.

Linda:
Thank you for staying and taking care of our home. We chose internet based TV which limits the live television offerings, but affords endless on demand programming. We hope to have you guys stay on your next trip to the hills.
Thanks again!

Ed was a great host. The house fit 10 comfortably & was very accommodating. We were so happy to have window units to keep us cool. The front porch back deck were great spots to have our outdoor bbq and games. We loved being able to walk to Bobs Silver Star. The kitchen was great for handling our group dinners. Getting 6 bikes and a trailer on the property was perfect!

We’re glad you guys enjoyed the space. Thanks for taking great care of things!
We had a great stay. We were a party of 9 from 9 to 70 years old. The house was located perfect to take in everything. Our youngest party member ran around the house yelling " we are rich" when we first arrived, the kids were really taken with the place. We had a hard time getting any of the kids to help unload anything until they explored the whole house. It perfectly accommodated us all. We even asked for an extra day, but another group was already set to come in after us. Thank you again for letting us stay!

Heather and her extended group were great. They communicated well and respected the historic house. Thank you again for choosing us and I wish we had the availability to send your stay! Be safe and you are welcome back at any time :)
This home is a great stay. The owner has left nothing undone; the kitchen is stocked with appliances and amenities. Its location is walking distance from downtown in a quiet neighborhood.
There are two washing machines and two dryers , I’ve never seen that in a rental before ; it was handy! We used the grill on the top floor patio; it’s a great view of the mines!
If you are a tv viewer there is one in every room.
Our grandgirls loved all the indoor and outdoor space as did we!
We would without a doubt rent again.
Ed, is very attentive to every message I texted.
We enjoyed our stay, a home away from home!

Why they chose this property
The wonder, history and amazement that the Black Hills affords have grasped at out hearts. From decades of motorcycling these hills, spending time with friends and family who live in the area, we were in search of a property that had both history and functionality. We chose this home for its location, rich history, and ability to service our family. From the doctor who built it in 1884, its charm teems. Adjacent to the hundreds of miles of hiking and ATV trails, to the history and magnetism of Deadwood, to the ski slopes of Terry Peak, we found a spot that can be shared with others.
What makes this property unique
The central location of this home, coupled with the expansive off-street parking makes this an ideal base camp for all of your Black Hill excursions.
